A Special Amulet From Within for the Hungry Ghost Month: A Reader Shares Her Thought on How She Was Protected from One of the Worst Hungry Ghost Month We Ever Had.

Published Agosto 15, 2017 by jptan2012

In the preceding post, I talked about BM and how she was asking me about this year’s Hungry Ghost Month. As I said in that post, I made some mistake in saying that this year’s Hungry Ghost Month is not any worse than an ordinary Hungry Ghost Month, although like any other Ghost Month one has to be very careful and cautious with one’s dealings. And so when I found out about the Lunar Eclipse and the Total Solar Eclipse that is happening on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Month which is on August 21, I have to call her and rectify what I initially told her. But instead of making it a dreadful conversation as to what are the bad things that may happen, BM said something that is full of wisdom.

You see, last year people born in the year of the Ox have some terrible luck. We had one of the strongest #5 Flying Star (also known as Wu Wang or Five Yellow Star) and it landed on the sector of the Ox! Furthermore, last year’s Hungry Ghost Month was quite intense for people born in the year of the Ox. In the strictest sense of the word was bad year for the Ox, and very challenging one. BM was born in the year of the Ox and she survived last year with panache!!!!

What did she do? Obviously she armed herself with all the necessary amulets like the Five Element Pagoda gold pendant, the gold Kalachakra pendant, Vajrapani Ruel, etc., You name it she has it, but what is most important is that she armed herself with what I would like to call the AMULET FROM WITHIN!

What is this AMULET FROM WITHIN? It is quite simple really; basically she sincerely armed herself with goodness, compassion, kindness, and love. Obviously, this is not something that she does only for the sake of the Hungry Ghost Month or for counter acting the effects of bad luck. But this is something that stems from within her and sincere is an understatement.

You see whenever we talk, BM, would always candidly share that she prays everyday but she seldom prays for herself, she always pray for other people. 99% of her prayers are for other people and if she ever mentions herself it is simply a “postscript” rather than the center of her prayers. Below, I will put a link of all the BM articles, and there you will get to read about all the sincere charity that’s she do almost everyday. In so many ways, she is indeed a human bodhisattva.

And so when I was talking to her about the effects of the total solar eclipse on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Month that is happening this year, she reminded me that aside from all the amulets, prayers is what really saved her. And of course, all the merits she has planted by way of good deeds and good thoughts without expecting anything in return.

Interment or Cremation: A Feng Shui Perspective!

Published Nobyembre 1, 2016 by jptan2012

I understand that the Roman Catholic Church now allows cremation provided that there is going to be a proper interment after.

Some of you, especially my regular readers, would know that I’m a big advocate of cremation. Why? Because this takes out a lot of the possible problem of Yin Feng Shui.

Yin Feng Shui is the branch of Feng Shui that has to do with the Feng Shui or burial sites or cemeteries. I myself am not very familiar with this because this is a critical branch of Feng Shui, something that may cause harm to the one who does this. My Feng Shui teacher in Hong Kong is a certified Yin Feng Shui consultant, and my Guru Lama himself without explicitly telling me is somebody who knows how to handle Yin Feng Shui. But again this is a very delicate branch of Feng Shui. In fact, in Hong Kong there is a famous Feng Shui consultant, one who is adept in doing Feng Shui and who is quite famous because he has attracted some of the richest people in Hong Kong as his clientele. However, when he did a delicate Yin Feng Shui and went to the cemetery, he died right there and then while he was doing it when a landslide happened and buried him alive. I’m sure my readers from Hong Kong and Taiwan would know whom I’m talking about, just as those who are familiar with Feng Shui.

But no matter how delicate Yin Feng Shui is, one has to do it if one opts for an interment, because a Yin Feng Shui, for example wrong placement of the tomb, or wrong direction can lead to really tremendous bad luck to the descendants of the person. Or the person itself might go to the lower realms like Hell or Hungry Ghost or Animal Kingdom or it may make your life next life as a human really bad.

But I repeat, doing Yin Feng Shui that is why I never fully studied about it except for some basic guidelines. And throughout my life as a Feng Shui practitioner, I have never attempted to do Yin Feng Shui except maybe thrice. One is when we have to correct the burial site of my paternal grandmother because the first Feng Shui consultant who did it made a mistake, but in effect I didn’t do it myself because all the decisions were made by my Feng Shui teacher in Hong Kong and all I did was to relay details to him. But even I was just a conduit I made sure that I’m absolutely protected.

Then the second time was when my good friend practically begged me to help him correct his father’s burial site. Again this was done with the help of my Feng Shui teacher and Guru Lama and I again act as conduit.

Last time was when BM who has minor burial site with her mother’s tomb, my Guru Lama guided me what to do. In fact, I really don’t want to do it at that time but my Guru Lama said that I owe it to BM to do it and so I went to Davao and did it. But again, with BM it was just a matter of placing a Vajrapani Ruel and a special amulet and doing some ritual and again I made sure that I’m totally protected. In fact, I even have to wear a special ritual robe for it, which was later burned.

You see a wrong burial or interment process, or bad Yin Feng Shui will cause all sorts of problems to the ones left behind. But, as mentioned, also to the ones that was buried.

