ATTENTION to All People Born in the Year of the Ox and Tiger and to All Those Who Stays in the Northeast: The Monthly Flying Star #2 Flies into the Northeast and Combine Forces with the #5 Yellow Star!

Published Mayo 6, 2016 by jptan2012

Regular readers of this blog know by now that this might be a challenging ear for people born in the year of the Ox and Tiger as well as people whose office or bedroom is in the Northeast or whose houses or office has a front door facing the Northeast. This is because the #5 Flying Star also known as Wu Wang or Five Yellow Star flows into the Northeast sector, which is also the sector that houses people born in the year of the Ox and Tiger as well as the middle son of each family. Everybody knows that this is the most dreaded star amongst all the flying stars and I suggest that if you are not familiar with the effects of this star, that you read all the other post about the 2016 annual forecast. This star together with the fact that the ruling star this year is the #2 Flying Star also known as the Illness Star, which is a star that brings in not only illness but accidents has put all the above mentioned people in a delicate energy this year. The above-mentioned people being affected by the Wu Wang have become more susceptible to the Illness Star also.

Some of you may know that other than the Annual Flying Stars, we also have the Monthly Flying Stars. The effects of these stars are basically the same but to a lesser degree. As the name implies, the Monthly Flying Stars, changes location every month, and depending on the star, this may temper or worsen your luck if combined with the Annual Flying Star.

Unfortunately, for the 4th Lunar Month (5th Western Month – May) the #2 Flying Star known as the Illness star goes into the Northeast sector. Thus affecting, I repeat, people born under the sign of the Ox and Tiger, all middle sons, people whose office or bedroom are in the Northeast, or people whose main door of their house or office faces the Northeast!

Five Element Pagoda

There are different versions of the 5-Element Pagoda. However, personally the original version and a small one, I believe, is okay and powerful enough to counter the effects of the 5-Yellow Star. As long as it’s made of gold. Also you have to be careful that the pendant is designed properly because a wrong design might make things worse. There is a 5 – Element Pagoda pendant available in the market that looks like a missile. As of today, I know only of two reliable sources of the Five Element Pagoda. One is in Davao, which makes it by order and has very affordable price, and another one is that of Lillian Too.

All of the above mentioned people should take extra care to avoid accidents or if you fall ill no matter how trivial it may seem it is better to see the doctor right away. On top of that, you should be careful financially, because weirdly the sum of Flying Stars #5 and #2 has a weird effect on finances, so be careful with your money, because financial luck or wealth luck or money luck might take a hit also. The strong earth energy in this sector this month (from May 6, 2016 to June 5, 2016) should be suppressed with the metal element. You can do this by wearing more metal or jewelries like gold that has an added Yang energy. It will be so much better if you wear the Five Element Pagoda made in Gold as a pendant. That’s the only known and accepted cure by most Feng Shui experts or Feng Shui consultants to this day.

Vajrapani Ruel

The Vajrapani Ruel looks simple, maybe even rustic, but this simple amulet is packed with a special talisman paper inside, with various ingredients, which includes Namtso Salt, soil, various herbs and plants, crystal, and a relic from a high lama. It’s important to put the ruel inside a amulet holder or something sturdy as to not ruin it. If the cloth had tear which exposes or spill the ingredients inside, the ruel becomes useless. The Vajrapani Ruel itself is only about 1 to 2 inches and it varies from one ruel to another.

The Vajrapani Ruel will surely help, and so try to hold it on your receiving hand and chant OM VAJRAPANI HUM as often as you can this month. If possible, everyday from May 6, 2016 to June 5, 2016. If possible put it in a metal holder to add the metal energy to suppress the earth element brought in by Flying Star #5 and #2.

Wear the Illness Suppression Amulet, which also protects you from accidents. Or wear a Medicine Sutra Amulet, or an image of the Medicine Buddha made of gold. Furthermore, please chant the Medicine Buddha mantra – TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA or recite the Medicine Buddha Sutra everyday. You can download the sutra on this blog by clicking here.

As mentioned wear more jewelries made of metal especially gold. If these jewelries are fashioned with auspicious designs then so much the better.

For this month, if you are an Ox or Tiger or belong to any of the above mentioned affected sector, then it is better to avoid wearing too much crystals. Remember, crystals are predominantly earth element and so one should avoid it. If you really have to wear one, please make sure it’s the golden or silver or bronze rutilated quartz. And the Tanzanite should be fine as long as it’s not worn with other crystals.

Lastly, make donations or give food to the poor or to the stray dogs and cats and even to birds. Do this sincerely. Sincerity is key.

Illness Suppression Amulet2

The Illness Suppression Amulet or Illness Protection Amulet is a special highly consecrated amulet made by my Guru Lama as a cure for the Illness Star a star that also causes accidents. It has the energies of the Medicine Buddha, Namgyalma Buddha, Amitayus Buddha and White Umbrella Goddess. Furthermore, the small black thing you see at the bottom of the glass amulet holder is a Dharma Pill, which is made from a second – class relic of a confirmed holy lama. It also has a small amount of ash from the last Medicine Buddha holy initiation conducted by my Guru Lama, and aside from individual special consecration, the whole amulet was further consecrated under the Tooth Relic of Shakyamuni Buddha.

