Top 10 Things to do if Your House is Haunted!

Published Agosto 8, 2018 by jptan2012

I strongly believe that there are houses that are haunted. I personally have encountered several such house. And as I said in a previous article, it is not really the haunting like seeing ghosts, light turning on and off by themselves, or moving objects and curious sounds that’s the scariest. It is how these negative chi affects us that’s scarier.

Aside from the physical hauntings, it is how they affect our thinking, mood, personality, and luck that is scarier that the actual haunting. Or in some rare cases, how they try to possess some people.

So, what are the things you need to do if you believe your house or office is haunted.

  1. First, do not try to banish them on your own. If not done properly they will become stronger or will get angry. You might also start to attract more negative chi.
  2. Light some incense as a peace offering so that you can live in harmony. But do not be submissive to them.
  3. Ignore them, attention gives them energy. Fear gives them energy.
  4. Put an image of a Chung Kwei (made of black tourmaline/black jade/onyx/gold) in your house.

    Chung Kwei Black Jade

This is a rare black jade pendant image of Chung Kwei. Was fortunate enough to find one in Beijing, China in a small shop. Remember in choosing a Chong Kwei or Chung Kwei or Zhung Kwei or Zhong Kwei, always get a something that’s made of a black stone or gold. Otherwise, it might not be very effective.

  5. Put a Vajrapani Ruel or Surangama Mantra Amulet or both inside your house.
  6. If there’s a baby or an elderly make sure they carry with them one or two (depending on the strength of the spirit) of the following with them all the time: gold Kalachakra pendant, Vajrapani Ruel, Surangama Mantra Amulet, Special Gold Piyao.
  7. If you suspect somebody is being possessed or is being psychologically or emotionally manipulated or influenced by the spirits let them wear 2 or 3 of the following: VAJRAPANI RUEL, SURANGAMA MANTRA AMULET, SPECIAL GOLD PIYAO, GOLD KALACHAKRA PENDANT, GOLD OR HOLY JADE PENDANT IMAGE OF BODHISATTVA SANGHARAMA (also known as Qie Lan Pu Sa, Kuan Kong, Guan Gong, Guan Yu, Kuan Yu, Guan Te Yah, Kuan Te Yah), GOLD or BLACK TOURMALINE or BLACK JADE or ONYX or BLACK OBSIDIAN PENDANT IMAGE OF CHUNG KWEI. Please note that some stores will say that an image of a Chung Kwei is real obsidian or onyx or tourmaline, but real ones will definitely not cost you below US$150.00.

    Kuan Kong Pendant2

Kuan Kong also spelled as Guan Gong is a warrior god. He is a very good protector and wealth god.

  8. Always make sure that you put on bright lights.
  9. Play happy music, make sure there is always yang energy but do not be noisy.
  10. Try to have somebody perform a puja for the spirits.

Understanding the Power of Jade – Powerful Holy Jade Items for Wealth, Health, Harmony and Protection!

Published Hunyo 13, 2018 by jptan2012

jade-zoom-1I have been receiving a lot of messages encouraging me to continue this blog. However, it is already a “done deal” that this blog will end once it reaches the 1000th post. This is also the reason why my most recent articles focus more on empowering you to do your own Feng Shui and to understanding what needs to be done in case there is a Feng Shui blunder.

Some people are also asking about getting amulets after I have ended this blog. Well, it is possible that amulets will find their way to you if you are ready for it. However, you have to understand that sometimes you need to be able to understand when that time has come, sometimes an amulet that comes your way now because you need it will not present itself again in the future should you decide to let go of that opportunity.

Speaking of amulets, today’s article is about some special amulets. I think this is something being made available to us by Guru Lama because of the pending ending of this blog.

Those who have been with me in this journey of Feng Shui blogging right when it started will know that one of the most powerful natural Feng Shui tool from nature aside from the metal gold is the power of gemstones. For the Chinese, the foremost of all these gemstones is the jade.

I have written about the power of jade. In fact, the Piyao (also called or spelled as Pi Yao, Pixie, Pi Xie, Pi Xiu, or Pixiu) is only truly effective when it is made of gold or jade. Needless to say, real jade because there are so many fake jades in the market. It is not an exaggeration when I say that most jade Piyaos in the market now are made of fake jade. Of course, the most powerful ones are those that are blessed by a high lama or monk, and are made of empowered gold like the SPECIAL GOLD PIYAO or empowered jades. They are empowered thru mantras, sutras, and/or pujas performed by Bhiksus or Bhiksunis or high lamas.

Piyao5

It also has fierce but still friendly face, this indicates that while you can be fierce in business or work, you will still gain the support and admiration of the people around you. This also means that you can you charm to get to your wealth luck.

HISTORICAL POWERFUL MYSTICAL USES OF JADE

Let me go back to the power of jade.

Contrary to popular belief that a jade is a Chinese stone, jade is actually used in various cultures and nations and Ancient Civilization or Ancient Societies, but I think it was given it highest regard by the Chinese. But history shows that jade is revered by a lot of cultures. Not to mention jade is also found in different countries like Mexico, India, Canada, New Zealand, and a lot more. However, they jade experts believes that superior jade is found in China, Russia, and Myanmar, formerly known as Burma.

These countries who also had the jade believes in the power of the jade.

