Do We Really Need Amulets? And Why Are REAL Amulets so Pricey?

Published Enero 31, 2017 by jptan2012

I’m a strong advocate of real amulets and a firm believer of one. In fact, a lot of times amulets has become my ‘security blanket’, something that I really need to be able to help me go through my day or week. In fact, last 2016 I greatly relied on amulets to protect myself from bad the effects of the bad stars.

But the question is whether do we really need amulets and why are real amulets so pricey?

Allow me to answer the first question first. Do we really need amulets?

To answer that question allows me to share you the story of somebody who may be familiar already to my readers. BM is a reader who became a friend. She is successful and regardless of what happens she seems always at peace. She may get frazzled a little but it doesn’t really last long. I have featured BM on this blog several times and it would be nice if you read some of the articles that I have written about her.

BM is successful, rich, businesswoman and sure enough she has the Vajrapani Ruel(1), the Surangama Mantra Amulet(1), the Illness Suppression Amulet(1), the Traditional Sutra Amulets(1) and a whole lot more. But truth be told, if you were to ask me what are the causes of her success, I wouldn’t put the use of amulets and Feng Shui as top.

So what do I think are the causes of her success?

First, her spirituality. I will not describe her as religious. At least, not in the sense of the word on how we describe it. She goes to church everyday, she hear mass everyday, she prays the rosary and do novenas everyday. In fact, she prays the rosary more than once everyday. And yes to some extent she can be described as religious, but she is really more than that. She is spiritual. Religion for her goes much more deeper that the essence of the word. And you know what is really fascinating about her? She never or seldom prays for herself. Her prayers are always for other people. With or without problems she goes to church and says her prayers, maybe even more so when everything is good. This is I think is the first ingredient of her success.

Second, she has a good heart and is very compassionate. She is compassionate; many times she has shared with me whether directly or indirectly how it is to be truly compassionate. And she really has a good heart. I know she gives to charity only because there are times that it is unavoidable for her to share it with me, which is done in the process of sharing with me some lessons. A truly compassionate person will always be blessed.

Third, she works really hard. She is intelligent, but more than that she works really hard. When I went to see her, one of her staff told me that her boss, BM, is really hardworking. In fact, she rarely goes home before sunset.

I think those are the main ingredients of her success. But more than her success she has a good family life also and I can see her husband is still ‘madly’ in love with her. I haven’t really had a long interaction with her children, but they seem to be respectful children. Mind you, they should already be in their rebellious stage.

The amulets for her are simply just an added protection or enhancer, and it is not the main ingredient of her good life. In a way, the amulets are simply an added sugar.

Note: Remember that Feng Shui consists of Heaven’s Luck, Man’s Luck and Earth’s Luck!

Allow me to share something else with you. The Buddhist monks or nuns rarely carry with them any amulets, aside from the powerful protective symbol Kalachakra. While I know that the Dalai Lama, and the Karmapa, while escaping the Chinese government did carry an amulet they seldom carry one all the time. The Dalai Lama carried an unknown amulet, and the Karmapa is said to have carried a Vajrapani Ruel(2) with him. But other than that, Buddhist monks and nuns don’t carry amulets with them, or if they do it is limited to one piece only. But, of course, most of them do meditations and chanting of mantras and reciting of sutras and do various rituals more than half of their day, everyday!

So to answer the question whether does we really need amulets, my response would be NO. It helps. It helps a lot. For some people and in some circumstances it may be essential, but if we get to the bottom of it, if we have a strong relationship with the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas, or Taoist Gods, or for Christians to your Lord, or for Islam’s to Allah then my answer is no. There is no denying that amulets like the Vajrapani Ruel(3) has helped a lot of people, but there are people who have survive without it. At the end of the day, have a strong faith, be truly compassionate, and work hard both for your career and for your relationships, and you’ll find things will be going smoothly.

Now, then the second question is why are real amulets really pricey?

First, take note of the keyword real. Real powerful amulets are seldom massed produce. Sure they can make more than 1,000 pieces per batch, it is seldom made out of a machine. They are always made by hand. A real amulet is made several days and will be mostly likely involves being made inside a temple, in front of Buddha or a Bodhisattva and should include some relics has part of the ingredient (like the Vajrapani Ruel4) or at the very least being consecrated in front of a relic. It is definitely made by a trained Buddhist Monk and cannot be made by ordinary practitioner. Sometimes, it will include some rituals outside the temple, but will definitely include a process being done inside the temple.