Again to better understand the 2016 Year of the Fire Monkey it will be good to read all the forecast. I know it is quite long but it is important for you to see the big picture. For the Illness Suppression Amulet you can jump to item number 4.

Tap Into the Powers of Chung Kwei to Be Protected from the Bad Effects of the Hungry Ghost Month

Published Hulyo 22, 2012 by jptan2012

I just shared with you why Chung Kwei is considered as the ultimate protector from evil spirits, demons, and hungry ghosts, and their ill effects with the post entitled – THE FASCINATING STORY OF CHUNG KWEI, THE ULTIMATE CATCHER AND VANQUISHER OF DEMONS, GHOSTS, AND EVIL SPIRITS!

Chung Kwei (also spelled as Chong Kwei, Chung Kui, Chong Kui, Zhong Kwei, Zhong Kui, Zhung Kwei, and Zhung Kui) is usually depicted as an extremely ugly deity. He can be considered as a wrathful god, which is usually how protector gods are depicted. His face is also usually really dark if not black, and he usually has beard. He carries a sword that he use for battling demons and evils spirits and a magical fan, which he uses to ward of hungry ghosts or ghosts. However, it is said that his face alone is enough to ward of any evil spirits that is why it is not surprising to see some pendants that simply features his face. Sometimes, he is featured with a red bat, which symbolizes that he is capable of bringing good fortune through scholarly approach. This is because he is a highly learned man when he was still living.

Tapping into his power of protection is quite simple. All you need is to invite his image into your house. It is best to place him near the main door. However, if you can you can also put him by the stairs. Having his image in your office is also a good way into tapping into his protection for your office.

It is also advisable to wear an image of Chung Kwei as a pendant. Wearing his image as a pendant will ensure your protection. I always wear my Chung Kwei black jade pendant whenever I travel and I usually hang it beside my bed when I sleep, especially, if I suspect the hotel room where I’m staying is a Yin room.

However, there are some guidelines when choosing your Chung Kwei.

In choosing an image of a Chung Kwei for your home or office, it is important that:

  1. The image is made of wood, ceramic, porcelain, stone and never plastic or metal, unless it’s made of real gold.
  2. The image of Chung Kwei’s face should be red, black, or at the very least dark color.
  3. The image of Chung Kwei should have a fierce or angry looking face.
  4. The image should also have either all or one of his implements – sword and magical fan.

In choosing a Chung Kwei pendant, it is important that:

This particular Chung Kwei pendant features only the face. Notice the 2 little devils besides him with fearful face, it represents the first devils that Zhong Kui vanquished!

  1. The Chung Kwei pendant (Zhong Kui Pendant) is made of a red stone or black stone (ink jade which is technically green is also acceptable) or real gold. These are the only acceptable material for a Chung Kwei pendant. If getting a gold, make sure that it’s made of either yellow or red gold and not white gold. Anything outside these three are unacceptable. There are some Chung Kwei amulets available that are made of metal painted with gold. That’s not acceptable, plus it really has to be a pendant. It’s also very impolite to put the image of Chung Kwei in your pocket.

This is a sample of an ink jade pendant. It looks like it’s black, but if you put a light behind it it’s green tone will appear. This is acceptable.

  2. The Chung Kwei pendant should have a fierce and/or angry face.
  3. It’s fine to simply get a pendant that just features the face.

The problem is it’s quite difficult to get an image of Chung Kwei either as a pendant or as statuette, unless, you’re from Malaysia and Singapore. In the Philippines, I’ve only seen one or two stores in Chinatown in Binondo that sells good statuette of Chung Kwei. I now have only one piece of the statuette that I got in Singapore that I can dispose of. It is even harder to find a good Chung Kwei pendant, again, unless, you travel to Singapore, Malaysia, or Hong Kong.

This is a rare black jade pendant image of Chung Kwei. Was fortunate enough to find one in Beijing, China in a small shop.

Before wearing or ‘displaying’ your Chung Kwei it is important that you have it bless by a Taoist priest. If a Taoist priest is not immediately available to you, or if the Taoist priest that you met is not familiar with Chung Kwei, you can bless your image yourself.

Blessing an image of a Chung Kwei:

  1. Make sure that your Chung Kwei is really clean from any physical dirt.
  2. Place your Feng Shui on top of a bowl of rock salt or sea salt; adjust accordingly depending on the size of your Chung Kwei.
  3. For pendants cover it with a piece of red paper with your name and birthday on it.
  4. For statuettes, you can place the red paper on its base or foot. Write your complete address.
  5. Leave it there for 3 days.
  6. On the third day, light 3 candles in front o the Chung Kwei while it’s still on top of the rock salt or sea salt. Small candles will do, and make sure they are made of 3 different colors – red, black, and yellow or white.
  7. Burn the paper before 6PM.
  8. You can start wearing or displaying your Chung Kwei the following day.

