In my previous post – 2016 Year of the Monkey Feng Shui Forecast Base on Bazi, Flying Stars and 24 Mountain Stars Formula: An Imbalanced Year Filled With A Number of Good Stars (Part 1) – I talked about the first part of my annual analysis of the years. At this point, allow me to share that these are predictions but rather they are forecast base on a careful analysis. The past years saw a high level of forecast written on this blog, especially the one about Typhoon Haiyan (Typhoon Yolanda), the 2014 weird weather occurrence, and the Nepal Earthquake of last year. However, let me clarify that these are not done because of a gift of being a psychic, but rather this is done because of a careful analysis base on the year’s Bazi or Paht Chee chart, and the Four Flying Stars and 24 Mountains Formula. Part of this is studying how these three factors combined will affect the world.
This year a lot of people have been bothered and worried because they read somewhere that this is a BLACK YEAR or DARK YEAR. They had the impression that this is going to be a terrible year because this is a Black Year. So let me start off by discussing this.
Yes, it is true that 2016 Year of the Fire Monkey is considered as a Black Year. While we should all be a little worried that 2016 is Black Year, there is no reason for us to be more worried than the usual Black Year. A Black Year is when a black star such as the #2 Flying Star (Illness Star), #3 Flying Star (Argumentative Star), #5 Flying Star (Five – Yellow Star or Wu Wang) and this is the most dreaded star, or #7 (Robbery Star) lands on the center and becomes the ruling star of the year. Having said this, 2015 with the #3 Flying Star being on the center is also considered as a black year. But as I said a Black Year is unavoidable and it happens a lot considering almost half of the flying stars are black stars. I think the only time that we should be more worried than usual is when the dreaded #5 Flying Star or Five Yellow Star or Wu Wang lands on the center thus becoming the ruling star. This happened last 2013, which is when Typhoon Yolanda happened, in fact, this is why I was so sure something bad going to happen in Visayas at that time. If you notice this is also when the problem with ISIS really started to become big, although we here in the Philippines or Asia is not so focus on this yet.

Having said that, while I clarified that we shouldn’t really be panicking if we have a Black Year, it doesn’t mean also that we should be complacent about it. There is a need to worry a little. But as I always said, what is Feng Shui if we cannot remedy these problems?
On the first part of this 2016 Year of the Fire Monkey Feng Shui forecast I mentioned that this year’s 24 Mountain Stars Formula is worth note taking because we have a lot of good stars, as much as 8 Animal Zodiacs are greatly blessed by these stars, and in fact, this is what would save the Tiger, who is afflicted with the 5 – Yellow Star or Flying Star #5, from having such a bad year because the Tiger is blessed with some of these Auspicious Stars, and not just any auspicious star, a big one at that. Unfortunately, same can’t be said for those born in the year of the Ox. But again more on that on the succeeding forecast.
For those who are not familiar the 24 Mountain Stars Formula is another branch of Feng Shui. It has more than a 100 stars, and the truth is the more common one is 108 stars but there are Feng Shui experts and teachers who believes that it is 112 stars. I personally subscribed to 108 calculations. These stars are in turn divided into 5 different categories: Big Auspicious, Small Auspicious, Xa Xing (Killer Star or Killing Star) obviously these are stars that we want to avoid, Chao Xing (Struggle or Conflict Stars), and Yin Chia Xing (Yin House Stars).
It will be difficult to discuss here the different sub – categories but as of now, it is enough that you understand that the good stars are the Big Auspicious and Small Auspicious. The stars that we want to avoid are the Chao Xing and Yin Chia Xing. And the one that we really really want to get rid of is Xa Xing.
This year the East and West are flanked by Big Auspicious stars and so if your house is facing East or West, or if your room (bed room, office) is in the East or West side of the building then you are quite sure to benefit from these stars.
So not let me start with this year’ analysis.

THE CENTER HAS THE #2 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS THE ILLNESS STAR.
