Whose Karma Is It When A Person Dies Young?

Published Mayo 15, 2017 by jptan2012

When my nephew died, my initial reaction was to ask where did we go wrong. The pain and grief that I felt, that we felt, has temporarily blind-sided us to the fact that we already know. When a person is born, he or she has about 2 or 3 pre – destined date of death. Sometimes less, sometimes more. This means that when he was born this accident and death was already pre-destined and what amulets can do is to lessen the impact and move the date to the next date.

Using the above explanation it shows that when a person dies it is basically his/her karma to die at that time. If a person dies young it is basically his or her karma to die young.

The karma of the people around him, like his parents or grandparents, uncles and aunties, cousins, siblings, or wife or children is to go through the pain of the death. This kind of karma is something that is pre-determined. It is not because you did something really bad today that you experience that pain tomorrow.

I’m writing this because aside from the numerous emails of condolence and sympathy for my family and me and the parents of my nephew are emails questioning whose karma is it the nephew died young. Two emails even suggested that it was the people around him who did something wrong in this life, in this current life, that caused the death of my nephew.

I will understand those who are asking because they sincerely can’t understand why would a young boy passed away at such an early age. But those who are malicious and are asking it because they think that because I do Feng Shui and write about Buddhist amulets that I should not be experiencing these things, those are the ones who are quite difficult to understand.

Nevertheless, to answer the question ‘Whose karma is it that he died young?’ The answer is simple; it was his and his alone. It was his karma from one of his past lives. But what I know by being malicious about somebody else’s death, and then you are creating negative karma for yourself. Be worried about that and not about whose karma is it the person dies young.

The Case of The Eerie Resemblance of Enzo Ferrari and Mesut Ozil: Is This A Case of Reincarnation?

Published Hunyo 9, 2016 by jptan2012

Buddhists and Taoist believes in reincarnation, a belief wherein the spirit or soul of a dead person gets to be reborn again. For these two religions, it is not a matter of proving it but rather understanding the obvious signs that we give regarding our past lives.

It is believe that sometimes we may retain our physical looks. This is also the reason why a lot of New Age people believes that Enzo Ferrari, the founder of Ferrari, reincarnated as Mesut Ozil.

ferrari45.jpg

Enzo Ferrari

Enzo Ferrari was born February 18, 1898 and passed away August 14, 1988 at the age of 90 years old. If you want to know more about his life, I suggest you Google him, there are a lot of written materials about him.

Mesut-Ozil-404454

Mesut Ozil

On the other hand, Mesut Ozil who was born October 15, 1988 is a German footballer who plays for English club Arsenal and the German national team. If you look at their pictures there is an eerie resemblance between them. If you don’t know them one would even say they might be twins.

This eerie resemblance led people to think that Mesut Ozil is the reincarnation of Enzo Ferrari, especially because Mesut Ozil was born approximately two months after Enzo Ferrari passed away.

Now the question is Mesut Ozil the reincarnation of Enzo Ferrari?

If we are to be base it on Buddhist beliefs or teachings, the answer is NO. Why?

In Buddhism, the Sutra says that once we passed away, our soul will be reborn again either on the 7th day or 21st day or 35th day or 49th day after. It can be reborn as human again, or animals, or we could be reborn as hungry ghosts or if we are really good, then we can be reborn as heavenly beings.

Also, it is written in the Sutras that our consciousness or soul enters our body upon conception! Meaning our soul enter our ‘body’ as early as when the sperm meets the egg!

So taken these into consideration, base on Buddhist beliefs, it is impossible for Mesut Ozil to be the reincarnation of Enzo Ferrari because Mesut Ozil would have been already 7 months pregnant when Enzo Ferrari passed away.

However, admittedly, I don’t have any explanation as to why there is an eerie resemblance between the two of them.