The Jatukam involves some rituals by the sea and mountains. And has a relic from the temple being included in the process. They make several thousand pieces by the batch and sometime take awhile before they can make the next batch. The Vajrapani Ruel(5) involves a relic of a high lama, and can never be made without it, so the last time it was made was a little more than half – a – century ago. This batch that we have now has about a little more than 1,000 pieces but it is considered limited because we don’t know when it is going to be made again. And it can only be made in certain places in Tibet.

The Illness Suppression Amulet(2), and the others are not as difficult to make, but still they are made or consecrated only by a lama that is recognized to have the capabilities of invoking the energies of the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas to make the amulet holy and become an extension of the Buddha or Bodhisattva whose essence is being invoked.

Furthermore, while making it is customary to offer a fruits, vegetables, flowers, incense, and oil lamps. So when acquiring an amulet, this is what you pay for. But that’s not what makes it pricey.

It is also customary to give a ‘donation’ to the monk who made it. But this is a misnomer because in truth the money doesn’t go to the one who made the amulet but rather it goes to the temple, for the building of additional temples or halls, for images of the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas or for feeding the monks.

In the case, of the Vajrapani Ruel(6), Illness Suppression Amulet(3), the Avatamsaka Amulets(1) the Traditional Sutra Amulets(2) and other amulets, the money goes to the offerings of fruits, incense, vegetables, flowers, oil lamps, etc. But more than that it goes to acquiring of the image of a Buddha or Bodhisattva that goes to a hall in a temple that is being built in India (for the Vajrapani Ruel(7) a big chunk of the money goes back to Tibet in helping the people there who are oppressed by the Chinese government) and it becomes a perpetual offering of the person who acquired the amulet.

These are the things that make a real amulet quite pricey.

But again strictly speaking the amulets are not for sale. To understand this better please read my post called: THE EVOLUTION OF ACQUIRING AN AMULET.

Forecasted Financial Situation Is Already Happening and Some Suggestions On How To Deal With It!

Published Nobyembre 28, 2016 by jptan2012

Late last year when I wrote about my analysis of the Bazi Chart or Paht Chee Chart of 2016 Year of the Fire Monkey, one of the things I wrote is the big possibility of a financial crisis. In that particular article, what will precipitate the said crisis will happen either the first part or the middle part of the year, but that the crisis will start to happen either middle of the year or last part of the year. Last June, US$ 1.00 is approximately around Php 44.00, and now it is (as of writing) Php 49.95, the highest is more than 8 years, and the first time to steadily jump up after more than 10 years. In another post, which I have decided will not be shared again; I also insinuated the cost of this financial crisis, at least, for our country.

If you look at the trend, US $ to Php should have started going down already because of the OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker)remittances, but on the third week of November it still continues to rise. Hopefully, it will still go down on December given that the OFW remittances are coming in, but even if goes down, it seems that it will jump up again coming January. I’m sharing this because we all need to get ready for this. I haven’t checked the bazi chart for the year 2017, and will do so soon and share with you my analysis as soon as possible.

Having said that, I will like to clarify that this is not a political post, and so I refrain from making assumptions as to what is causing the continues decline of the Philippine peso, but this I will say while the middle class to upper class are not yet feeling the effect of this financial crisis, we should not be blind to the ones on the lower income bracket who has taken a hit already.

In the past 3 months, I came across two former VIP bodyguards who is now an Uber driver or applying to be a driver. Their concern is that a lot of foreign investors have left the country or have downsized, and of course, not so many foreign VIPs are in need of bodyguard. Another reader also emailed me. Her son apparently works as a call center agent, but several smaller call center agencies have close shop, they are smaller but each one still have about 300 call center agents, not to mention janitors, guards, and non – call canter agent employees.

I’m sharing this because it is important that each one of us prepare for this financial crisis, if indeed it will become a full-blown crisis and I’m not saying it will. Although, I forecasted it, like the Yolanda forecast, the Nepal earthquake forecast, this is something that I’m not proud of nor I’m happy that my forecast has been vindicated.

I’m sure each one of us can do something. We can start of by supporting the good that our government is doing but we should also rally against the things that we perceived are wrong. When I say rally, I mean we should let our voices be heard in a non – violent and non – confrontational manner. Let’s email the government, let’s share our thoughts, and let us be the change, the improvement that we so desire to see.