As the name implies, this star causes illness and to some extent it can be fatal or terminal. This star also causes some accidents that may make you invalid for a long time if not permanently. Because this becomes the ruling star of the year, all signs are affected. Furthermore, this becomes the ruling star so we all have to be careful.
Feng Shui Cure:
The Illness Suppression Amulet or Illness Protection Amulet is a special highly consecrated amulet made by my Guru Lama as a cure for the Illness Star a star that also causes accidents. It has the energies of the Medicine Buddha, Namgyalma Buddha, Amitayus Buddha and White Umbrella Goddess. Furthermore, the small black thing you see at the bottom of the glass amulet holder is a Dharma Pill, which is made from a second – class relic of a confirmed holy lama. It also has a small amount of ash from the last Medicine Buddha holy initiation conducted by my Guru Lama, and aside from individual special consecration, the whole amulet was further consecrated under the Tooth Relic of Shakyamuni Buddha.
To counter the effects of this star, it is important that one constantly recite the Sutra of the Medicine Buddha and the Medicine Buddha Mantra (TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA). Secondary cure for this displaying a Wu Lou (also spelled as Wulou) or Holy Gourd and putting it at the center of the house. However, as most of you know since this stars lands of the center and making it a powerful ruling star, my Guru Lama has come up with a special Illness Suppression Amulet and that is he has combined three of the most powerful anti – illness and anti – accident mantras, which he has consecrated under the Tooth Relic of Shakyamuni Buddha and included some powerful Dharma Pills.
I shall write about the Dharma Pills in my succeeding post. But basically a Dharma Pill is a special small object that is made of second-class relics of high lamas and is highly consecrated. Please note consecration is better than simply blessing it.
The mantras that are included in this Illness Suppression Amulet are the Medicine Buddha Mantra printed in a blue paper, Namgyalma Mantra and White Umbrella Goddess Mantra printed on a white paper, and Amitayus Mantra printed on a red paper. Aside from wearing this, all houses should have one in the center. I haven’t personally seen this amulet and will provide a photo once the item has arrived.
The center being the center is not affected by any of the stars in the 24 Mountain Stars, however, here you will just see your directional orientation to determine what stars affects you in the 24 Mountain Stars formula.
THE EAST HAS THE #9 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS MULTIPLYING AND FUTURE PROSPERITY STAR.
Technically speaking, this is neither a good or bad star. The power of this star is to let you reap whatever you sow. This star basically multiplies whatever karma you accumulate. If you do more good things you’ll have more good luck in the future, but if you continue to do a lot of bad things, you multiply your negative karma as well.
Feng Shui Cure:
Photo Uploaded from Google Images
Last year, I didn’t put any enhancer or cure recommendations because I want people to be more conscious about what they do. However, a reader told me that there are times that we simply, without intending to be bad, create some things that earn us negative karma. For this I highly recommend either the image of the Medicine Buddha or the symbolic script of the mantra OM AH HUM or OM HANU PASHA BARA HE YE SOHA both of which are on the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT. For those who don’t have the Wish Fulfilling and Buddha’s Blessing Mantra Pendant, you can simply chant the mantras mentioned above or wear the Surangama Mantra Amulet or Vajrapani Ruel.
24 Mountain Stars:
As mentioned the East is flanked on both sides by Big Auspicious stars and so those people whose house is facing the East, or whose office are in the East are sure to benefit from this star. Together with the #9 Flying Star, you will surely soar high, because this can make the Multiplying and Future Star quite turn into a really positive star.
The SOUTHEAST HAS THE #1 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS THE VICTORY STAR.
This star brings luck to your endeavors. It helps ensure your success. This year the White Victory Star also ensures that people whose main door faces the east will have wondrous victory luck.
Feng Shui Enhancers:
Put in your bedroom or carry or wear one of the following images – Victory Banner, Lung – Ta or Wind Horse, Kuan Kong, or Surangama Mantra Amulet.