Winning the Lottery and Coming Home. Dreams Fulfilled by the ‘Wish Fulfilling and Buddha’s Blessing Mantra Pendant’ – Another Personal Testimony of a Reader

Published Setyembre 4, 2013 by jptan2012

winning lotteryTo be completely honest, I really debated with myself whether I should I write this particular post or not. You see, a few weeks ago a reader mentioned to me that ‘we notice you’ve been actively promoting your pendant’. I was taken aback a little with what she said, because it certainly didn’t seem that way to me. However, upon reviewing my last few posts, I noticed that I indeed have been writing about the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT quite a lot and that observation was half correct. I know I have been writing about the pendant a lot, but I wasn’t really promoting it. It’s just that I can’t help it but be happy that a pendant that I designed has become a vehicle for people to receive so many blessings.

To date, there are a little more than a hundred people who has requested and received their WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT. Out of the hundred plus, I’ve received more than fifty plus testimonials. This is quite overwhelming because that means the pendant has become a vehicle of blessing to at least 50% of the people who has requested for it. I have written a few of them here, and there are a few more whose story about the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT are quite astounding that I will definitely soon write about it. Not all of the testimonials that was shared with me are ‘astoundingly miraculous’, some of them simply shared that the feel like the pendant has make them a calmer person, I believe there are about 3 of them who said this, one is an oncologist, and then there are others who said that they seem to be happier and more relax, and yet there are others who said that everything seems to be easier. What I’m trying to say is that not all testimonials are miraculous. Some are subtle. And of course, there are those who I’ve never heard from again after getting the pendant.

But then I thought why should I allow one erroneous observation get into me. There are simply so much more that I want to write, and there are so much more testimonials that I can share here. But at the end of the day, I write because I want to. In fact, as everybody can observe the title of this blog has nothing to do with Feng Shui, because the main purpose of this blog is for me to be able to write what I want to write, when I can write them. In the process, it became a Feng Shui blog, and as egoistical as it may sound, it does makes me really happy when I get messages, comments that recommendations on this blog, a Feng Shui charm that I suggested, or the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT has helped them. I’m even happier that several of my readers has since then become my friends, and that several more are willing to fight if this blog was attacked by people who may think that blogging about Feng Shui is a work of the devil.

And so with that, today I write again about a personal testimony of a reader about the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT.

Front side of the WISH FULLFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING PENDANT

Allow me to share with you another story shared with me by an Overseas Filipino Worker base in UK. What I like about this particular story is that AT’s story is so astounding in the sense that the effect of the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT is almost immediate. If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you’ll notice that most of the testimonials, other than the one that the very first testimonial shared here, usually takes weeks and months, but this one, base on AT’s story was just few days.

AT wrote to me several months ago. Unfortunately, her emailed went unanswered. She wrote again for a second time and this time I was able to read it. This was last at the end of April. AT has been working in UK for 13 years, and is the sole active breadwinner of the family because her husband who is a decade older than she is has high blood, and a heart problem. The doctor has prevented him from working hard labor, and being a carpenter is the only thing that he knows to do, but the doctor has prevented him from doing it. According to AT she can’t say anything about her family because her children (she has 3) are good children and they are obedient and studies really hard. Her husband, according to her is also a good husband, and was a good provider even if his job as carpenter only gets him a meager amount of salary.

AT went to UK to work as nurse aide, even she’s a nurse here in the Philippines, because no matter how much they work hard they are unable to make ends meet. Through her hard work and the support of her husband, they were able to put up a house, and they are able to pay for their children’s schooling. Her eldest son soon graduated and was helping out to send the other two to school. However, her eldest also soon married his childhood sweetheart, which is perfectly fine for them because the son is earning anyway. In fact, according to AT, despite of the fact that the son having his won family they decided to still leave at AT’s home and this suit everybody better, because both the young husband and wife are able to work, and the AT’s husband will take care of their granddaughter. Furthermore, because the son and her daughter – in – law need not pay rent, they are able to help out in the household bill.

