Nobody is Bigger than the Force of the World, But…

Published Enero 2, 2018 by jptan2012

Happy Happy New Year to Everyone!

It’s new year base on the Western Calendar, and Feng Shui experts / Feng Shui consultants have been appearing on TV, magazines, and on radio. I have listened to a few some are a legit, but some are totally bogus. First thing first, the year of the earth dog doesn’t come in until Feb. 16, 2018.

Also heard a Feng Shui consultant on radio suggesting several cures. When asked by the anchor what will happen if the person doesn’t have any money to buy the cures, the Feng Shui consultant then that person should prepare for a troubled life because “nobody is bigger than the force of the world” he said in Filipino.

True! I totally agree with him. Nobody is bigger than the force of the world but our faith in a higher being should be bigger than our fears because it is definitely bigger than the force of the world.

What am I saying here?

You all know that I’m strong advocate of cures and/or amulets, especially Buddhist amulets that are highly consecrated! However, the truth is some of these are limited and most often than not because of the process of making them and also because of the things that goes into the amulets, they become quite pricey and one need to fully own the amulets before it really works, this is done in several ways but these days it is mostly done thru an exchange of energies via a stipulated monetary donation. The money covers for the cost of making the amulets, transport, and a donation for building temples and/or feeding the monks. To understand this better, you can read my post called – THE EVOLUTION OF ACQUIRING AN AMULET!

And so, because of these factors, some people might not be able to afford powerful amulets. Does that mean they’re hopeless and should prepare for a troubled year ahead as this Feng Shui consultant is saying? Of course, not, in this blog, I have talked about, several times, what I call the “amulet from within”.

What is the amulet from within? This is our genuine compassion, genuine kindness, genuine love, genuine goodness of our heart. The key word is genuine, meaning it should be real and true. If we have these things, it should also serve as some sort of an amulet. The compassion, kindness, love, goodness here should go beyond our family and friends, it is much broader than the love for family and friends, much purer.

On top of that, we should realize that our faith in a higher being be it Buddha, Allah, Shiva or Jesus Christ, should be bigger than our fears because they are definitely bigger than the force of the world.

Real faith and not pride because of the false humility that one is favored by the higher beings is the key.

While it is true that cures and amulets makes things easier, because they serve as an extension of positive chi, it doesn’t mean without them we are doomed. Because Fate lead by Faith is a path to bliss.

Be Receptive to Celestial Messages: Omens of Bad Luck

Published Hunyo 2, 2012 by jptan2012

Yesterday, I talked about the different celestial messages that indicate good luck. Now if the universe gives us messages to inform us of possible good luck, they also sent messages to us to indicate possible bad luck that may come our way. Some of the most common bad luck omens are the following…

A light that flickers ‘on and off’ is usually a sign that something bad may happen. We often see these in films but unlike most things portrayed in the film, there’s a lot of truth here. In the olden times these usually happens with candles and/or lamps and may still happen in your altar lights, but any other ordinary household lights that flickers is also an indication of a bad luck.

A dish breaks while you’re using it is also a great indication of a bad omen.

While on the road and thinking of a project and you encounter a roadblock, this usually means that there’s going to be a problem or a delay. I personally experienced this omen. One time I was trying to collect from a client who usually pays on time. I was in the car when I called up the person-in-charge and while talking to her I encountered a roadblock, I knew then that there’s going to be a problem in the payment. True enough because of a new policy of their office, there’s going to be a delay in the payment, and it took another two months before they were able to pay me. The road block may come as a real physical road block or you may be browsing a magazine/newspaper or surfing the net while thinking or discussing the matter with somebody and you encounter a picture of a road block. That would be an omen already.

A bursting pipe usually indicates bad luck for the whole family.

Coming across a fallen tree that blocks your way is an indication of a bad luck also. A fallen tree blocked a friend who was on his way to a meeting, which is held at the construction site of his housing project. He was with his mom at that time, which he was dropping off at the grocery. His mom told him to just cancel the meeting because the fallen tree gave her an uneasy feeling, however, he said he’s not superstitious and needs to proceed to the meeting. When he got to the meeting, he had an accident and was bedridden for about a month. Not all bad lucks are as obvious as this; sometimes it can happen in other ways, like losing a contract or a project, or losing some money.