And of course, do not forget the power of prayers, of going to church or temple, of lighting candles and incense and dedicating its merits for the financial improvement of the country, let us chant -a – mantra or recite – a sutra.

On a personal level, we should start protecting ourselves. Save up, invest properly, carry a powerful amulet like the Vajrapani Ruel or now the traditional sutra amulet like THE DIAMOND SUTRA and / or THE SUTRA ON THE PAST VOWS OF EARTH STORE BODHISATTVA, these amulets doesn’t become available now for no reason, they always become available at the right time.

Is There A Feng Shui Relevance to All Souls Day?

Published Oktubre 31, 2016 by jptan2012

Ire, Loves Well, obviously the Chinese ‘All Souls Day’ or day of remembering the dead doesn’t happen in November 1, or to be more accurate about it on November 2. All Saints Day / All Souls Day is a big deal for a lot of Filipinos and perhaps Catholics in the world. But is there is Feng Shui significance or relevance to this special day?

For Chinese, especially those who are in the older generation, it is very important that we remember our ancestors or loved ones who passed away, this is taken as a sign of respect but at the same time, it is believed that we should not earn their ire by forgetting about them, or we should earn their approval so that they can help shower blessing upon the living. This is why remembering our loved ones or dead ancestors are important part of the life of a Chinese. In fact, a lot of us have images of our ancestors in our home, where we light incense and offer food on special occasions. The older generation will offer incense everyday. This may be a little too excessive.

In Buddhism, according to the Medicine Buddha Sutra, when a person dies his or her consciousness will undergo rebirth within 7 days or 21 days or 35 days or 49 days. I will clarify that it will go through rebirth on the first day, it will have to wait for 7 days, then if you didn’t go through rebirth on the 7th day then on the 21st day if not then it will be 35th day, until 49th day. If you don’t go through rebirth in the first 5 stipulated days, then you will sure go rebirth on the 49th day.

But rebirth doesn’t necessarily mean rebirth here on earth as human.

There are different levels of possible rebirth and starting from the bottom they are the following:

  1. Hell
  2. Hungry Ghost
  3. Animal Kingdom
  4. Human
  5. Asura
  6. Heavenly Beings
  7. Arhat
  8. Pratyekabuddha
  9. Bodhisattva
  10. Buddhahood

The first six are considered as the lower realms wherein the being still has an attachment and the last four are considered as the upper realm wherein the being or our consciousness no longer has any attachment. Once one is born in the upper realm, his or her consciousness no longer goes back to any of the lower realm.

It should be noted that for Catholics or Christianity, heaven is the ultimate goal, for Buddhism is a better place than the first five but it is still a place where in desire and attachment exist and one can still go down to the other realms. It is also not the most desired realm. I will talk about the 10 realms further in a future post.

I will also discuss the difference between Hungry Ghost and the Hell in another post.

But for now what I want to show is that for Buddhism, one can be born in different realms, until we reach Buddhahood.

So when a person dies, his consciousness or soul as Christians would call it will be born again in one of these realms. As humans 98% we will be born in either the realm of Hell or Hungry Ghost or Animal Kingdom or Human (again). If we have been good we might be born in the realm of an Asura or a Heavenly Beings.

This is where remembering and offering ‘good merits’ to our departed love ones or ancestors will become important. For example, your loved one or ancestor was born in the realm of the Hell or Animal Kingdom or Hungry Ghost, by offering good merits to them such as praying for them or chanting mantras or reciting sutras for them will shortened their suffering in the lower realms of Hell or Hungry Ghost or Animal Kingdom. On the other hand, if they were born in the realm of Human, by offering good merits to them their life will be better. If their current life is bad it will become better, if it is already good it will become even better. And if they were born as an Asura or Heavenly Beings then their life will even become better or they maybe pushed up to being born as Arhat or a Pratyekabuddha.

But this is the thing. Days like ‘All Souls Day’ are important because it forced us to remember them on these days. However, it certainly doesn’t mean that we should only remember them on this day. In fact, it is very important that we offer prayers or mantras or sutras or incense to them everyday. And by remembering them and offering merits to them everyday, we in turn make our life better. Because we are interconnected with each other. They may have a totally different life now but because of affinity with each other we are somewhat linked to each other. And if we send them merits, in a way we also get our own merits.

How Fast Does An Amulet Work?

Published Oktubre 18, 2016 by jptan2012

One of the most common question people ask me is – HOW FAST DOES AN AMULET WORK?

