#PrayForParis

Published Nobyembre 14, 2015 by jptan2012

prayforparisWhen I checked my phone this morning, the very first thing I saw was an sms from a good friend telling me to turn on the TV and watch the news. His text message says Paris is under attack!

When I turned on the TV alternating between BBC, CNN and AL JAZEERA, I saw what most people would have known by now, that there was several attacks made in Paris and that there’s an hostage crisis in Bataclan Concert Hall (they sometimes call it Bataclan Theatre).

I shall not go into details about it simply because as of now most of the reports are still hazy and I will leave that to the professionals to do the reporting.

But what I would like to talk about is that I read in the news that #PrayForParis trended on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It is really heartening to see people form all over the world expressing their solidarity to this attack, an attack that President Barack Obama who has extended his sympathy and support not only to President Hollande but to the rest of French people, says is not just an attack against France but also an attack against humanity.

However, I do hope that most people would have really prayed for Paris and not just put it on the social networking sites for it to trend. Our prayers no matter how simple would make a difference. But let us not just simply pray for the people who died or who were hurt, let us also pray for people who lost their families, children who upon waking up on Saturday would have found out that their parent/s have died in the attack or parents who lost a child or people who lost a sibling, a friend. Let us also pray for those who were involve in the rescue operations, for those who are involve in the investigation, but more importantly also those who terrorists who killed all those people. They need as much if not more prayers.

For Buddhists you can chant the following:

  1. Medicine Buddha Mantra – TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE (BHEKANDZYE) RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA
  2. Mantra of the Compassionate Bodhisattva Kuan Yin – OM MANI PADME HUM
  3. Mantra of Amitabha Buddha – OM AMI DEWA HRIH
  4. Mantra of Kstigarbha Bodhisattva – OM AH KSITIGARBHA THALENG HUM

Chant as many as you can.

Vajrapani Ruel Stories (14): Winning A Contest On National Television!

Published Hulyo 23, 2015 by jptan2012

Today, I would like to share with you another simple Vajrapani Ruel miracle or Vajrapani Ruel Stories as it is call here on this blog.

RP is a government official who works for one of the financial institution in the country; he got the Vajrapani Ruel for himself and his wife as early as January. However, for today I would like to share first the story of his son. Let’s just call him the JP (same initials as mine is purely coincidental). JP is a Theater Arts student in UP. When the leading noontime show decided to have a comedy contest, JP decided to join it with his friend.

RP called me up to watch the program but unfortunately I wasn’t able to.

Anyway, RP wanted to lend his son his Vajrapani Ruel, but because he is not sure whether it will be kept safe all the time he was highly hesitant, but RP’s daughter who has a Vajrapani Ruel also decided to lend her’s to JP. RP is not sure whether his daughter’s Vajrapani Ruel was with JP all throughout the program but one thing he is sure of is that the Vajrapani Ruel was rubbed against the body of JP before the program.

The Vajrapani Ruel looks simple, maybe even rustic, but this simple amulet is packed with a special talisman paper inside, with various ingredients, which includes Namtso Salt, soil, various herbs and plants, crystal, and a relic from a high lama. It's important to put the ruel inside a amulet holder or something sturdy as to not ruin it. If the cloth had tear which exposes or spill the ingredients inside, the ruel becomes useless.

According to RP, JP is good. Trust me he said this without any bias. He is just being fair. However, the competition is really tight, JP’s brand of comedy is very theatrical in nature because that’s their training, while the other contestants’ brand of comedy is very street wise. According to RP, JP and his partner didn’t expect to win and wanted to go home at the middle of the program.

However, at the middle of everything, they noticed that the announcement of winners was suspended and the commercial break was extended. After a while, the program said that they would be announcing the winner, rather the winners. They clarified that they’ll be breaking the rule of having just one winner and that they will have two winners for that day.

To make the long story short, JP and his partner was one of the winners. RP, his wife, and JP, his son, all believe that they won largely because of the Vajrapani Ruel!
