The Challenging Last Quarter of the Year: What to Do and How to Protect Oneself (Part 2) – Chant – A – Mantra (15)

Published Oktubre 26, 2017 by jptan2012

In the first part of this post which was posted last week, I talked about how the energies of the year has started to be quite challenging. To make it easier for you to understand it, I have taken to share the article here again:

Late last year, I wrote that the lunar year 2017 would become challenging at the start of the 3rd quarter until the last quarter. The third quarter dawn upon us a lot of calamities both manmade (economic/political) and it is very likely that there is something that has started in the 3rd quarter whose effect we will feel this last quarter of the lunar year (November, December, January) or will feel it’s effect next lunar year, which starts in February 16, 2018.

The remaining energies of the year is not very nice, it is quite hostile, and this would most likely be felt in the financial aspect, although technically speaking all fronts are affected – personal, health, and political or even natural aspect.

There will be some economic of financial imbalanced and money will be quite hard to come in, so it is highly advisable for you everyone to have a strong wealth or money amulet. The VAISRAVANA – DZAMBHALA WEALTH AMULET is a very good amulet to have because it helps ensure stability and it helps create not just attracts money luck or wealth luck or financial luck.

Politically speaking, and even personally level, it might be a little more chaotic, so politicians are advised to have the Ruyi to strengthen their power and or the Vajrapani Ruel. On a personal level this will manifest in having more arguments, blockage to success or career path and also lost of support.

Health wise some people might be more prone to accidents and/or illness, thus it would be nice to have the gold Kalachakra pendant and/or the Illness Suppression Amulet.

Overall speaking, one has to protect oneself and wearing images of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas should help. I personally suggest wearing the image of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva (also known as Earth Store Bodhisattva or Di Zhang Wang Pu Sa). I also strongly recommend for one to wear the FOUR DHARMAKYA RELIC MANTRAS WITH THE LAMA ASTISHA AMULET, an amulet that I have previously written. You can read more about it by clicking here.

It is also highly advisable for everybody to start saving up and plan for long-term financial investments.

If it’s any relevance, it is not only me who is saying this, other reputable Feng Shui experts or writers are saying the same thing. The world famous Malaysian Chinese Feng Shui expert and writer, Lillian Too, has also announced the same thing. A friend told me that she has shared some mantras that you can chant to protect yourself by downloading her video for a fee.

As for me, I have shared with you the amulets that one would need to protect oneself from these hostile energies brought about by the last quarter.

However, as per consultation with Guru Lama, there some mantras that you can chant also. Please note that these mantras should be chanted under deep meditation, with a minimum of 108x (one full mala) or under extreme condition, chant 10 full malas of 1,080x each.

The protection mantras one should recite are the following:

Mantra of Buddha Amitabha: OM AMI DEWA HRIH

Mantra of Medicine Buddha: TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA

Mantra of Buddha Namgyalma: OM BHRUM SOHA OM AMARITA AYUR DADAY SOHA

Note: Buddha Namgyalma is powerful protector Buddha.

Mantra of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara: OM MANI PADME HUM

Note: Avalolitesvara Bodhisattva is also known as Guan Shi Yin / Guan Yin / Kuan Shi Yin / Kuan Yin / Quan Shi Yin / Quan Yin / Kannon / Goddess of Mercy / Bodhisattva of Compassion / Chenrezig.

Mantra of Bodhisattva Earth Store: OM AH KSITIGARBGA THALENG HUM

Note: Earth Store Bodhisattva is also known as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Mantra of Bodhisattva Vajrapani: OM VAJRAPANI HUM

Mantra of the White Umbrella Goddess – Ushnisha Sitataputra: TADYATHA OM ANALE ANALE KHASAME KHASAME BHAYRE BHAYRE SAUMA SAUME SARVA BUDDHA ADISTHANA ADISHTHITE SOHA OM SARVA TATHAGATHA USHNISHA SITATAPUTRA HUM PHAT HUM MAMA HUM NE SOHA

Protective Mantra of Tantric Deity Kalachakra: OM AH HUM HO HAM KSHAMALA VARAYA HUM PHAT

Mantra of King Vaisravana of the Four Heavenly Kings: OM VAISRAVANA YE SOHA

Mantra of Yellow Dzambhala: OM DZAMBHALA DZALIN DRAYE SOHA

If you find yourself extremely affected in the financial aspect and you don’t have the VAISRAVANA – DZAMBHALA WEALTH AMULET, aside from the above mantras you can add the following:

Mantra of the Wealth Granting Tara: OM TARE TUTTARE TURE DANAM ME DADA SOHA

Mantra of the Green Dzambhala: OM KARMA DZAMBHALA AH SOHA

Mantra of the White Dzambhala: OM PADMO KRODA ARYA DZAMBHALA HRIH DAYA HUM PHAT

Mantra of the Red Dzambhala: OM DZAMBHALA DZALIN DRAYE DANAM MEDIHI HRIH DAKINI DZAMBHALA SAMBHARA SOHA

Mantra of the Blue/Black Dzambhala: OM DZAMBHALA DZALIN DRAYE BASHU DHARINI SOHA

How to Deal With Difficult People

Published Mayo 27, 2014 by jptan2012

difficult peopleIn my line of business, I always deal with a lot of people, and there are times that some people can be a little bit more difficult than others. And there are times there are people who are extremely difficult to deal with. I have one such client. She just seems to oppose all my suggestions and whenever she approves my strategies after numerous ‘arguments’, she then will make it difficult for us to execute it properly.

Normally, I would ask my associate to deal with difficult clients. My associate will deal with clients who can’t get along well with me, and this kind of systems usually works for us. However, for this extremely difficult client (DC), my charm and charms combined with the charm of my associate seems to be not working for her. I’ve resigned the account several times but the weird thing she won’t let us off our contract, which means she wants us to stay on the team and be the marketing strategy consultant. However, her extreme ‘bad’ attitude makes it stressful for us to work with her, and I realized it’s either I simply don’t honor the contract and risk going to court or I have to do something about her!

After thinking it over, I decided I should just use Buddhism Feng Shui with her. I don’t really know whether she’s going through something that’s why she’s being difficult or it’s simply her attitude. But I thought I’d use Buddhism and Feng Shui with her.

I decided to recite one mala of the Mantra of the Compassionate Bodhisattva (sometimes also called the Mantra of Compassionate Buddha), Kuan Yin (The Bodhisattva of Compassion / Buddha of Compassion), on her. I would recite OM MANI PADME HUM in the car while visualizing that my mantra gets to her. Then just before I get to see her, I will quickly recite 7 times the Medicine Buddha Mantra and blow on my right hand. The hand that I use to shake other hands, upon touching shaking her hands I will imagine that the healing energy of Medicine Buddha will envelope her.

During the meeting I will constantly make sure to smile at her when appropriate, nod to whatever she’s saying and make sure that my arms are not cross and in fact, that they are open in a welcoming stance. And one of the most important thing is I will wear my Prayer Wheel, a Prayer Wheel has a calming effect not only to the one who has it, but to all the people who’s near it. Whenever I can, with disrupting people, I will spin my Prayer Wheel necklace.

Well…She’s so much more pleasant now!

Don’t Know Your Bazi? Just Create a Positive Personal Energy!

Published Disyembre 3, 2013 by jptan2012

I do get a lot of request asking me to read their Bazi or Paht Chee. A big chunk of the request is because of the fact that they want to have positive energy or good luck. I believe that knowing one’s bazi is important to create a good personal Feng Shui. However, bazi analysis does take time and I, most of the time, no longer accept bazi or paht chee analysis requests because it is a tedious and time-consuming process. For some, it can be really expensive. Nevertheless, not knowing one’s bazi should not be a hindrance to good Feng Shui.

One of the basic principles of having good Feng Shui is to create good personal energy. Surrounding yourself with good personal energy or positive energy is an easy process. Just follow some of the tips below.

USE A PRAYER WHEEL

I’ve written about prayer wheels before, but I would like to reiterate that a prayer wheel is one powerful tool to create a positive or good personal energy. You can use a handheld one or better yet get a prayer wheel pendant so that you can wear it as a charm or jewelry and use it every time you feel down or feel that you’ve been in a place with negative energy or chi.

To understand more about prayer wheels read my post entitled – THE POWER OF A PRAYER WHEEL.

I personally have a hand held, table top, and pendant Prayer Wheel. A Prayer Wheel has a very good calming effect.

CHANT A MANTRA

Chanting a mantra creates a lot of positive energy. Mantras are believed to be magical words given to us by the Buddhas. Again, I’ve written about this and you can read my post entitled – MANTRA: THE INSTRUMENT TO TAP SYMBOLIC SOUND, SCRIPT, AND THOUGHT – to know more about it.