Victory Banner also called as The Banner of Victory
24 Mountain Stars:
The Southeast has one of the Small Auspicious Star, and so if your house or office has an entrance or is fronting the Southeast, and if your bedroom or office room is in the Southeast you should benefit from this star. Combined with the #1 Flying Star this sector becomes even luckier!
THE SOUTH HAS THE #6 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS HEAVEN’ BLESSING AND MENTOR STAR BUT IT ALSO HOUSES THE THREE KILLINGS.
This star helps set the ‘tone’ of the year for people whose office, or room is in the NE side of the house or building. Meaning, if you continuously do more good the more blessed you’re going to be. This also means that if you’re Chinese Animal Zodiac is not so good, you will have help from Heaven (Buddha, Bodhisattvas, Deities, Immortals, or Saints). This also means that you’ll be lucky enough to have people who will help you achieve your goal.
Feng Shui Enhancers:
In your room or office put some crystal ball or 6 White Jade tied with a red string. People who are staying in this sector and people born in the year of the Horse will do well if they invite an image of a Buddha or Bodhisattva or Deity or Immortal by wearing their image as a pendant. I personally suggest one of the following: Kuan Kong, Avalokitesvara aka Kuan Yin, Maitreya Buddha aka Happy Fat Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Yellow Dzambhala, Green Tara.
However, this star is of a metal element, and so it slight weakens being that it is on the South side, which is ruled by the fire element. So the cures that you can put should be made of metal.
This year the Three Killings also found its way to the SOUTH, Unlike the Tai Suey or the Five Yellow Star, which we must avoid, the 3 – Killings is something that we must confront. Meaning, the best way to deal with it is to face the Three Killings and not turn our back against it. If the 3 Killings is not confronted then it can wreak three kinds of misfortunes to a person. The three misfortunes are accident, financial loss, and illness.
So a good way of dealing with the Three Killings is to place the image of the Three Celestial Guardians or images of three different Buddha, Bodhisattva, Deity or Immortal in the West section of the room, house, office, and building. Those who are staying in the West section of their house, office, building, or room must wear an image of the Three Celestial Guardians or images of three different Buddhas or Bodhisattvas or Deities or Immortals.
The Three Celestial Guardians are the Fu Dog, Chi Lin (also spelled as Qi Lin or Chilin or Chi Lin) and Piyao (also spelled or called Pi Yao, Pi Xiu, Pixiu).
But you also have another Yin Chia Xing here. The characteristics of the Yin Chia Xing here is something that may affect your safety. To deal with this particular Yin Chia Xing, I suggest that you put or wear an image of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, especially if your house or office faces South and if your bedroom or office is in this sector.
THE SOUTHWEST HAS THE #8 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS THE WEALTH STAR BUT IT ALSO HAS THE TAI SUEY GOD OF THE YEAR.
This star is a very good star. It gives you abundance and to some a ‘bottomless’ pocket filled with money. This star is not just about money wealth but this is also for over – all abundance.
Feng Shui Enhancers:
Faux gold Coins or Bars or Ingots should be place on this sector. Wear an image of a Wealth Deity like the Maitreya Buddha, Kuan Kong, or Sun Wukong.
Happy Fat Buddha (Maitreya Buddha)
24 Mountain Stars:
However, the SouthWest has the Yin Chia Xing, Yearly Killing, and the Tai Suey (also spelled as Tai Sui). The first two are bad stars and the Tai Suey is the God of the year.
If your bedroom or office is in the SouthWest of the building or house, I suggest that you put a Surangama Mantra Amulet or a Prayer Wheel. And if the entrance of your house or office is in the Southwest or if the entrance is in the Southwest, I strongly suggest that you carry or wear a Surangama Mantra Amulet and a Prayer Wheel.
A solar prayer wheel is a prayer wheel that spins on its own with the use of solar energy.