Everything seems to be fine and AT and her husband has entertained the idea that as soon as the other two younger children finished school (they’re both in college), AT can come home and stop slaving herself abroad.

But fate seems to be a little cruel. Her son and his wife went to attend a wedding of a friend in Baguio (a mountainous province in the Philippines). They decided to take a day trip, going there past midnight so they’ll get to Baguio in the morning, attend the wedding, skip the reception, and come back to Manila. However, they had an accident on their way to Baguio and AT’s daughter – in – law and son both died.

Obviously, this misfortune crushed their world, and after they’ve managed their grief, AT soon realized that it will be unfair for her to ask her two other children to support their orphaned niece. AT and her husband soon realized that they will literally become their granddaughter’s parents. It was because of this that AT decided to write to me.

After some email exchange, AT insisted to get the pendant. I used the word insisted because as AT can attest, given that I know how important every penny is for them, I dissuaded her from getting the pendant. I even told her she could just recite some mantras. Nevertheless, as mentioned, she insisted on getting the pendant. It took her longer to get the pendant, which was originally promised to her that she’d get it in 3 weeks.

Her husband with one of their other son met me at a mall to pick up the pendant a few weeks ago, and according to AT instead of sending her the pendant right away, her husband decided to delay sending it to her by a day so he can try his luck with the lottery first.

Much to their surprise, they won the grand jackpot prize! AT and her family totally attributed this wonderful miracle and luck to the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT.

Needless to say, according to AT she’ll be back by the last week of September. I know because she just told me about it.

By the way, AT is putting up a small business and the rest according to her are going to be invested.

Be Receptive to Celestial Messages: Omens of Bad Luck

Published Hunyo 2, 2012 by jptan2012

Yesterday, I talked about the different celestial messages that indicate good luck. Now if the universe gives us messages to inform us of possible good luck, they also sent messages to us to indicate possible bad luck that may come our way. Some of the most common bad luck omens are the following…

A light that flickers ‘on and off’ is usually a sign that something bad may happen. We often see these in films but unlike most things portrayed in the film, there’s a lot of truth here. In the olden times these usually happens with candles and/or lamps and may still happen in your altar lights, but any other ordinary household lights that flickers is also an indication of a bad luck.

A dish breaks while you’re using it is also a great indication of a bad omen.

While on the road and thinking of a project and you encounter a roadblock, this usually means that there’s going to be a problem or a delay. I personally experienced this omen. One time I was trying to collect from a client who usually pays on time. I was in the car when I called up the person-in-charge and while talking to her I encountered a roadblock, I knew then that there’s going to be a problem in the payment. True enough because of a new policy of their office, there’s going to be a delay in the payment, and it took another two months before they were able to pay me. The road block may come as a real physical road block or you may be browsing a magazine/newspaper or surfing the net while thinking or discussing the matter with somebody and you encounter a picture of a road block. That would be an omen already.

A bursting pipe usually indicates bad luck for the whole family.

Coming across a fallen tree that blocks your way is an indication of a bad luck also. A fallen tree blocked a friend who was on his way to a meeting, which is held at the construction site of his housing project. He was with his mom at that time, which he was dropping off at the grocery. His mom told him to just cancel the meeting because the fallen tree gave her an uneasy feeling, however, he said he’s not superstitious and needs to proceed to the meeting. When he got to the meeting, he had an accident and was bedridden for about a month. Not all bad lucks are as obvious as this; sometimes it can happen in other ways, like losing a contract or a project, or losing some money.

I wrote before that encountering a funeral is actually not a sign of bad luck, however, if you happen to see an accident that involves a dying or a dead person it usually means something bad is also about to come your way.

Also, yesterday I wrote about coming across a person who carries religious items usually indicates good luck. But if the said person were carrying a cross then that would mean that you would soon have to carry a burden.

Lastly, and not to put a stigma on disabled person, but on your way to a big meeting or a project and you encounter a severely disabled person who is not on a wheelchair would usually mean that the project is going to be problematic.

