The First Two Eclipses of 2018: What Does It Mean and How Should We Prepare for It?

Published Enero 8, 2018 by jptan2012

One thing I hate about people who give predictions is that a lot of them are doomsayers! And needless to say lately I’m starting to feel that I’m a doomsayer myself. I know I tried to keep an upbeat mood and despite of the fact that I tried to put in a semblance of balance in my forecast, I can’t help how people focused on the negative financial/wealth/money outlook of 2018 lunar year, which is the Year of the Earth Dog!

Nevertheless, I have stated what are the cures that one needs for the coming year so that it will lessen the impact of these negative chi or energies.

However, I have yet again to share some other not so good news. Just before the Spring Festival comes in on Feb. 4, 2018 we will experience a total lunar eclipse on January 31, 2018. Now moon is actually a sign of spring and not the sun. And as I have said in my forecast, this year we won’t have spring, because Chinese New Year (CNY) or Lunar New Year is coming in on Feb, 16, 2018. But the blue moon before the (CNY) should have served as a good sign for having the sign of spring. It should have bring some sort of small positive energy, but then the total lunar eclipse is a sign that whatever positive chi we can get from what small amount of “spring” we can get will be further blocked by this total lunar eclipse. An eclipse is yin covering yang energy.

And as if this is not enough, on the eve of Chinese New Year, we will have a partial solar eclipse. Again, this yin covering yang. And as believers of Feng Shui knows this is not a good sign, while the chart is balance with 2 pillars of Yin and 2 pillars of Yang, the two additional Yin events shows that this is going to be a challenging year ahead.

A lot of the effects, because of the missing metal element and the strong presence of the wood element in the year’s Bazi Chart / Paht Chee Chart, indicates that it will be towards peace and order, and financial. On a personal level, aside from financial, it would still be about power struggles and relationship.

During the time of the actual eclipse, whether you can see it from where you are or not, you should go indoors and turn all the lights on. Make sure you are also protected with either the Vajrapani Ruel and/or the Kalachakra gold pendant.

If you can’t help it but to be outside of the house or office. Make sure you have either the Vajrapani Ruel or the Kalachakra gold pendant with the Special Gold Piyao. The Special Gold Piyao being a highly yang item because of the Piyao, and the gold which is further enhanced with pujas, mantras, and sutras!

A Lunar Eclipse, A Solar Eclipse, and the Hungry Ghost Month: A Warning that We Should All Try To Keep Safe!

Published Agosto 14, 2017 by jptan2012

A few days ago, BM, a reader and a friend from Davao, who regular readers of this blog would be familiar by this time, asked me about this year’s Hungry Ghost Month. She wants to know whether it is going to be particularly bad. If you look at the relation of the coming of the Hungry Ghost Month with the flying star of August and September, the effects should not be very bad, and so I told her that this year’s Hungry Ghost Month although we should still be very careful is not in any way particularly stronger unless you are born in the year of the Horse, Snake or Sheep.

However, when I said this I was really busy and haven’t really taken the time out to look at formation of the stars thoroughly, and so I was greatly surprised that during one of my business meetings, one of my clients who knows that I’m a Feng Shui writer asked me about the effects of the lunar eclipse. I was surprised because of my busy schedule I didn’t even realized that we just had a lunar eclipse, albeit a partial one. But of course this had me worried already, because every lunar eclipse is definitely followed by solar eclipse, and when I checked I found out that it would be a total solar eclipse!

Now whether we see the solar eclipse here in Asia or not is irrelevant because the effects is definitely worldwide.

I have written in previous articles that an eclipse is almost always a bad omen. This is whether the eclipse is solar or lunar. For this year’s solar eclipse, what makes it dreadful is that it happens on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Month, and I have never ever recalled than an eclipse happening on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Month, and this is most certainly an indication that something big either worldwide or to several countries will happen during the Hungry Ghost Month or will start during the Hungry Ghost Month.

In my annual forecast, I said something might happen on the 3rd quarter of this year, and this full solar eclipse on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Month seems to have validated this forecast, and so all of us have to be careful and take extra precaution. It will also greatly help if we can include in our prayers or dedication of merits our countries, the welfare of this world, and also the leaders of this world and of our countries.