Again if your bedroom or office is in the Southwest you should wear a Kalachakra Pendant (made of gold or clear quartz or jade). If your house or office faces or the entrance is in the Southwest put the symbol of the Kalachakra outside your house or office.
However, it should be noted that this year, the Tai Suey God is still in the Southwest. It has to be noted that Tai Suey is not part of the Flying Star or 24 Mountain Star but we need to always take this into consideration because offending the Tai Suey will create a lot of bad luck.
The Taoists, where most of how we do Feng Shui originated, believes that a certain God called Tai Suey or Tai Sui or Grand Duke in English rules a year. This year 2016, Tai Sui of the year is General Guan Zhong (管仲). However, you have to understand a little about Taoist Gods for you to be able to understand why we have to be careful in dealing with the Tai Suey.
Taoist Gods are like humans with supernatural powers. They have magical and godly powers but they may also have human temperament and they also have characters and personalities. Meaning, they can get angry with our acts, they can be disturbed and get angry with us and thus render a punishment to us, or maybe the simple act of them getting irritated with us might create some misfortune. However, they can also be appease and happy with us and render us some good blessings, or again, the simple act of the Tai Suey getting happy with us will create some good fortune.
2016 Tai Suey God (Photo Uploaded from Google Images)
To help ensure that Tai Suey is happy with us always carry an image of the Pi Yao or Pi Xiu. This celestial animal will help appease the Grand Duke or Tai Suey. Another image that can help manage the Tai Suey God is to carry, display or wear an image of the Wind Horse or Lung Ta. People born in the year of the Monkey and Ox and Tiger are directly affected by the Tai Suey God (also spelled as Tai Sui, Tai Sue) should have either the Piyao or Lung – Ta. Also, if your door faces SouthWest, or if your bedroom and office is in the SouthWest you should also put the image of the Piyao or Lung Ta or Windhorse. People who are occupying the SouthWest also should wear or carry the image of the Piyao or Lung Ta. Also one of the best protections for the Tai Suey is an image of the Goddess of the North Star or Dou Mu Yuan Jun, thus having her image is also highly advisable.
THE WEST HAS THE #4 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS THE ROMANCE AND SCHOLASTIC STAR.
Romance luck is heightened if your room is on this side of the house. For single people, you might have the possibility of finding love. For partnered people, you might find your love getting more ‘fragrant’. However, for married couple the effect might be two fold. First, you might find yourself loving each other more deeply, but there might also be the possibility of a third party getting involved. It is also called Scholastic Star because it also has a good effect on the scholastic pursuits of a person. Meaning, students may become more studious, and professionals might find that it’s easier to understand documents.
Feng Shui Enhancer:
Mandarin Ducks made of Rose Quartz
For single person you can put a Rose Quartz Mandarin Ducks on your bedside. For married couple, you can hang the Double Happiness on your headboard. To safeguard yourself from a third party, tie an Amethyst Geode with Red String on the foot of your bed or ask your partner to wear a gold image of Kuan Kong. You can also use the power of Green Tara to ensure that this star works for the positive only.
24 Mountain Stars:
As mentioned the West is flanked on both sides by Big Auspicious stars and so those people whose house is facing the West, or whose office are in the West are sure to benefit from this star.
THE NORTHWEST HAS THE #3 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS THE ARGUMENTATIVE STAR.
The Flying Star #3 also known, as the Argumentative Star is a star that causes relationship problem, numerous bickering, litigation problems, quarrels and problems/conflicts with people in authority. If not controlled and suppressed, this star will bring about tremendous with your family and officemates or business partners. It can also cause a lot of unnecessary legal issues. This star has to be suppressed.
It also has to be noted for this year, all patriarchs and leaders are affected by this star, especially those who leads their businesses.