In Buddhism, he standard belief is that it takes 3 months to 7 months before you start to feel something that is brought about by the amulet. However, it is not totally alien for Buddhist to sometimes feel something already even before they physically get an amulet, simply the thought of acquiring an amulet and making a move to acquire it, like sending a donation, sometimes already signifies the start of your ‘relationship’ o affinity with the amulet. Furthermore, if for example a love one acquired an amulet for the purpose of giving it to somebody, sometimes the one who will receive it can already feel some changes brought about by the amulet. This is what happened to one of my readers, Cecile.

Cecile, intends to give an amulet to her sister so that she can patch things up with her mom, amongst other things, and Cecile believes that even before he sister received the Vajrapani Ruel, the miracle has already worked on them.

image23

TRANSLATION OF WHAT CECILE SAID:”Hi! Do you know just it was only earlier that I was able to give the Vajrapani to my Sister, but as early as yesterday she has patch things up with my mother. In fact, she even to Divisoria with her. Isn’t it great?! Even before she get it, the miracle has already happened to her. ” – The last part of her sms she talked about my article about ripped jeans, which she suspects is the cause of the lowering of her child’s grades. Then she talked about being vegan.

The Vajrapani Ruel itself enjoys some miracles that are quite instantaneous, so even if Buddhist beliefs states that it should be about 3 months to 7 months, sometimes it can be so much faster than that, and it’s totally possible as proved by some of the personal testimonies found on this blog.

But what are the factors that makes it work faster than others?

Well, there are several factors. Belief plays a role in it, but as you can see in the post entitled – Vajrapani Ruel Stories (25): Illegal Detention and Murder Cases Against An Underdog Politician Dropped (How The Vajrapani Ruel Saved A Person Without Him Knowing)– the one who was actually helped didn’t even know that he has the Vajrapani Ruel. The Karma plays an important role also. For example, some people are bound to have a specific luck, and acquiring a powerful amulet makes it faster. Still about Karma sometimes a powerful amulet takes awhile to work because it still needs to cleanse some negative karma that serves as an hindrance to the luck that one is aspiring for. Sometimes, additional or support energies help to make things faster, such as chanting of mantras, lighting of incense or candles, etc., or even good wishes from friends or loved ones.

For the Vajrapani Ruel, I notice that going Vegetarian, especially Vegan, makes it work faster.

At the end of the day, our attitude towards the amulet contributes to the efficacy of the amulet. Note, I stated that our attitude contributes but I would like to make it clear that it’s not the determining factor because an amulet will work or not whether we believe in it or not. Especially if its a powerful amulet.

Use Ruby As An Amulet to Ward Off Negative Energies!

Published Setyembre 12, 2016 by jptan2012

It’s been since awhile since I posted something. I was really busy the past few weeks and barely had time to write. I usually have ‘bank’ stories good up to 2 – 3 weeks, but all that was used up because of the tremendous amount of work I have to deal with.

Anyway, I’m glad that I’m able to write again. Although, the time of writing is usually not the day of posting these stories. Also I usually write several first before I post.

ruby-cabuchon

In choosing a ruby make sure it’s gem quality but it need not be high grade. High grade gem quality ruby are quite expensive.

But I’m going off track. Today, I would like to teach you on how to make a gemstone, in particular a ruby into an amulet that you can use to ward of negative energies, especially evil spirits and sorcery.

All you will need is a gem quality ruby. Have it set in gold or silver as pendant or as ring. If being set as ring make sure you can wear it on your ring finger or on your pinky. Make sure also that the ‘back’ side of the ruby is not covered, whether it is set as a ring or as a pendant.ruby-cabuchon2

Once set, properly clean it and then light an incense. If you have a Buddhist altar do it in front of a Buddhist altar, if not just do make shift altar, and have it face a clean wall.

Light nine incense sticks and call the following: NAMO AMITOFO 3X.

Then place the incense sticks on an incense holder or a bowl with salt or rice grains.

Then chant OM AH HUM 108X after which you blow on the ruby. This process will clean the ruby of all the negative energies.

Then chant OM AMI DEWA HRIH 1000x then blow on the ruby. While chanting put the ruby on the altar.

After chanting OM AMI DEWA HRIH. Place the ruby pendant or ring on the altar and leave it there.

Do the process for 7 days. After seven days, use a fine needle or a fine – point pen and inscribed on the ruby the Sanskrit OM AH HUM. Please see photo below.

Note that the ruby is a hard precious stone, so it is impossible to leave a mark. What you are doing rather and psychically imprinting the Sanskrit into the auric field of the ruby.