On a personal level, it is best to stay indoor during the actual eclipse, and is also highly advisable to wear the Kalachakra Pendant, or carry the Vajrapani Ruel with a Chung Kwei. This is because this phenomenon also has the power wreak some bad luck in our lives. Financial problems might occur especially to those who are in the midst of big transition, or worst health or safety issues might arise especially to those who whose job or lifestyle is already putting them at risk more than a normal person is and definitely those who are already sick.

Regular readers of this blog knows that I hate being a messenger of doom, but this is something that we really need to face and be ready for. And as I always say, the reason we know these things in advance because we can do something about it.

Getting Support Through Feng Shui

Published Disyembre 1, 2012 by jptan2012

In my recent trip to San Diego, California, my best friend’s brother and sister-in-law generously volunteered to host me all throughout my stay there. I’m really glad that I took on their offer to stay in the house because I don’t have to eat hotel food, and to be honest, I saved up a lot of money because I don’t have to pay for hotel room and J, my best friend’s sister-in-law always make sure that I have food and I don’t go hungry. That only downside is that I gained some pounds and fat, a big thing for somebody who is trying to lose some weight. I really love J’s cooking, she has put a lot of American twist to the Filipino dishes.

It is in their house, one dinner, that I met W, a German – American guy who works in a bank in the States. During our dinner, conversation went into Feng Shui, and this is when W consulted me about his problem in the office.

According to W, he believes that he is fairly successful and that he has a good life. However, there’s something that has always bothered him, everything he does in the office, he always have to ‘…fight for it, fight with a capital F-I-G-H-T…’. W said he never seemed to have gotten his superiors’ support even though he has fairly proven himself and that his projects has mostly been successful. He once thought that it is a personality difference issue but even when one of his superior was replaced, he still faces the same problem with the new one. He gets along with his new superior on a personal level, but somehow it seems like he is unable to get the superior’s professional support.

P, my best friend’s brother, and J suggested to W to request me to Feng Shui his office. I told W if he believes in Feng Shui I’d be willing to do it for him and told him to bring me to his office. We then agreed on a date.

When W brought me to his office, I immediately saw the problem. He has a spacious office, but the office also has a glass wall, and when seated his back is facing the window/glass wall. This means that he doesn’t have any support coming from his back!!!

The problem is pretty obvious and quite simple to cure. Having an ‘empty space’ behind your work area will translate to a literal support-less atmosphere for you in your work. Like what W experienced, if there’s nothing behind you, you also won’t get any support, no matter how good you are in what you do. Sometimes, even if there’s a window behind you but there’s a building behind you, and it’s quite near your own building, then that building may act as a Feng Shui support. In the case of W, there’s no tall building behind him that can act as a Feng Shui support.3 Peak Mountain

Since he already has a small table behind him, I suggested that he put a Feng Shui 3-Peak Mountain behind him. Normally, what I would suggest is to put a painting of a mountain, however, since it’s a glass wall that also serves as a window, it’s impossible to hang a painting here, thus a Feng Shui Three-Peak Mountain will do. When it comes to effectivity, they’re both quite effective. It’s just that a Feng Shui 3-Peak Mountain might look a little out-of-place in his office.

Some 3-Peak Mountain has the Three Celestial Guardians. This works quite well as well.

I think, the Feng Shui 3-Peak Mountain is the solution to his problem, but I also suggested for him to wear a Ruyi pendant or carry it as a keychain to give him more authority.

It’s been about 2 months since I suggested the cure and W emailed me to say that he can now feel the significant change in the way his superiors look at his projects or proposals. They now give him their support. A colleague also commented that there is some change in W, according to W, the colleague said that he now seems more confident and authoritative. I’m guessing it’s because of the Ruyi pendant he started wearing.

I just want to give some guidelines about having a mountain and choosing a mountain picture to get support.

This is an ideal painting of a mountain that you can use for Feng Shui.

This is an ideal painting of a mountain that you can use for Feng Shui.

  1. Never put the mountain in front of you. It will be confronting the mountain, thus it will create your downfall.
  2. Make the painting or picture of the mountain big enough to make it noticeable but not so big that it overcomes you.
  3. A good mountain picture is something that doesn’t have a very sharp peak or sharp ridges.

Remember, a mountain behind you will give you solid support in your work and career!

dragon tortoise233Aside from putting a picture of a mountain or a Feng Shui 3-Peak Mountain, you can also put a Dragon-Tortoise behind you. It works as well. In fact, in my office it’s the Dragon – Tortoise that offers me support.