In fact, the ancient Mexicans has very high regard for the jade. Like the Chinese they make that jade is use in the carving of their gods. In fact, Kukulcan and Quetzalcoatl, the supreme gods of the ancient Mexicans are traditionally depicted with jade in their eyes and navel. They believe that if jade is not used in their eyes and their navel the images are just plain simple images and will not be able to channel the energies of the said god.

It was also a custom of the Mayans to place small pieces of jade in the mouth of their ruler the Jaguar Bird at his death. It is said that the jade will act as the receptacle of the dead ruler’s spirit. The Mayans also associate the jade with water (money), vegetation (wealth), the sky (heavenly blessings), life (chi or energy), renewal and rebirth. You will notice that this is very similar to the Chinese. If you remember a previous article, it is customary for the Chinese to put a jade cicada in the mouth of a person who has just died to ensure good rebirth.

The belief of putting a jade in the mouth of the dead was shared by other ancient cultures. Some of you might find it surprising the jade was found in the tombs or even in the pyramids of Egyptian rulers. They were place at the heart of the Egyptian ruler. No definite study was made to understand why use jade as representative of the heart, that we can only surmise that they believe that jade is the stone that can aid good rebirth and capture the good essence of the heart of a person as the Chinese belief states.

Furthermore, in Mesoamerica, a jade is considered so precious and powerful that people of the “lower” class bracket are not allowed to own a jade. Because they believe that this will make the person powerful. A person of the “lower” social class bracket was found to have a jade, no matter how small, they would be immediately executed. Many books have written about this, but none has written about it as extensively as Peterson Fredrick wrote in his book “Ancient Mexico: Introduction to the Pre-Hispanic Cultures.”

According to Peterson Fredrick, the Aztecs has a law for a “man of low quality” to own a jade, because the stone was reserved for high priests and nobility. It is also considered as one of the most important offering, still much like what Chinese Buddhists do in offering jades and gold these days. That jade is used as a special sacred offering is fully evident in Cenoté and Chichen Itzá.

In the ancient Southwest Pacific, they believe that when you give a jade to a person, you also give a part of your soul. Thus, it is only given to a loved one or parent to child or vice versa.

CHINESE BUDDHIST AND TAOISTS CONTINUE TO USE JADE FOR ITS POWERFUL MYSTICAL PROPERTIES

But as mentioned, nobody has used jade and revered it as much as the Chinese does. Chinese Buddhist and/or Taoists believes that an image of a Buddha, or Bodhisattva, or deity or god made of jade is superior to other images. Contemporary Buddhist monks try to downplay this belief because they don’t want people to have a misplaced belief that non – jade images are worthless, but to this day a lot of Buddhist monks believes this to be the case.

From ancient times to this day, the Chinese believes that everyone should own at least one jade. The stone will serve to protect you, bless you with wealth and health. I for one owns several pieces of jade, including a very rare piece of Chung Kwei black jade. My black jade is only one of the two black jades in the country. On top of owning a black jade, every single member of the family has at least one small piece of jade. The younger generation are all gifted with a jade, but of course, my generation and the older generation all have several pieces. I have mentioned several times in this blog my jade Kuan Yin pendant and several pieces of Piyao jade, I still wear this jade everyday even though I already have the very powerful SPECIAL GOLD PIYAO. On top of that I also have a jade ring set in gold. Sharing all these not to brag about my jade collection, but to show how much value and belief I have in a jade. In fact, Lillian Too, who perhaps is the world’s most famous Feng Shui writer has repeatedly mentioned and given credit to her jade bangle for her success and wealth.

But more than success and wealth, a jade is also a very good protection stone. I remember, when we were still young, my sister had an accident in school. She feels from the stairs, she was not hurt, even though the stairs were made of hard stone. Her jade bangle broke into two though.

I can go on and on and on about how powerful a jade is. In fact, one can write a book simply talking about its mystical properties and wonderful stories from people who experienced these energies. But one of the most powerful way to know this is simply by experiencing the power of a jade. Regular readers of this blog know that I always say that each and every person should at least own one piece of jade.

GETTING TO KNOW THE GEMSTONE JADE

Now another misconception about jade is that it is always green. That’s not true. There are brown jade, yellow jade, white jade, pink jade, purple or violet jade, orange jade, red jade, and as mentioned the rare black jade. But of course, the most common one is a green jade. But even the green jade has various shade. There is the ice jade, which is a clear type or opaque type of a very light almost white jade, there is the natural green jade, there is the imperial jade, the ink jade, which a lot of scrupulous sellers will tell you is the much-coveted black jade but is not the same as that of the black jade.

NOTE: AN INK JADE WILL LOOK BLACK, UNTIL YOU FLASH SOME LIGHT AT THE BACK WHERE IT WILL SHOW IT’S TRUE GREEN COLOR. THE BLACK JADE IS NOT REALLY BLACK BUT GRAYISH WITH WHITE. SEE THE PHOTO OF MY BLACK CHUNG KWEI.

One point of concern is that it is quite difficult to distinguish a real jade from a fake jade, and also quite difficult to distinguish a low-grade jade to a high-grade jade unless you have developed the skill to see it. Some people will also say that aventurine is a jade, aventurine is aventurine and it is a not a jade. Chrysophrase and Dioptase are two other green stones that are very jade like but are more porous. A lot of sellers will tell you that these stones are high quality jade but if you have developed the eye for real jade, or if you got them and wear them you will soon notice that they are not real jade.

Jade actually only has two major varieties, and they are nephrite and jadeite. Of all the jade, other than the black jade, it’s the Burmese imperial jade.