I wrote before that encountering a funeral is actually not a sign of bad luck, however, if you happen to see an accident that involves a dying or a dead person it usually means something bad is also about to come your way.

Also, yesterday I wrote about coming across a person who carries religious items usually indicates good luck. But if the said person were carrying a cross then that would mean that you would soon have to carry a burden.

Lastly, and not to put a stigma on disabled person, but on your way to a big meeting or a project and you encounter a severely disabled person who is not on a wheelchair would usually mean that the project is going to be problematic.

These are just some of the possible omens, you might encounter some other omens or celestial message, and we do encounter them everyday, you just need to be more conscious about the fact that everyday the universe tries to communicate with us.

Be Receptive to Celestial Messages: Omens of Good Luck

Published Mayo 31, 2012 by jptan2012

I always believe that before anything happens we always receive omens or signs that’s something is about to happen. Previously, I’ve written about a post wherein I shared some signs that indicated that my father’s travel luck is quite bad, because we were not as receptive as we need to be, the said signs were ignored and as a result my father had an aneurysm and died in China.

Today, I try to pay close attention to the different signs and omens we receive every day. I still need to improve a lot on my ‘receptiveness’, because there are times that I still miss out on some important omens that either serves as a warning or bringer of good news.

Before I share some of the most common good omens, I first would like to share what are omens. I believe that omens are celestial messages, meaning these are messages from the celestial world or the universe or the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Deities, Immortals, etc. to communicate with us what may happen. There are a lot of possible omens but for now allow me to share some of the most common omens.

In the morning, if I hear birds singing or chirping, it’s an indication that my day is going to be good.  This is more so if I have a big event or something important going on that day. Other than chirping birds, if I see a bird outside of my window I also take it, as an indication that the day will either be good or that there’s good news coming my way.

Generally speaking, if chirping birds wakes you up or if you see a bird outside your room it’s an indication that there’ll be good news.

If while thinking of a problem that you’re going through you suddenly meet a pregnant woman who for without reason smiles to you, or if she’s well dressed and wears nice big jewelries, this would mean that you’re problem is going to be alright and there’s no need for you to worry.

A group of happy children, or bumping into a religious celebration such as a ‘fiesta’, or if you come across a person carrying religious items/symbols/images (except for a cross) it usually means that something good is on your way.

If you or somebody in the family or somebody you love is sick, and one of the first thing that you see white flowers seven times in the first 3 hours after you wake up it usually means that whoever is sick is going to get well. The seven white flowers may be real flowers or images in the TV or magazine or newspaper, however, please note that if you have existing images of white flower in your house or offices they don’t count as part of the seven. The white flower may come as one piece or a bunch of white flowers, but you need to see it 7 different times.

Butterflies are also bringer of good news. Bees are an indication of good news also, although this would also indicate that the good news might come in a ‘bad packaging’ or blessing in disguise sort of good news.

In countries that has a lot of Buddhist monk this doesn’t count much, but for non-Buddhist countries like the Philippines, bumping into or coming across a Buddhist monk or nun is also generally a sign of good news.

Feng Shui is Personal

Published Marso 2, 2012 by jptan2012

The past few days I got several emails from readers of this blog and calls from my friends asking whether I’ve seen the jade pendant of Kris Aquino. I suppose Google search on Kris Aquino’s Jade Pendant went up also because of this interest about what she’s wearing.

I’ve seen the pendant that she’s been wearing, and yes it’s nice. Judging from the look of it it’s a jadeite and not a nephrite. Can’t really tell unless I see it in person and able to touch it. I’m also thinking that people are asking because they want to buy such a pendant for themselves. If you’re looking for it as a ornamental jewelry, I guess, that’s perfectly fine, but, if you’re looking for it as a Feng Shui jewelry allow me to say that what works for her may not work for you.