Rituals to Appease and Protect Oneself from the Hungry Ghosts

Published Hulyo 19, 2012 by jptan2012

In my last two posts, I talked about and introduced to you the DREADED HUNGRY GHOST MONTH and also talked about the EFFECTS OF THE HUNGRY GHOST MONTH.

As I always said it is useless to know about all these things if we are unable to protect ourselves. It is because of this that I would like to share with you some rituals that we can do to help protect us from the ill effects of the Hungry Ghost Month and the Hungry Ghost Festival.

Some people will make more elaborate offerings liek the one depicted in the photo. However, simply offerings the ones that I’ve listed are good enough.

First, you must KEEP THE HUNGRY GHOSTS ‘HAPPY’, and you do this by feeding them. Some people say that you should do this every single day of the Hungry Ghost Month, but some say you should do this only on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Festival. Personally, I think this should be done every single day of the Hungry Ghost Month from the first day to the last.

What you need to do is quite simple. You need to put a bowl of cooked rice; a small cup of rice wine or any liquor; 3 different bowls of beans (red beans, chick peas, mung beans); a small slab of tofu or bean curd; a piece of any kind of fruit; a bowl of cooked peanuts; and a small portion of meat – any meat will do. Optional are lighting of 2 red candles and 2 incense sticks. However, I do these two as well. Also, you should put some Yin Money or Hell’s Money, which in the Philippines is available in Ongpin or any Chinatown. I also leave some real coins, which is considered as Yang Money, to balance the Yin energy of the Hell’s Money.

You should leave these things outside your main door. If you have a gate, you can also do this outside your gate, but if might cause some problems, just the main door of your house will do. I leave all these things outside the house for a full month of the Hungry Ghost Month, and only replacing some of the food if they start to spoil or rot.

Some people say that the bigger amount you put the better. But just follow your instincts and put just enough.

By doing this, you are preventing the Hungry Ghosts to enter your house to ‘look for food’, and sometime food can be your chi.

You can also do this in your office. If you happen to pass by an establishment or house that has this kind offering outside, it is customary to put some coins or small bills. It is like dropping and blessing the hungry ghosts with some yang energy to help them re-enter samsara (cycle of life).

At the end of Hungry Ghost Month, throw away the all the food and burn Hell’s Money. Donate the coins to a temple or church.

VISIT YOUR ANCESTORS’ grave or in the case of the Buddhist their spirit dwelling tablet. Light some incense and offer some food. It’s best to do this at the first 7 days of the Hungry Ghost Month.

VISIT A TAOIST OR BUDDHIST TEMPLE to ask for protection. Praying to any Buddha, Bodhisattva, Deity or Immortal is acceptable, but if possible visit a Taoist temple or Buddhist temple that has the images of the known protectors like Amitabha Buddha, Sun Wukong, Kuan Kong, Chung Kwei. Try to offer some fruits, flowers and incense.

LIGHT SOME LOTUS CANDLES. Lotus candles are simple candles made in the shape of a lotus, this is because lotus symbolizes purity and by lighting lotus candle you bless the hungry ghost with yang energy and purity. Two things that they need most to get out of hell.

Lotus Candles. You can also simply get candles in lotus shaped glass.

LIGHT SOME RED LANTERNS outside of your house (or window or balcony if living in a high rise) the whole month of the Hungry Ghost Month if you live near the ocean, river, lake or any body of water and if possible, let some lotus candle float on the body water on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Month.

PUT SALT ON YOUR DOORSTEP, WINDOWS, AND EVERY CORNER OF THE HOUSE. This is to ensure that the place is constantly cleansed of any form of Yin energy.

CONSTANTLY PLAY SOME MANTRA OR SUTRA in your house. You can do this by buying some CD or altar paraphernalia that constantly play different kinds of mantra or sutras. You do this not to drive them away, although it may drive them away, but more importantly to help them get the benefit of the mantra.

People watching the Chinese Opera. Notice the empty front chairs, they’re reserved for the Hungry Ghosts.

PLAY THE CHINESE OPERA on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Festival. In the olden time, Chinese Opera are played by actors on the street to an ‘empty’ audience. This is because it is believed that the Opera will distract the Hungry Ghosts and not wreak havoc. Nowadays, living people also watch these operas, but they usually leave the first one or two rows empty, because they’re reserved for the Hungry Ghosts.

Of course, it’s not practical for you to play the opera, what some people do is put a TV set or a radio and just leave it on to a ‘happy’ program. It is said that this will distract the hungry ghosts and make them believe that there are real people and therefore they won’t enter your house. The energy that you’re emitting by playing the radio or TV is also a yang energy that attracts them.