POWERFUL HOLY JADE ITEMS FOR HEALTH, WEALTH, HARMONY AND PROTECTION

Those of you who live in China, Honking, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal, Myanmar, etc. Knows that it is customary for Buddhists who have been blessed or who are asking for a favor from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to donate gold such as rings, necklaces, or even gold bars or gold coins. Recently, some of these, after being empowered, were again made available to the public by way of the SPECIAL GOLD PIYAO. However, it has to be noted that it is also EQUALLY customary to donate jade and/or other gemstones. But more often than not jade is offered because a lot of Buddhists considers jade to be a superior jade as compared to emerald, ruby, and even diamonds. It is only the best first-class jades that are donated to the temple.

These jades and other gemstones are also put at the foot of an image of a Buddha or Bodhisattva where they receive strong positive chi from the chanting of mantras, reciting of sutras, and pujas performed by Bhiksus, Bhiksunis and/or high lamas like Guru Lama. These jades are then included in the images of the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas. However, Guru Lama’s temple has acquired so many of these jades, and people are still continuously donating high quality jade to the temple. So, Guru Lama thought of making these a FEW of these jades available to the public to help raise funds for food for novice monks, building temples, and for their charity work. By doing these the ones who will received these jades in exchange of stipulated amount for exchange of energies will also receive not just high-quality jade but also comes with the jade the energies from the pujas, chanting of mantras, and recitation of sutras.

These jades are going to be made available to the public so that they will be blessed. Some of these jades are gem quality and thus they will be made thru a ring with a mantra. It will come in different sizes so hopefully all those who are interested will find one that will fit them.

But more than that, there are 15 of almost century old jade ingot. You all know that an ingot is one of the most powerful symbol to welcome wealth, money or financial luck in Feng Shui. Made from either jade or gold it becomes more powerful. But if it comes from the temple who has been empowering it for almost a century it should be extremely magical. There are 15 of these holy jade ingots, but only 3 are being made available thru this blog. Having this holy jade ingot will definitely bring in a lot of wealth luck to a family or person where this ingot is. This is especially highly recommendable who have their own house and/or are moving to their own house/new house.

holy jade ingot 1

This HOLY JADE INGOT is a very powerful tool to bring in wealth luck. Specially good for those moving to a new house or already have their own home. This jade is roughly a century old jade. The actual size of this is about 3 inches in length. Approximately.  Apologies for the amateur photo. The monks who took the picture are not camera savvy.

On top of that, there 3 holy jade teapots. These holy jade teapots are about half – a – century old, and one will be made available thru this blog. For those who are familiar with Feng Shui will know that a teapot is also a powerful wealth symbol and harmony symbol. Those who are running a business and wish to close a deal can put rock salt in the holy jade teapot for 7 days, then put water in it and pour the water onto your head on the day of business transaction. This is also a powerful house cleansing tool. The process of which will be shared with the person who is lucky enough to get this.

holy jade teapot

This HOLY JADE TEAPOT is around half – a – century old. Just like the HOLY JADE INGOT, this is hand carved and hand polished. Very good wealth luck and financial luck enhancer and also good for powerful protection ritual. Also very good harmony Feng Shui tool. Apologies for the amateur photo. The monks who took the picture are not camera savvy.

This HOLY JADE TEAPOT is around half – a – century old. Just like the HOLY JADE INGOT, this is hand carved and hand polished. Very good wealth luck and financial luck enhancer and also good for powerful protection ritual. Also very good harmony Feng Shui tool. You can pool rock salt, sea salt, pink himlayan salt, or black lava salt inside. Apologies for the amateur photo. The monks who took the picture are not camera savvy.

Of course, there a few more jades, some are rings, or gem quality that can be made into a ring or pendant. There are different images also like the Cicada, Piyao, Happy Buddha. Naturally all these are empowered thru the pujas, chanting of mantras and recitation of sutras performed by Bhiksus, Bhiksunis and other high lamas like Guru Lama.

These are all very old pieces, and you can actually see some signs of age to this holy pieces. I think it’s really part of the charisma of these pieces. Imagine these pieces receiving all the energies from the pujas, mantras, and sutras for decades!!!!

The truth some of these jade have been made available to a small selected group of readers in the past. Either with exchange of energies of or as a gift.

But this time it will be made available to everybody.

However, please note that these are going to be on a first – come, first – served basis and are limited. Also, please note that not because you want it and has the means to send the monetary exchange of energies you will have it. Guru Lama will decide if you can have it base on your birthdate, this is especially true for the holy jade ingot and the holy jade teapot. For the others, Guru Lama will decide what you can have base on your birthdate or whether you’ll be allowed to have them.

To understand about the exchange of energies, please read the article called THE EVOLUTION OF ACQUIRING AN AMULET.

The Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet: An Introduction to a Very Powerful Wealth Amulet!

Published Agosto 30, 2017 by jptan2012

In my previous post I talked about the Four Heavenly Kings, which are actually Buddhist Gods. If you haven’t read that post, I suggest go and read it first for you to truly understand this post better. Read it by clicking here.

One of the most common concern of people in the past, in the present, and I presume in the future is financial stability. In Buddhism, money is not evil; in fact, one sign of a blessed life is having money. Nevertheless, what we do with the money is what determines evil or good, but that is a topic for another post.