For the purpose of creating good or positive personal energy you can recite the following mantras:

  1. The mantra of Avalokitesvara also known as The Mantra of the Compassionate Buddha – OM MANI PADME HUM.
  2. The Mantra of Medicine Buddha – TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA.
  3. The Immediate Light Negative Karma Cleansing Mantra – OM AH HUM.
  4. The Wish Fulfilling and the Negative Karma Cleansing Mantra – OM PADMO USHNISHA VIMALE HUM PHAT / OM HANU PHASA BHARA HE YE SOHA

Ideally, these mantras should be recited one full mala a day.

WEAR A PENDANT THAT HAS THE SYMBOLIC SCRIPT THE MANTRAS OR IMAGES OF A BUDDHA OR BODHISATTVA

Wearing a jewelry that has the symbolic script of the mantras or images of the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas, especially if this is made of gold or precious or semi – precious stones like a jade, is also a powerful tool to create a positive personal energy or good energy. I really believe in this that it prompted me to design the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT for myself for my family. The pendant has since then become a vehicle of numerous blessings to a lot of my readers.

The pendant has the image of the Medicine Buddha, the symbolic script of the Immediate Light Negative Karma Cleaning Mantra – OM AH HUM, and the Wish Fulfilling and the Negative Karma Cleansing Mantra.

Wearing the pendant, because it has the mantras and images, becomes an aura or chi cleanser.

HELP OTHER PEOPLE AND DO THIS WITH SINCERITY

Helping other people such as giving to charitable institutions is one way of creating a good personal energy, however, this should be done with sincerity. Doing this just because you want to create a positive personal energy doesn’t count. The one that works here is the law of karma.

READ, CHANT, COPY OR CARRY A SUTRA

A sutra is usually a story about a Buddha or about a Buddhist teaching. It is believe that simply having a sutra becomes a blessing. You can read or chant or copy or carry a sutra to help create a positive or good personal energy. But why just stop at reading it or chanting it, copy and carry a sutra to help create more positive personal energy.

These are just some of the of the ways to create a good or positive personal energy. Can think of somebody else that you can share?

This is from my personal collection. The reason I love this pendants so much is because it has a inscription of the Heart Sutra at the back. I wear the smaller one everyday.

Communicating with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas Using a ‘Mo’

Published Hulyo 14, 2012 by jptan2012

A few nights ago I had a big scare, I woke up in the middle of the night with a severe chest pain and slight difficulty in breathing. The first thing that occurred to me is that I might be having a heart attack. The fact that I know that I have the illness star at that time intensified this fear.

The first thing that I did was to say one full mala (108 times) of the Medicine Buddha Mantra – TADYATHA OM BHAKNADZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA. After reciting the full mala, I blew on my right hand and rubbed it on my chest while sincerely praying to the Medicine Buddha to heal me.

I immediately felt a little better after reciting the Medicine Buddha mantra. However, I need to assess whether I still need to rush myself to the hospital, knowing that heart attack may be deceiving and you might not feel anything at all. I don’t want to wake my siblings up and scare them.

Not sure whether I’m really having a heart attack or not, I decided to ask the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Kuan Yin. I did this by doing an oracle or MO using my mala.

A MO is a form of oracle, one use this to divine what the Buddhas or the Bodhisattvas are trying to communicate with us. This is usually done by asking a specific question that is answerable by YES or NO, or GOOD, NEUTRAL, or BAD.

As mentioned there are different kinds of MO but what I’m about to share with you right now is the easiest from of MO.

What I did is I got my mala, and called on the Buddha or Bodhisattva that I wanted to consult. In this case, I called on Kuan Yin. I first recited Kuan Yin’s name three times and told Her that I need to consult her about my health. I then stated my question, which in this case is – AM I HAVING AN HEART ATTACK?

After stating my question, I then recited one full mala of the mantra of Kuan Yin, which is OM MANI PADME HUM.

After reciting the mantra, I then re-stated my question and then said that for YES, I’ll have one bead left, then for NO, I’ll have two beads left. I then dropped the mala and used both of my hands to pick it up. You should randomly picked it up, using both hands, then from both ends, slowly move your fingers one bead at a time from each hand until there’s only one or two beads left.

In my case, when I did this, there were two beads left so the answer in NO, which means I’m not having a heart attack.