These are just some of the possible omens, you might encounter some other omens or celestial message, and we do encounter them everyday, you just need to be more conscious about the fact that everyday the universe tries to communicate with us.

Improve Your Work Feng Shui with the Seed Syllables of Buddhism

Published Mayo 1, 2012 by jptan2012

In my past posts I talked about the different FENG SHUI TIPS FOR THE WORKPLACE (1 and 2), and about the different FENG SHUI TIPS FOR THE WORKING PERSON. Today, allow me to share how one can improve their Work or Career Feng Shui by using symbols use in Buddhism.

I personally use some of the things that I’m going to suggest here and I found them to be truly powerful that enables me to accomplish the things that I need to accomplish even those that I think are unachievable Furthermore, it helps maintain my ‘sanity’ and not give into pressure.

One of the most common and very powerful Buddhist symbols that I always use for my work is the Victory Banner. I’ve discussed about the Victory Banner before and I will not discuss about it here. If you want to know more about the Victory Banner please read the following posts – FENG SHUI TIPS FOR THE WORK PLACE (2) and THE VICTORY BANNER: A POWERFUL FENG SHUI TOOL FOR CAREER SUCCESS.

The other Buddhist tools that you can use to help you with your work are by tapping into the power of Mantras! I’ve wrote about mantras entitled – MANTRA: THE POWER TO TAP THE SYMBOLIC SOUND, SCRIPT, AND THOUGHT – please do read more about it for you to be able to understand more how they work. But also equally powerful with the mantras are the seed syllables.

Seed Syllables are basically shortened version of the mantras. However, they in itself are very powerful and create a different form or energy on its own. There are different kinds of seed syllables and I won’t be able to share them all here. However, there are different seed syllables that are works well for the different field of work or work environment.

The one that I use a lot is the seed syllable HRIH. It’s a wonderful amulet for those who are in marketing and public relations (like me); it’s also very good for those who are in advertising, legal profession (lawyer, judge, police), sales, journalism. The seed syllable HRIH has the ability to ensure that it wearer will have the ability to overcome any hostile and emotionally stressful environment.

Another powerful seed syllable is BAM. It’s a seed syllable that is good in protecting people who deal with nature or environment a lot. It has the power to block off negative energies brought about by the beings in the third dimension. It is also a powerful tool against unintentional evil eye brought about by envious and jealous people. Therefore it’s a good charm for people who hold powerful position. It’s also very good for those who’s work involve the environment like – rigging, mining, quarrying, even construction, environmental scientist, agriculture, aquaculture, etc.

Next is HUM. HUM is one of the most common syllable, which can be found in a number of powerful mantras like OM MANI PADME HUM or OM PADMO UNSHNISHA VIMALE HUM PHAT or OM VAJRASATTVA HUM. HUM is a very powerful seed syllable of protection. People whose job involve a lot of traveling or involve some delicate situation will benefit from this seed syllable. If you’re a pilot, a captain of a ship, a flight and ship steward, traveling sales agent, military, tour guide, you’ll benefit a lot from this seed syllable.

Though not exactly a seed syllable but more of a mantra, I would like to include OM AH HUM here. The mantra OM AH HUM has the power to clear our your surroundings from negative chi, so if you work in a hospital, morgue, cemetery, it is advisable for you to wear the symbolic script of the mantra OM AH HUM.

HOW DO YOU WEAR THE SAID SYLLABLES?

You can buy it as a jewelry or you can simply print a copy, enclose it a case and carry it with you.

A Calm Mind

Published Marso 7, 2012 by jptan2012

The idea to write about this again came from a reader who a few weeks ago contacted me to request for the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT.

J mentioned in one of his emails that he’s just starting to understand more about the Buddha Dharma. A few days ago, he wrote another email inquiring as to whether there are mantras that he can recite for him to be calm and for him to have peace of mind.