After some discussion, Guru Lama has told me to write about The Four Heavenly Kings and today’s post so that people will know that in the midst of what seems like a worldwide phenomenon of financial problem or struggles, there is still something that we can do so that we don’t get pulled into the mud of financial struggle. In the Philippines, a lot of people are complaining about the continuous weakening of the Philippine peso, and while we can complain and complain, in reality we should all strive to work harder, pray harder, and gather our inner strength to fight this concern.

A famous Feng Shui expert has talked about King Vaisravana or Namtose (Namthose) already, and it is largely because of this also why Guru Lama has said that I should start writing about the Four Heavenly Kings and to write this post, to really put everything in the perspective that he felt it should be written. Note though that this is just how Guru Lama wants it put and that although we don’t know in detail what was said about King Vaisravana, I’m writing it in a way that Guru Lama thinks is the best way to explain it.

Note: The post about the Four Heavenly Kings and this post have both been reviewed first by Guru Lama prior to posting.

Guru Lama felt it is only proper to talk about the Four Heavenly Kings first to disabuse the notion that in Buddhism, our gods are all about money.

In the preceding post about the Four Heavenly Kings, I mentioned that King Vaisravana the head of all the Four Heavenly Gods is wealth god himself, and that he rules over all Yaksas (also spelled as Yaksha), and amongst these Yaksas are the Dzambhalas or the Five Dzambhalas (also spelled as Dzambala, Jambhala, Jambala, Zambala, Zambhala). In this blog, I have already talked about Yellow Dzambhala and White Dzambhala, but as instructed by Guru Lama, allow me to talk about all the 5 Jambhalas again.

First, what are the Jambhalas?

Jambhala (again also spelled as Dzambhala, Dzambala, Jambala, Zambhala, Zambala) is what we call the God of Wealth or Gods of Wealth of the Buddhist. They are known 5 Dzambhala, who are member of the Jewel Family of the Buddhist tradition. Some say that Dzambhalas are manifestations of Bodhisattvas and Buddhas in Yaksha form to help people have a better grasp of their worldly powers. Each Dzambhala has its own mantra to help eliminate poverty and create financial stability.

According to Gyalten Sogdzin Rinpoche Dzambhalas are products of a Bodhisattva’s tears that turn into a Yaksha to aid sentient being to have material and spiritual wealth as well as to help have attain financial stability.

Because in this world, there are all kinds of wrathful and negative emotions or bad spirits, and sometimes they will harm you and other sentient beings, Dzambhala must take on such a wrathful and powerful form to protect us from these harmful spirits and negative karma. Especially, Dzambhala helps us minimize or decrease all misfortunes and obstacles and helps us increase all good fortune and happiness.”

The Five Dzambhalas are Green Dzambhala, Yellow Dzambhala, White Dzambhala, Red Dzambhala, Blue or Black Dzambhala. In Buddhism and Feng Shui as well as Taoism Blue and Black are considered as the same color.

GREEN DZAMBHALAJambala green

  • Is the chief of the 5 Dzambhalas and is said to be the yaksha. He is usually depicted to be standing upon a corpse and holding a mongoose in his left hand and a Kapala (a skull cap) in his right hand. He is usually depicted carrying a jewel producing mongoose in his right hand and has a consort. When depicted as seated, he sits in a vajra position with a Dakini in front of him. His right foot is almost always above a snail and a lotus flower.
  • The mantra of Green Dzambhala is: OM KARMA DZAMBHALA AH SOHA

WHITE DZAMBHALAjambala white

  • Is a Dzambhala who removes suffering from poverty and sickness. He also purifies non – virtuous karmic obstacles, and van averts illness and disaster. White Dzambhala is said to have been born from the right eye of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (Also known or spelled as Chenrezig, Kannon, Quan Yin, Quan Shi Yin, Guan Shi Yin, Guan Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Kuan Yin), which is also known as the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
  • White Jambhala sits on a snow lion or dragon, and is holding a mongoose in his left hand. The mongoose is said to spit out diamond and other precious items. He also holds a Wealth Banner in his left arm, some Buddhist traditions claims that it is a Victory Banner that he holds. In his right arm is a gold sword.
  • The mantra of White Dzambhala is: OM PADMO KRODA ARYA JAMBALA HRIH DAYA HUM PHAT

YELLOW DZAMBHALAjambala yellow

  • Perhaps the most famous or known Dzambhala of all Dzambhalas. It is said that he is the most powerful of all the Wealth Gods. Yellow Dzambhala can increase good virtues, life span and wisdom. He can also remove poverty with the six realms.
  • A lot of you are familiar with Yellow Dzambhala so I won’t really go into detail about him.
  • The mantra of Yellow Jambhala is: OM DZAMBHALA DZALIN DRAYE SOHA

RED DZAMBHALAjambala red

  • Uniquely, Red Jambhala is the only Dzambhala constantly depicted as practicing with his consort, which is the heavenly mother of wealth that is in – charge of the wealth in the human realm. According to Guru Lama in the olden days, Red Dzambhala is only introduced to the Kings and Emperors, or people with authority or position of power, because the power was then deemed to be only suitable for them for it could attract not only wealth but also fame. It is said that chanting the mantra of Red Dzambhala wealth, fame but it will also gather support of the people. Furthermore, the mantra of Red Jambhala can also attract marital bliss and harmony within the family.
  • The mantra of Red Dzambhala is: OM DZAMBHAL DZALIN DRAYE DHANAM MEDIHI HRIH DAKINI DZAMBHLA SAMBHARA SOHA