My second question is whether it is something really serious. I repeated the process but this time I opted for an answer that will say GOOD, NEUTRAL, or BAD. Again, the process is basically the same, only this time I’ll only stop when there’s only three, or two, or a single bead left. A single bead stands for GOOD, two beads means NEUTRAL, and three beads means it’s really BAD. This time I got an answer that it is neutral. So it was not clear with me whether I have to go to the hospital or not. I decided to ask a third question.

The third question is whether I need to rush to the hospital. I did the whole process again, and this time I opted for the YES or NO response. The answer is NO, which means I don’t need to rush to the hospital.

Just to be sure I decided to the MO again for the second time, this time I called on GODDESS TARA. I repeated the same three questions, and the answers are all the same.

Doing the MO saved me from scaring my siblings and rushing to the hospital for nothing. I use the MO a lot especially in making business decisions. The MO is nice because everybody can do that and you don’t need special skill, talent, or sixth sense to be able to do the MO. However, you need to believe and not do the MO just for fun.

The Mantra of The White Umbrella Goddess

Published Mayo 20, 2012 by jptan2012

In my last post, I wrote about Ushnisha Sitataputra who is better known as the The White Umbrella Goddess. While, I highly revere Ushnisha Sitataputra I unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, don’t have a highly miraculous personal story that I can share about her. However, allow me to share the story of a Canadian Buddhist who I met in one of my trips in Legaspi, Albay.

B works for an international NGO, and she was assigned in one of the remote town in Albay. Because she was assigned in a remote town that has no internet she’ll have to travel to Legaspi City every Monday to be able to do her paper work and reports and email them to their regional head. She would usually stay at the volunteer’s house rented by their NGO for them. The house also functions as an office. In one of her overnight stay at the Volunteer’s House an accident happened. The Filipina that they hired to help them keep the place clean forgot to turn off the electric fan that she used in the kitchen, they’re not sure whether it overheated or there was short circuit but whatever happened it created fire. At that time B and four other volunteers where in the house, but B was sharing a room with another female volunteer from Singapore.

B and her roommate were woken by shouts and banging from their door. When her roommate opened the door, one of the other male volunteers was shouting, according to B she didn’t really hear what he was saying because she already saw what was happening, the thick smoke outside their room indicated that there was fire and it was already bad.

According to B the three male volunteers attempted to go down the stair s but is unable to do so because of the thick smoke. They went inside B’s room and attempted to break the window. But typical of Filipino houses they were actually ‘barred’ from going out through the window. Unable to break the window, they all went to the only other room occupied by the male volunteers, but again their efforts to break the window proved futile. They were all in panic and felt that they’re trapped. B said she unconsciously touched the The White Umbrella Goddess pendant she is wearing, and something prompted her to recite the short version of the mantra of Ushnisha Sitataputra, she said she’s not sure how many times she recited it but soon after reciting the mantra she remembered that there is a fire escape which is weirdly accessible through the window in the restroom. She called everybody and while everything was burned to ashes, B and her co-volunteers escaped unharmed. She firmly believes that it was The White Umbrella Goddess who saved them.

According to Lama Zopa Rinpoche, one of the fastest ways to tap Ushnisha Sitataputra’s protection and/or blessing is to wear or have her image in your house and recite her mantra. The mantra of The White Umbrella Goddess is a mouthful but a very powerful one.

Allow me to share with you her mantra.

TADYATHA OM ANALE ANALE KHASAME KHASAME BHAYRE BHAYRE SAUMA SAUME SARVA BUDDHA ADISHTANA ADISHTITE SOHA OM SARVA TATHAGATHA USHINISHA SITATAPUTRA HUM PHAT HUM MAMA HUM NI SOHA

This is one of the mantras that I regularly recite, and although saying it 7 times a day, everyday, is powerful enough, I prefer reciting one full mala at least twice a week.

The short version of the mantra is HUM MAMA HUM NI SOHA. But it is advisable that you recite the full mantra three times before saying one full mala of the short version.

This pendant is similar to the one worn by B. My dream is to be able to design my own Ushnisha Sitataputra or The White Umbrella Goddess pendant. The ones that are available are made of plastic, like the one in the picture, or are made of cloth. They don’t last really long.

Furthermore, wearing an Ushnisha Sitataputra pendant will also ensure that you are constantly protected. Having an image of The White Umbrella Goddess at home, in your living room, will also ensure that your house is constantly protected.