After that you can start wearing your ruby. Note that you will have to clean your ruby every month. You can do this simply by putting it on top of a rock salt / sea salt / Pink Himalayan salt for 7 hours to overnight. Then repeat the process of lighting the incense but this time doing it only once a month.

Note that this is a powerful amulet using the power of Amitabha Buddha and having it captured by the ruby. Buddha Amitabha’s color is red that is why ruby is the perfect stone for it. But remember use the gem quality one. If you can get a ruby shaped into an image of Amitabha the better it is.

So does this thing work? I’m sure.

I first suggested this to a reader who has been experiencing such a terrible bad luck due to some negative energies and it worked for her. However, I think, its real power was manifested when a relative of one of my staff is believed to have been suffering from some sort of witchcraft.

EY, is a 40 something widow. Her husband and her mother – in – law was involved in a car accident and both died at the same day. Philippine law states, whether there is a will or not, a child will definitely inherit an inheritance from his/her parents. In this case, EY’s husband, upon the death of his mom will inherit one of her properties. The mom left no will, and it is believe that they both died about the same time. In this case, since EY’s husband also passed away, his inheritance will then be inherited by his son and his wife. However, 3 of 5 siblings of EY’s husband contested the inheritance and said that their brother might have died ahead of their mom, therefore EY and her son should not inherit anything. EY contested this because obviously their argument was flawed. The case went to court, and that’s when she started having nightmares, seeing a black entity visiting her. Soon after that she started getting sick and having some skin rashes. Some might argue that it is due to stress brought about by the case against some of her in – laws that’s causing all this. That is certainly an argument, and that’s what I thought so too, but EY said that she and her son are already secured and they just want the inheritance as a matter of principle because her son deserves to get it. Add to that, her doctors seem unable to find an accurate diagnosis of what’s causing her illness.

On top of that, her husband’s other sister warned EY that the other siblings might do something nasty, and she firmly believes that one of her sister is involve in witchcraft as she boasted a number of time that she knows a powerful witch. Furthermore, even before it became known that EY was suffering from an unknown skin disease, this particular sister who would boast that she knows a powerful witch called up the other sister who is still friendly with EY and asked her whether EY is getting sick, and that if she gets sick it would do well if she just give up the inheritance so that she will get well.

When I heard the story, and after assessing that EY seems to be a very logical person, I decided to teach her the Ruby Amulet ritual. This was before the Vajrapani Ruel became available. EY made her own Ruby Amulet following my instruction, and within a month, all her illness was gone! Furthermore, she dreamt that the black entity also left her!

After a year, she and her son also got their inheritance!

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

There is a simple rule in lighting incense as an offering for the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas. Treat the incense as something for the Buddha or Bodhisattva, so do not smell its fragrance. When holding it, and incense has a wooden stick at the bottom, then do not hold or touch the incense, simple hold the wooden part.

Never ever offer incense that has fallen off the floor.

Following these simple rules will show your respect to the Buddha or Bodhisattva and it will increase the merit of the act.

What To Do When You Have No Other Choice But to Face Your Bad Direction?

Published Mayo 4, 2016 by jptan2012

All of us have our own four lucky directions and four unlucky directions base on our Kua number, which in turn is base on our birth date. If you are not yet familiar with this I suggest you read the following posts that were written 4 years ago:

It is important that you get to read them first before you read this post for you to understand this article better.

Now the ideal situation is you totally avoid having your house or office face any of your bad directions, or facing your bad direction while working or sleeping. However, in reality we can’t always avoid these directions. If you are a couple, always take note that the head of the family should always face the good directions. But whether you are a couple or single person and you can’t avoid facing your bad directions, please do the following to help temper the effects of the bad direction.

  1. Make a weekly offering to the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas or Taoist Gods. In making an offering of incense, flowers, water, or even food you create a lot of good merit or energy of yourself. This will help temper the bad effects of having to face your bad directions.
  2. Wear a powerful amulet and highly recommend the Vajrapani Ruel and/or the Surangama Mantra Amulet. Wearing a powerful amulet will help protect you from the negative effects of having to face your bad directions.
  3. Do good deeds and do them sincerely. Feed the animals; donate to the charity, etc. Sincerely doing good deeds will help temper the negative effects of having to face your bad directions.

Remember though, it is better if you avoid your bad directions. These cures are temporary or at best they just temper the bad effects.