BLUE DZAMBHALA / BLACK DZAMBHALAjambala black

  • Is said to have manifested from the waters of the river and gave transmission of generating wealth to king whose kingdom was under extreme financial difficulty. It is said the Blue Jambhala (Black Jambhala) greatly benefits and favors the people who are in extreme poverty if they chant his mantra. It is said that he will purify all bad lucks and obstacles that cause financial problems. He also prevents loss of wealth thru debts and robbery or theft. He can also subdue a human’s ego and eliminate greed.
  • Please note that one should not confuse Black Dzambhala with that of Bodhisattva Vajrapani.
  • The mantra of Blue Dzambhala/Black Dzambhala is: OM DZAMBHALA DZALIN DRAYE BASHU DHARINI SOHA

It is inevitable for me to explain, as instructed by Guru Lama, for me to explain and talk about the Four Heavenly Kings first and to introduce all the God of Wealth – Dzambhalas, before I can really talk about and share with you the good news about the powerful Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet.

Some might consider this as a fairly young and unknown amulet, but according to Guru Lama, this perception is false, for the instructions on how to make this amulets are found in Tantric Buddhist Scriptures.

About two decades ago, when Guru Lama was much younger but who is already heading a temple as it’s Chief Abbot, he was approached by one his Sangha member (temple goer) who goes to the temple, this person is a devout Buddhist and is one of the most compassionate person Guru Lama has met. He will seldom complain, but because he goes to temple almost everyday, Guru Lama would talk to him a lot, and from there he realized that this man has lived a difficult life mostly because he was in poverty. Guru Lama seldom notices how a person dresses, it is as if he sees through the dress or clothes and will just see the person devoid of his financial status in life. But according to Guru Lama, one day this man can’t bear the hardship much longer because he was unable to pay for his wife’s hospitalization and medicines that he just cried and cried while talking to Guru Lama. According to Guru Lama, it is as if he was awakened and notices that the man’s clothes are worn out and to put it simply and directly, he does look poor.

Guru Lama set out to help the man and raise funds for him. However, he knew that this was a temporary help. And so he meditated to know what he could do for this man. In his meditative state he saw a book fell off from one of the shelves in their temple library, which according to Guru Lama was much smaller than it is now. He knew right away that he has been guided by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to check out this book. He remembers clearly which book ‘fell off from the shelf’ in his meditative state and so he went to check this book. Much to his dismay it was a Tantric Buddhist Scripture that can only be read by senior lamas. He was already a senior lama at that time, but a Tantric Buddhist Scripture is one of the most difficult books or books in Buddhism. But since he knew the answers could be found in those pages, he set out to read it.

Three weeks after he came across the instruction on how to make the Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet, and knew immediately that this what the Sangha member needs, and so following all the rules and strict guidelines, he set out to make one.

When he gave the Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet, which is an amulet that has to be consecrated under the Four Heavenly Kings (not just King Vaisravana) and the Five Dzambhalas, he gave him the instruction as mentioned in the Tantric Buddhist Scripture book he read, to chant the mantras of the three of the Four Heavenly Kings three times, and chant the mantra of King Vaisravana 49 times, and each of the mantra of the Five Dzambhalas 108 times.

The Sangha member followed the instruction and the rest soon became history. To this day, that Sangha member remains to be one of the wealthiest famous people in Singapore. Throughout all these years he continues to wear the Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet.

Vaisravana Dzambhala Wealth Amulet

The Vaisavana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet has the consecrated copies of the mantras of King Vaisravana of the Four Heavenly Kings and the mantras of the Five Dzambhalas. Furthermore, there are some special ingredients in powder form that are included to add to the potency of the amulet. Before it is sealed it is furthered consecrated on the image of The Four Heavenly Kings. It is placed in a metal case, not just for its durability and protection but according to the Tantric Buddhist Scripture book where Guru Lama got the instructions for this amulet, it has to be placed in cylindrical metal case to symbolize continuity and stability.

I’m sharing this with you because Guru Lama, after long contemplation, which started early this year, has decided to make this amulet available to the public. The Vajrapani Ruel is almost running out, meaning there are only a few pieces left, and Guru Lama felt that in these uncertain times, especially with the extreme financial stability or volatility, we can all use some help from this powerful amulet called Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet. It is placed in a metal case, not just for its durability and protection but according to the Tantric Buddhist Scripture book where Guru Lama got the instructions for this amulet, it has to be placed in cylindrical metal case to symbolize continuity and stability.

Like any other amulets, the stipulated donation for this amulet will go to the feeding of the monks, building of temples, or making an image of a Buddha or a Bodhisattva. To understand further on acquiring an amulet, I suggest you read the post – The Evolution of Acquiring An Amulet.

The Four Heavenly Kings: Getting to Know Four Powerful Buddhist Gods that Helps Bestow Wealth, Success, Peace, and Protection.

Published Agosto 30, 2017 by jptan2012

Today is a very good day and an exciting day (please note that actual writing and date of posting are usually different from each other) for me and in a way for my regular readers and believers of Feng Shui and Buddhism it should be a good day for you also, because today is the day I was told by my Guru Lama to share with you about the Four Heavenly Kings.four heavenly kings

The Four Heavenly Kings has been featured in numerous Buddhist Sutras, one of which is in The Sutra of the Past Vows of Earth Store Bodhisattva; Earth Store Bodhisattva is also known as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva or Di Zhang Pu Sa. In this particular sutra, Sakyamuni Buddha (The Historical Buddha) directly addressed the Four Heavenly Kings to help propagate the Sutra of the Past Vows of Earth Store Bodhisattva. They were also prominently mentioned in the highly revered Golden Light Sutra.

