Typhoon Hagupit: The Philippines is Not Ready for Another Super Typhoon!

Published Disyembre 5, 2014 by jptan2012

Just a little over a year ago, the world experienced the strongest typhoon every recorded in history, and it directly hit the Philippines. Unfortunately, as the chart of the year showed, the year will experience one of the greatest heat we’ve experienced, and indeed it has been one warm year. But as stated in the forecast of this blog, the weather will be extreme, it may be really warm but whenever we experience rain, it will be quite bad. True enough the weather had been quite extreme this year. However, what I totally didn’t expect, although in hindsight, which shouldn’t be surprising, we in the Philippines is once again experiencing a Super Typhoon.
The forecast has been confusing, so I won’t dwell on that so much. However, I would like to encourage everyone Filipinos and readers from abroad to please pray for the Philippines.
If you are Catholic, please join the hourly prayer instituted by the Church. For other religions, please do pray for the Philippines. For Buddhist please chant the following mantra for the Philippines.
Mantra of the Bodhisattva of Compassion: OM MANI PADME HUM
Mantra of the Medicine Buddha: TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA
Mantra of the Amitabha Buddha: OM AMI DEWA HRIH
Mantra of Ushnisha Sitataputra: TADYATHA OM ANALE ANALE KHASAME KHASAME BHAYRE BHAYRE SAUMA SAUME SARVA BUDDHA ADISHTANA ADISHTITE SOHA OM SARVA TATHAGATHA USHINISHA SITATAPUTRA HUM PHAT HUM MAMA HUM NI SOHA
Please recite each mantra 108x each every hour also.
Typhoon Hagupit is forecasted to pass by the same path where Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) ravaged last year. The Philippines is not yet ready for another Super Typhoon.

Learning to Love the Summer Heat!

Published Abril 7, 2014 by jptan2012

sunshineIt’s now summer in the Philippines, although it’s a weird one because of pending typhoon, no one can deny that the summer heat is already here. In fact, the heat is so bad that the water level in Angat Dam, which supplies water in the whole of Metro Manila, is threatening to dry up.

I personally don’t like summer. I’m the type of person who loves cold weather. However, whenever I remember that with the summer heat comes the summer intense sunshine and with it also comes the yang energy of the sun! This is a good time for people to tap into the power of the sun to reenergize ourselves with yang energy, especially for those who are suffering from a series of bad luck.

It’s quite simple. Simply take a walk or do outdoor exercises or yoga or simply bathe yourself with the energy of the morning sun. The best time is between 6am and 9am! While doing it, imagine yourself being cleansed with the healing energy of the sun!

This technique is so simple and best of all its free! Just make sure you don’t burn yourself too much!