Feng Shui Cure:
Normally the best cures for this star are either the Ksitigarbha Fireball (but for this year, this is not recommended because of the strong fire element of the chart) or the Nine – Ring Sword of Kuan Kong. The image of Kuan Kong is also a very good cure for this star. People affected by this star can wear or carry an image of the cures. The Maitreya Buddha also known as the Happy Fat Buddha is also a great help. These are what I normally recommend. But lately I noticed that another great cure for this are the Surangama Mantra Amulet and Kuan Yin with Heart Sutra Pendant.
Back side of my Kuan Yin pendant. You can see though it’s small the The The Heart of the Prajna Paramita Sutra is written behind it.
24 Mountain Stars:
With the #3 Flying Star flying into this sector, you would think that it is going to be a terribly bad year for this sector. However, the 24 Mountain Star compensated it by bringing in 3 Auspicious Stars. So while one has to be careful about getting into fights and argument, people whose offices or bedroom or whose entrance faces or is in this sector should also receive a lot of blessings.
THE NORTH HAS THE #7 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS THE VIOLENT STAR.
The star brings hostility and loss through robbery, theft, or even manipulation. Next to the Five Yellow Star or Wu Wang, this is one of the most dreaded stars. This year people born in the sign of the Ox are affected by this star and by the dreaded #5 Flying Star also known as Five Yellow Star. But more on that on the succeeding post. The only good news is that this year the #7 Flying Star (Violent Star) is not a very strong star.
Feng Shui Cure:
The Vajrapani Ruel looks simple, maybe even rustic, but this simple amulet is packed with a special talisman paper inside, with various ingredients, which includes Namtso Salt, soil, various herbs and plants, crystal, and a relic from a high lama. It’s important to put the ruel inside a amulet holder or something sturdy as to not ruin it. If the cloth had tear which exposes or spill the ingredients inside, the ruel becomes useless. The Vajrapani Ruel itself is only about 1 to 2 inches and it varies from one ruel to another.
Since this is one most the more serious star that we have to take care of, it’s important that people whose houses are facing North or simply staying in the North side of their house should have one of the following: Vajrapani Ruel, Sun Wukong, Kalachakra.
The North has the Yin House and is also facing the 3 Killings. It is easy to deal with the Three Killings, all you have to do is just confront it or carry the image of the Three Celestial Guardians.
However, the Yin Chia Xing is something else and the characteristic of the Yin Chia Xing here is different from the other Yin Chia Xing mentioned above. If your house or office is facing North, it is quite important to put a Surangama Mantra Amulet of the entrance of your door. If your room (bedroom, office) is on the North side of the property it is advisable that you wear a Surangama Mantra Amulet or a Prayer Wheel. You can also put a Prayer Wheel or Surangama Mantra Amulet on your room.
THE NORTHEAST HAS THE VERY DREADED #5 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS THE 5 – YELLOW STAR OR WU WANG.
Feng Shui practitioners all know that this is the most dreadful star amongst all the 4 bad flying stars. In fact, sometimes it doesn’t matter whether you’re lucky base on your Bazi chart, if you are afflicted with this you are going to face a very challenging year. This year, the Wu Wang is ever more dreadful because it lands on the NorthEast sector, which is a sector ruled by the earth element, thus making this Five Yellow Star even more powerful. So the effects may be doubled. If you stay (office, room) in this sector or if your house faces this sector or if you are born in the year of the Ox or Tiger, it’s IMPERATIVE that you deal with this star. If you are on a budget and there is only one thing that you can deal with this year, deal with this. I cannot stress enough the importance of dealing with this.
The 5 – Yellow Star is the worst of all negative stars! It’s the most dreaded star. It is said to bring 5 different kinds of misfortunes!
And as mentioned this year the Wu Wang is much stronger.
Feng Shui Cure:
I asked my Feng Shui teacher and a Taoist priest as to what is the alternative cure for the Wu Wang. While the Kalachakra may be considered as a secondary cure. To this day, it is still the Five Element pagoda that can cure the effects of the Wu Wang. It has to be made of metal. For pendants, it has to be gold.