It is said that those who recite the Golden Light Sutra will be protected by the Four Heavenly Kings themselves. Furthermore, those who recite and keep the Lotus Sutra will also be protected by the Four Heavenly Kings.

From this we can see that the Four Heavenly Kings are powerful protector Buddhist gods, however, as you read on you will that they don’t only protect us but they each also have a specific function which is different from each other.

At this point, I would like to clarify that the Four Heavenly Kings are gods in the Buddhist pantheon; it means they are not yet Bodhisattvas or Buddhas, and they serve the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas.

Again, The Four Heavenly Kings are Buddhist gods, each of who watches over their assigned cardinal direction of the world. The cardinal directions are East, West, North, and South. In Chinese they are originally known or called as “Fēng Tiáo Yǔ Shùn” (風調雨順), which literally translates to “Good climate”, but in the translation in the Chinese version of sutras they are called “Sì Dà Tiānwáng” (四大天王) which means “Four Great Heavenly Kings”.four heavenly kings 2

In most Chinese Buddhist Temples, one will normally see the THE HEAVENLY KINGS HALL. This is usually one of the first most majestic halls one will see.

The Four Heavenly Kings resides in Mt. Sumeru, a celestial and cosmic mountain where the heavens are. They are also the protector of the world and they fight evil, each of the 4 Heavenly Kings are able to command a legion of supernatural creatures to protect the Dharma or people who follow the Dharma.

Each of the Four Heavenly Kings serves Sakra, the of the devas (gods) of the Trayastrimsha Heaven. In Buddhism there are many heavens, and the Tranyastrimsha Heaven is the heaven nearest to our world, which is called Jambvudpiva is Buddhist sutras.

Although they are more commonly called as the Four Heavenly Kings, each one of them has a name and their specific directions and functions. Allow me to introduce to you the Four Heavenly Kings:

VAISRAVANA (He Who Hears Everything)Vaisravana.

  • Is the chief of the Four Heavenly Kings and is the main protector of the cardinal direction North. He is sometimes likened to Bodhisattva Kuan Yin (also spelled or called as Quan Yin, Guan Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Guan Shi Yin, Quan Shi Yin, Avalokitesvara, Kannon, Chenrezig, Bodhisattva of Compassion, Goddess of Mercy) whose literal translation is THE WHO HEAR THE CRIES OF THE WORLD.

According to Guru Lama praying to the Four Heavenly Kings will provide us with wealth and prosperity (thru King Vaisravana), success and progress (thru King Virudhaka), peace and harmony (thru King Dhrtarastra) and, good health and protection from danger (thru King Virupaksa). Placing their images at home also serves as one of the most powerful protection amulet one can have.

Guru Lama shares with me a story about how when he was assigned by the Dalai Lama to leave Dharamsala, India to help spread Buddhism and build temple in other parts of Asia, he has personally tapped into the blessings and power of the Four Heavenly Kings.

That was a few decades ago and when he left India, he was only given small amount money to travel and spread the Dharma and eventually build a temple. Guru Lama said he was a little apprehensive because a few years back they just left Tibet because of Chinese oppression, and when he was asked to leave again to spread the Dharma, he was apprehensive and really nervous even though he was excited and felt honored to be entrusted with the task of spreading the Dharma.

A few months before leaving India, he started preparing himself physically and mentally to this overwhelming task. He would always meditate on the teaching of the different sutras and would always draw strength from Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (aka Kuan Yin, Quan Yin, Guan Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Quan Shi Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Chenrezig, Kannon) and Bodhisattva Vajrapani. One night in his sleep he received a vision that Vajrapani Bodhisattva visited him and that he was shown the images of the Four Heavenly Kings. Upon waking up he knew then that he would need the help of the Four Heavenly Kings to help progress in his endeavor.

This totally make sense, because if you go back to the description of the Four Heavenly Kings, he will need wealth and prosperity to help build a temple, success and progress so that people will see the good side of what he was about to do, peace and harmony so that he can transmute that feeling to the people around him, good health for this overwhelming task, and protection to ensure that he doesn’t come to harm’s way in spreading the Dharma.

And so my Guru Lama started worshipping and praising the Four Heavenly Kings by making offerings to them and by chanting the mantras of the Four Heavenly Kings. He also vigorously recited The Golden Light Sutra, and The Lotus Sutra (full title is called “Sūtra on the White Lotus of the Sublime Dharma”). And the rest is history. According to Guru Lama he was able to become an instrument into building a temple and building a Sangha (Buddhist community) with relative ease. Money for the temple just kept on pouring in.

Note: To this day Guru Lama still actively participate in building temples. The stipulated donation from the amulets goes to the feeding of the monks or building temples or making of images of Buddhas or Bodhisattvas.

And so today, again for the first time, I want to share with you a powerful mantra that will help you attract wealth and prosperity, success and progress, peace and harmony, lastly, good health and protection, you can recite the mantras of each of the Four Heavenly Kings.