What are these problems? Well, it can range from extreme financial bad luck or grave ill health, or even turbulent and chaotic relationships. I know of a person who is unable to have a child only because of an alleged mistake in the burial site of her husband’s grandfather. Another loss all his family’s wealth when he didn’t have the proper direction of his mother’s tomb.

We can get rid of all these problems and potentials issues if one resorts to cremation. Of course, one has to consult a Feng Shui as to what is the best time to cremate a person, but that is the only concern one has to deal with, because with cremation, you actually take out the entire chi left by the consciousness of the person who passed away. In a way, you also get rid of the vessel and in the process you take away the entire chi also. That is why, when Westerners cremate and throw the ashes on the sea or mountain or even Niagara Falls, there is no bad luck that is created because there is no chi that comes with it.

When You Experienced A Miracle or Some Good Luck, Do Not Forget What You Promised When You Were Down!

Published Setyembre 21, 2016 by jptan2012

VS is a 57 – year – old husband and father of six. He is a Taiwanese who got the opportunity to meet my Guru Lama in one his trips to Taipei. VS who grew up as a Buddhist heard from one of his friend that there is a visiting Tibetan monk who will give an intimate talk in their local Buddhist temple. VS for some reason thought of seeking out my Guru Lama.

Unfortunately, VS was not able to get into the talk. The temple did accommodate more than what the original number that they announced but because the place is quite small, they were unable to accommodate more even if they wanted to. But my Guru Lama, upon hearing that there are more people waiting outside the Buddha Hall, decided to do a short blessing for those who wanted to hear him talk. Mind you my Guru Lama is not a famous Lama but somehow he attracted a large group. My Guru Lama to personally bless one – by – one everybody who wasn’t able to enter the hall to hear him talk.

When it was VS’ turn to be blessed, he broke the instructions and begged my Guru Lama to give him time to talk to him because he wants to air out his concerns. My Guru Lama agreed to meet after the session ended.

In that session he aired out his sentiments, my Guru Lama never shared with me what he and VS talked about that day. But when I met VS in a special ceremony conducted by my Guru Lama in Singapore, VS shared with me what he shared.

According to VS, he has been poor all his life, and has been going to the temple to pray that he may have a better life, a good life. He also said that two of his sons, unfortunately got into drugs and he said that’s also the other reason he wanted to seek out my Guru Lama. Furthermore, the most important reason for seeking out my Guru Lama is that his wife has cancer and he was hoping my Guru Lama could help.

VS shared with me that my Guru Lama took pity on him and gave him a special amulet. When he got the amulet he made a promised to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas thru my Guru Lama that when his life become better he will make donations to the temple (not necessarily at the temple of my Guru Lama) and that he will continue to feed the monks and Buddhist nuns in India.

A few months after that he said he was offered by a rich guy to become an industrial partner in a business that the rich guy is putting up. His wife’s cancer was healed through chemotherapy, even though initially the doctors said that they are not very optimistic that the chemotherapy will take the cancer out, but it will only prolong the life of his wife. Both of his kids went to rehab and were eventually released ‘rehabilitated’.

That was about 7 years ago. I met VS 4 years ago when he was only about 53 years old. He looks old. He looks about 70 and I’m not exaggerating. We both met in Singapore in a special ceremony conducted by my Guru Lama. He went there for free thru a sponsorship of the other students of my Guru Lama. Somebody hosted him because he was too poor to get a hotel room, even a budget one.

What happened? According to VS he was not able to fulfill his promise. He didn’t make the donation; he didn’t donate for the food of the monks or nuns. But most importantly, he forgot about the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas, he forgot about my Guru Lama, and worst of all he forgot what gave him the luck. His wife passed away because of cancer, one of his sons died of overdose, and his other son is also back being a drug addict. He lost his business because his business partner pulled out because VS ‘became a different person’.

VS is the one who shared with me all these. I asked him whether he became bitter and he said yes. He contacted my Guru Lama again, and like a prodigal son by Guru Lama ‘accepted’ him again. According to my Guru Lama the reason why VS had bad luck again is because he sort of ‘lied’ and indirectly ‘slandered’ the Buddhas, the Bodhisattvas, and the Sangha by renegading on his promises that he made when he was really down. He did get his good luck, but it was not sustained because he forgot about his promises.

Some people might say that this is harsh. Maybe, but we should all remember that karma is not controlled by the Buddha or Buddha or Bodhisattva or Bodhisattvas. It is totally dependent on what we do. They may help prevent it but in the end by showering us with good merits, but at the end of the day, it is up to us. In this case, VS was the one who discredit the good luck that he got.

I write this now I also notice that some people when they consult me for concerns and try to request for either the Vajrapani Ruel or Surangama Mantra Amulet or the Illness Suppression Amulet, they tend to make promises like – when I get a miracle I will do this, I will do that. But sometimes they fail to do so. It doesn’t matter whether the promise was mentioned to me, to a friend, or even just to one’s self. Because a miracle is a miracle, and once you commit to do something for the temple or the Buddha or a Bodhisattva do it. There should be no excuses.