AGAIN! AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE MOVE OUT FROM THIS SECTION OR DON’T USE THIS SECTION. If that is not possible, you can also use the Five Element Pagoda (5 – Element Pagoda), or the Kalachakra made of gold. But I only recommended this as a secondary option. There is going to be a slight difference on how you use the Five Element Pagoda. First, make sure you are using a new one, take away the old ones and get a new one. Make sure also that it is something that can be opened (please see image below). Inside the top opening, instead of putting a soil, put a crystal. In that case you will still have use an earth element but with a very positive chi. Then at the bottom opening, you have to put three to five powerful amulets or mantras or sutras. I strongly recommend the following:
Please note that you should have at least have 2 of the first three suggestions.
Make sure that the Five Element Pagoda that you get is something that can be opened. At the bottom of the pagoda put 3 – 5 of the mentioned amulets, sutras.
Open the top. Normally one puts soil in it as shown in the picture. But for this year one has to put a crystal.
For people who stays in this section of the house or building and if you can’t move out of this sector, it is very important that you wear either the Kalachakra (gold, jade or clear quartz) or the Five Element Pagoda (strictly in gold) and also carry with you at least 3 of the mentions amulets that has to be placed inside the Five Element Pagoda. Furthermore, people born in the year of the Tiger should also ensure that they wear either the Five Element Pagoda (gold) or the Kalachakra (gold, crystal quartz, jade) and carry the above-mentioned amulets. For people born in the year of the Ox you should wear both the Five Element Pagoda and Kalachakra pendants in gold. The logic of this advice will be explained on the forecast for the Ox.
The Kalachakra Symbol is a powerful protection symbol. It is actually ten syllable mantra compressed into one symbol. The mantra is HO HAM KSHAMALA VARAYA HUM PHAT. However, it is usually chanted with OM AH HUM thus making the complete mantra as OM AH HUM HO HAM KSHAMALA VARAYA HUM PHAT. It is because off this that I decided to put the symbolic script OM AH HUM on top of Kalachakra Symbol. When worn it has to be in gold or clear quartz or jade.
Admittedly, the 5 – Element Pagoda and the Kalachakra pendants can be hard to find, especially you need to wear them in gold. For the Kalachakra pendant you can search the web to look for one, there are some online stores that sell them in gold or clear quartz or jade. It might be a little pricey though. For the Five – Element Pagoda gold pendant, unfortunately, I have been searching the web where to get this but I can only find two sources. One is thru Lillian Too’s online store.
The other one is through a private seller. I personally prefer the one sold by Lillian Too because the craftsmanship is better even if the private seller’s is a bit more affordable.
I also asked my Feng Shui teacher about other alternatives for the cure against the Wu Wang, and as of now it remains to be the 5 – Element Pagoda or (secondary) the Kalachakra and nothing else.
Even in the 24 Mountain Stars formula has really nothing good to offer, so it is quite important if your house or office building faces or the entrance faces this sector, you have to have the Five Element Pagoda and Kalachakra. The need for the Kalachakra, which is one of the most powerful symbols of protection in Buddhism, is to further strengthen the protection that we will be getting from the other cures. If your bedroom or office room is in this sector, again, I suggest you move out. If you can’t then it will be good if you can wear a 5 – Element Pagoda made of gold (it has to be gold, because you need the energy of the metal element and strong yang energy of gold for this), at the same time you have to carry some of the amulets mentioned above. I know I’m being repetitive but I cannot stress this enough.
It is worth noting again that for this year the Five – Element Pagoda should include some powerful mantra or sutra amulets and instead of soil put some crystals. For those who will need to wear the Five – Element Pagoda pendant it has to be in gold and carry 3 of the mentioned powerful mantra or sutra amulets above.
It is also important to get these cures early not only because they may be quite difficult to find but also because the energies of 2016 can be felt as early as January of the western calendar.
Again to better understand the 2016 Year of the Fire Monkey it will be good to read all the forecast. I know it is quite long but it is important for you to see the big picture.