Here are the mantras of each of the Four Heavenly Kings:

  1. For Wealth and Prosperity recite the Mantra of King Vaisravana: OM VAISRAVANA YE SOHA
  2. For Success and Progress in Life recite the Mantra of King Virudhaka: OM VIRUDHAKA KUMBHANDADHIPATA YE SOHA
  3. For Peace and Harmony recite the Mantra of King Dhrtarastra: OM DHRTARASTRA RALAPRAVADHAHA SOHA
  4. For Good Health and Protection recite the Mantra of King Virupaksa: OM VIRUPAKSA NAGA DHIPATA YE SOHA

Recite – A – Sutra (9): A Sutra Called Avatamsaka Sutra and Powerful Amulet Called Avatamsaka Amulet that Dispels Off the Hindrances in Our Life’s Luck!

Published Enero 27, 2017 by jptan2012

Life’s luck is such a curious thing. It shows that we are all connected to one another, sometimes our Bazi Chart (Paht Chee Chart) indicates that we are extremely lucky, however, due to our relationships with some people or maybe due to the bad Feng Shui of our house or office we experience a lot of negative things, or maybe these luck that is set for us becomes unattainable.

This is actually more common that we realize. In fact, a lot of the problems that my readers consult me are problems that sometimes are caused by people around them or by ancestors. Or maybe these are problems caused by circumstances that affect their loved ones.

Let me try to explain it further. What I want to say is that sometimes we are strictly speaking lucky, but there are hindrances to our luck because of the luck experienced by the people around us or people we deal with. This is because our luck whether we like it or not is affected by other people, by the people who is around us.

For example, a husband and wife, the luck of the husband may be very good but the wife has extreme bad luck. The business of the husband may be doing really well, but let’s just say the wife was affected with the illness star and actually got terribly sick. Because of this the husband will not experience his full luck potential, he will be pulled down by his wife’s luck. On the other hand, the wife even though suffering from an illness will not also experienced her full bad luck potential, she will be pulled up by her husband’s luck. It may be her chart indicates that she will have to undergo a serious operation, but because the husband’s business is doing well, he will be able to get her the best doctors and medicines that may find another cure. On the other hand, the husband’s business may be doing well, but because of his wife’s bad luck, he won’t be able to save the money that he wants to save.

That’s just how life is, and I believe this is the case because whether we want it or not, this serves as a lesson that we are all connected to one another and that we should look out for one another.

Let me give you another example. In career or corporate world a person may be enjoying the luck of advancement by way of promotion or monetary incentive. But in a department, you seldom work on your own, you will have to have people work under you, above you or you have to work with colleagues. However, one colleague fell ill, then you would have to strive to work harder. Again, you are somewhat pulled down, but then because you have that luck you might have pulled it off and he might have gotten some of the credits of what you did.

Again, this is not being unfair or I don’t want you to think that we should start checking on who has bad luck or good luck. This is a lesson that we have to learn. Bad luck and good luck becomes all good luck if we strive to put in positive energies by way of creating harmony.

What we have to be careful of is when it seems that negative energies because of the bad luck of the people around us seems to completely tip the scale to bad luck. This happens when our luck is just average, or when we are not strong enough to put in positive energies by way creating harmony. Or this may happen when the bad luck energies are coming from people who are not close enough to us for us to influence their situation. This is pretty common amongst people in business. Sometimes the people we deal with in business has so much bad luck that we are affected because, well, because we deal business with them.

On a personal level this imbalanced tipping of the scale favoring the bad luck happens when in the family the majority has bad luck, and you are the only one who enjoys good luck. One against the others doesn’t necessarily mean that you become the loser and all becomes negative, if you are strong enough to balance the scale it will happen.

Sometimes the scale also becomes imbalanced because of bad Feng Shui in the house or office. Or sometimes simply because of the how our elements from our Bazi Chart reacts with the elements of year’s Bazi Chart. A classic example of this is how 56 – year – old Ox – born people have a low or no financial luck this 2017 because of how their elements reacted to the year’s elements.

When the scale becomes imbalanced and becomes too negative it is extremely helpful for us to seek the help of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. One very powerful way to do this is to tap the power of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas by reciting one of the most powerful but quite long Buddhist sutra called Avatamsaka Sutra (also called as Flower Garland Sutra or Flower Adornment Sutra).

This sutra is one of the longest Buddhist Sutras and is also one of the most highly revered. In fact it is so long that parts of it has been taken out and made into a separate sutra.

But before we move forward, maybe you’d be asking as to what is Avatamsaka Sutra. Avatamsaka is actually a Bodhisattva.

He is not a very popular Bodhisattva these days because of the lack of reading materials about him. But according to my Guru Lama who introduced me to Bodhisattva Avatamsaka, he is one of the Bodhisattvas that were talked about by Sakyamuni (Shakyamuni) Buddha in his more advanced sutras and was highly extolled by the Buddha.

Going back to the Sutra.tibetan

According to Lama Zopa Rinpoche and my Guru Lama reciting this sutra will certainly take away all the hindrances to one’s growth and one’s luck be it personal, wealth, financial, love, or family.

The Traditional Sutra Amulet format of the Avatamsaka Sutra is so rare and the few that exists is so big and heavy. However, just in time for the Chinese New Year, my Guru Lama was able to acquire a few pieces of the chapter of the Avatamsaka Sutra that is about Kuan Yin Bodhisattva (Guan Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Guan Shi Yin, Avalokitesvara, Kannon), having this Traditional Sutra Amulet will help dispel all the blockage of your good luck and pave away for good luck. My Guru Lama is making 5 pieces of this available here in the Philippines. The good news is that even without understanding it, one can recite it in Chinese because he made sure that there is a Pin Yin beside the Chinese words, for people who want to recite it. Again reciting it is better than simply having a copy. Although having a copy alone will already work wonders.

avatamsaka-sutra

One of 5 copies of the Avatamsaka Sutra (Kuan Yin Bodhisattva Chapter) that’s available here in the Philippines.