Why? Simple. Feng Shui is personal.

While there are some basic Feng Shui guidelines that we can all follow, the real essence of Feng Shui is personal. What works for a friend may not work for you. For Feng Shui to be truly effective one has to look at the following:

Kua Number. A Kua number, which is computed base on your birth date determines your lucky and unlucky directions, this also defines your health sector. While people with the same Kua number will have the same lucky and unlucky directions, you should note that there are 9 Kua numbers, meaning there are nine possible combinations.

Astrological Weight. Again your astrological weight is computed base on your birth date. This basically defines on what kind of life one has or will have. Base on your astrological birth weight one can advice a possible Feng Shui charm that one will need for the rest of their life.

BAZI Chart. The Bazi is also called Paht Chee, 8 Characters, and 4 Pillars. Bazi, Paht Chee, and Eight Characters basically mean the same thing; it’s just said in different languages, namely and respectively in Mandarin, Hong Kong Chinese, and English. In fact, there are other terms for Bazi but they are all basically the same, and the ones mentioned here are the most common one. It is also called Four Pillars, because when writing down the Bazi you create four different pillars that help define who you are and your life luck, from this we then get the Life Luck Cycle Pillar. The Bazi is also computed through your birth date, and here we are able to look deeply as to what are your elements, your ruling element, your self-element, and what are the charms that you need. I once heard Chico Garcia of The Morning Rush of RX 93.1 saying that – I WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE A VERY BAD YEAR LAST YEAR, BUT EVERYTHING TURN OUT WELL. That is because I would assume that he got a ‘generic forecast’, meaning, he would have just read it on the news paper, magazine, or a Feng Shui web site selling a Feng Shui charm, or a Feng Shui annual forecast book.

I’m also guilty of writing down an annual forecast that is because I always believe that not all people will have access to or will be able to afford a Bazi reading. However, I always stress that the general annual forecast is just that – a general reading, in some ways it can be considered as a generic reading. I also avoided suggesting Feng Shui cures that may have an effect on the person base on their basket of elements.

The past couple of years showed a significant lack of the water element, and because of this a lot of the Feng Shui experts who sells Annual Feng Shui Forecast books and Feng Shui charms or cures recommended a Water Charm. While the said Water Charm may be useful for some people, it should be noted that there are people who can’t carry a Feng Shui charm because they may have a heavy weighting of the water element and ‘carrying’ more water will definitely be bad for them. In the same manner that they dispense of recommendations of the year’s lucky color, colors of clothes that we wear has a significant effect on our life because colors are representation of the five elements that governed the principle of Feng Shui – WATER, WOOD, FIRE, EARTH, METAL. So for 2012 Year of the Water Dragon’s Bazi indicates that there is a significance lack of fire element, you’ll hear people say that this year’s lucky color are – RED, ORANGE, PINK, VIOLET, PURPLE, because these are the colors that represent the fire element. Again, while this in general is correct, people who have a very high fire element in their Basket of Elements base on their Bazi chart will find themselves getting into more fight, being exhausted, or ‘burning’ of their luck if they follow the so called lucky colors of the year.Image

Going back to Kris Aquino’s jade pendant, if she’s wearing it as a Feng Shui charm then it might have been suggested by her Feng Shui consultant, however, buying the same pendant, which I presume is going to be pricey if its made of high quality jade, more so if it’s a nephrite jade, then furthermore expensive if somebody decides to market it as Kris Aquino’s Jade Pendant, will still not ensure that it will have the same beneficial effect on you.

Always remember that Feng Shui is personal. If you happen to see a Feng Shui expert who markets a Kris Aquino Jade Pendant without even looking at your Bazi chart, your alarm signal should go off. Asking for your year of birth is not enough. It has to be your full birth date and time, and she or he must show you your Bazi chart for her or him to really be able to give an intelligent advice on your Feng Shui for your life or for the year.

REMEMBER FENG SHUI IS PERSONAL.