A calm mind and peace of mind are two different things. The latter is usually achieved one’s we have come to terms with our past deeds and mistakes, it is also achieved one’s we have attained a calm mind. It’s a struggle. Having a calm mind is a precedent for a peaceful mind.

Since a calm mind precedes a peaceful mind, that it what I’m going to discuss now.

The first thing that you have to acknowledge is that it takes practice to have a calm mind. You work on it, it’s not something that you simply hope for and voila it happens right away. You have to constantly remind yourself that you want to be calm, that you NEED to be calm.

I, myself, had to struggle to achieve a calmness that I really need. I used to be a very hot headed person, not only that, since I was young my mind has always been hyperactive, I would constantly think about how things would go wrong, how people are doing me bad, I always think that all good things are done with malice and hidden motives. Because of this, I do get into trouble a lot of times. I was pretty violent and pretty harsh with my words and deeds; this kind of behavior is destructive not only to the people around me but also to myself.

There were a few times that I wanted to see a therapist to help me with my hyperactive and malicious mind. However, when I delve into Buddhism deeply, I found myself becoming calmer. I still do have those burst of emotions and hyperactivity, but I can honestly say that I’m now calmer and is able to control myself better. I also don’t really think a lot of negative thoughts and my being a worrier has subsided.

I won’t be able to pinpoint in on a single thing that helped me to be more calm, rather the change, which was gradual, is brought about different things that all worked together in helping me to have a calm mind.

First, understanding more about Buddhism has really helped. It helps that I understand that every action, every thought, every word has an effect. It creates karma, and whether that karma is good or bad depends on your deeds, words, and thoughts. The idea that reward and punishment is directly proportionate to your own deeds, thoughts, and words helped me to be more cautious and level headed.

Second, images of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Deities, Immortals also helped in constantly reminding me that I can always call on their assistance for me to achieve the calmness that I need. They had become a constant point of meditation for me.

Another very effective tool is reciting the mantras. All the mantras will definitely have a calming effect. However, to be specific in the purpose of the calmness of the mind the PRAJNAPARAMITA MANTRA, the MANTRA OF THE MASTER OF HEALING, more popularly known as the MEDICINE BUDDHA MANTRA are the two mantras that works well with trying to calm the mind. The Prajnaparamita Mantra is – TADYATHA OM GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI SOHA. It really is just GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI SOHA, however, when reciting it one needs to add TADYATHA OM. The Medicine Buddha Mantra is – TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA.

Reading the various SUTRAS are also very helpful in trying to achieve a calmness of the mind. This is not only because at the point of reading you try your best to concentrate on the teaching, but more importantly, the Sutras really has such an effect.

Wearing a PRAYER WHEEL is also a very powerful tool to help achieve a calmness of the mind that we all need. If you want to know more about the Prayer Wheel do read my post – THE POWER OF A PRAYER WHEEL.

In my pursuit to have a calmer mind, I also decided to never watch horror movies because I find that the chi in creating a horror movie and watching them is so bad that it disturbs a person. It doesn’t matter whether you get scared or not, just watching it is enough to affect you in some way.

Wearing the image of the Medicine Buddha or the symbolic script of the Medicine Buddha Mantra as pendant also has a calming effect. I’ve previously discussed in length about the Medicine Buddha and about the power of the mantra. If you want to know more about them please read my post entitled – MEDICINE BUDDHA: A HEALER, PROVIDER, AND PROTECTOR OF BOTH THE PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL REALM – and – MANTRA: THE INSTRUMENT TO TAP THE POWER OF SYMBOLIC SOUND, SCRIPT, AND THOUGHT – respectively.

The WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA'S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT has the image of the Medicine Buddha on the front and the Medicine Buddha Mantra symbolic script at the back.

These are just some of the tools that we can use to help us have a calmer mind. There are other ways to achieve a calm mind, however, this would require seeing one’s BAZI and Feng Shui of the house. Thus, I’m unable to discuss it here.

But more than anything, the first step to a calm mind is the decision to make it happen.
