Why Did Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Manila Closed?: A Feng Shui Analysis!

Published Mayo 5, 2017 by jptan2012

I was hesitant to write this piece because other Feng Shui practitioners were involved. However, I decided to write it anyway because I want my readers to be aware that Feng Shui is not limited to the inside of the house, you should be very conscious of what is outside the house also.

Yesterday or in my preceding post, I talked about how the statue of Lapu Lapu in Magellan Shrine might have caused the death of several incumbent mayors. Today, I would like to share with you why I think Mandarin Oriental closed down. It is very similar to what happened in the said incumbent mayors who all died in office.

As I said, I was first hesitant to write about this article, but I would like to make it clear, when I first noticed what I notice I did talked to two professional Feng Shui Consultants with close affinity to the said hotel. What am I talking about?

Obviously, if you talk to the owners or management of Mandarin Oriental, they would give you various reasons as to why they decided to close. In fact, the official statement is that the property is “no longer in keeping with its luxury hospitality offering.” Of course, that would be another way of saying that they are losing money because they are no longer able to serve their guests with the amount of service they are able to provide. If they have the money they could have renovated the hotel several floors at a time, this was done by Philippine Plaza, which is now Sofitel.

So what really caused the ‘downfall’ of Mandarin Oriental? I firmly believed that the putting of some heroic statues with active stance that is directed towards Mandarin Oriental was the cause of this bad luck or lowering of sales of Mandarin Oriental.

In my preceding post, I talked about how the image of Lapu Lapu in Magellan Shrine might have caused the successive deaths of successive incumbent mayors; it is the same manner that the said statues (see picture) might have caused the bad luck of Mandarin Oriental. Although one of the images shows that the sword is not directed at Mandarin Oriental, the direction of the call for attack is directed towards Mandarin Oriental. Furthermore, there is another statue of a warrior (not sure whether it is Lapu Lapu) who is looking at Mandarin Oriental. Both images are of heroes that are warrior, meaning they are aggressive images and this is the reason why I think Mandarin Oriental closed down.

As mentioned, when I first noticed this, I brought it to the attention of two professional Feng Shui consultant, but for some reason they both said the fan like image logo of the hotel will ‘fan’ away the negative energies brought about by the statues and that the figures are relatively small compared to the sturdy structure of the hotel. And at that time I also thought that their explanation is not only plausible but also valid. So like them I came to the conclusion that it will not have any effect or if does, the fan like logo of the hotel will ‘fan’ it away.

But in hindsight, there are several flaws in that belief.

First, the logo is a shell and not a fan, shells easily cracks so it won’t protect the hotel from the negative energies.

Second, and perhaps the more important reason, the images are of long time heroes, older than the hotel, and they are immortalized because of the statue, so it does carry a lot of energies, not only from the statue itself from the history that it carries with it that was transferred in the making of those images. It carries years, hundred of years, even thousands of years of energies that makes really strong. And so because no one was careful, everyone was lax, Mandarin Oriental is now no more.

The lesson here is that we should be careful with our surroundings because it does affect our Feng Shui and more than that, we should not be complacent about it.

I also wrote this article to demonstrate that even an institution like Mandarin Oriental can be affected by a poison arrow or a hostile energy. This shows that we have to be more vigilant with our surroundings. Note that these arrows is not limited to statues, but it can as simple as a pointed object or image from a neighbor’s house or any structures outside our house or office.