Furthermore, my Guru Lama has also acquired some Avatamsaka Amulet made by a Tibetan Yogi Monk (a monk that went through a special disciplinary training akin to yoga but much more deeper and stricter). According to my Guru Lama wearing the Avatamsaka Amulet will definitely take away all the hindrances to all forms of bad luck and at the same time provide us with good luck and help us achieve our full potential. However, I’m unable to provide photo of the Avatamsaka Amulet because according to my Guru Lama this is an amulet that one cannot show to somebody. When you have this, you must keep it inside your shirt. I asked Guru Lama as to why is this the case. All he said is that displaying the said amulet might lose its effectivity if people get attracted to it. He is not sure why this is the case, but this is what they observed. To briefly describe the said amulet, it comes in two forms, one is made of wood with glass, and the other one is made of metal. The two forms are basically the same with a slight variation in the ingredients and material. When one requests for it, one will get it covered in a small pouch and my Guru Lama said the Tibetan Yogi Monk who made it said that the one who requests will attract what he needs.

You can download the English version of the Avatamsaka Sutra here: avatamsaka-sutra

You don’t have to finish it in one sitting, and you really can’t, what I do is read a chapter a day.

2017 Year of the Fire Rooster Feng Shui Forecast Base on Bazi, Flying Stars Formula, and 24 Mountain Stars Formula: A Balance Chart But A Conflicting Year (Part 1)

Published Disyembre 21, 2016 by jptan2012

A lot of people have been asking me as to why I haven’t posted anything for more than a week. That is because I ran of banked stories to post because of hectic November and December and also I have to do the Feng Shui analysis for 2017 Year of the Fire Rooster. This takes a lot of time for me to compute and analyze.

In the previous years, I would write my forecast in January so that it doesn’t interfere with the traditionally busy month of December. I do this because I don’t a pool of people analyzing the year’s Feng Shui for me, instead, I have to this on my own, do the computation myself then after that do the analysis. Thus it is easier to do it in January. Furthermore, I want to disabuse the belief that the energies of the year starts in January, because it starts either every February 4 of the year or when Chinese New Year comes in.

However, last year I broke this tradition because the energies of the 2016 Year of the Fire Monkey came early. This year, the Year of the Fire (Intense) Rooster is no different. It’s energies can already be felt by January 4, 2016 and it will already mix the with tail end of the annual energies of 2016 and the monthly energy of the last month of the lunar calendar.

2017-bazi

Image lifted from Google Images.

I write this post with a little trepidation. 2017’s Bazi Chart or Paht Chee Chart is quite balance, which is totally different from last year’s chart, and that is a good news. However, amongst the 4 pillars of the chart, only one pillar has a harmonious relationship, the rest are actually destructive pillars. This is not totally surprising because a year is rarely, in fact almost never totally good or totally bad. But what is a cause for concern for me is that the chart indicates a calamitous or cataclysmic event in the 3rd quarter of the year. This can be a worldwide occurrence or it can be patches of smaller (per country) cataclysmic event that will have a worldwide impact. Before I move on to discussing these things in detail, I would like to make clear again, like every year, that this forecast is base on analysis of the Paht Chee Chart / Bazi Chart of the year, together with the Flying Stars and the 24 Mountain Stars Formula. I’m not psychic, this doesn’t come from channeling an energy to make a prediction, rather I compute the bazi chart and make an analysis about it.

Now the question is how accurate are the forecast, and note that I use the word forecast and not prediction, well, as pointed out by readers I have a high batting average and I say this with extreme humility. To this day, it is only this blog who has brazenly written about the Yolanda tragedy (Typhoon Haiyan) that struck Central Visayas before it happened and not in hindsight. While I was not able to pinpoint that it will be in Leyte, I clearly pointed out that a natural calamity followed by a shortage of food will struck somewhere in Visayas in the Philippines. This was forecasted and a reader remembered and pointed it out. This was followed by the extreme heat weather forecast, then the earthquake in Nepal, and lastly by the forecast of the presidential elections in the Philippines and the financial instability that is happening now. And so I say that I write this post with a little trepidation because of some things that the chart shows may happen this year.

Anyway, I think I’m getting ahead of myself. Now allow me to share with you the year’s Bazi / Paht Chee.

For those of you who are familiar with the Bazi / Paht Chee you will notice that the first good news that I can share with you is that all five elements, namely wood, metal, water, fire, and earth made an appearance in the chart. This is good because this indicates that the year is a balance year. It’s been quite some time since we had a balance year and as you may remember, 2016 was one of the worst imbalanced years with the total absence of the fire element. Superficially speaking this 2017 should be a harmonious year, and since all elements are present, it also indicates that there should be a lot of resources available and that there should be stability. But if you notice I used the word ‘superficially’ because the four pillars indicates, as already mentioned earlier, that it is conflicting or in disharmonious state. That is true for the 3 pillars out of the 4 pillars. Furthermore, the ruling Chinese Zodiac, which is the Rooster is also afflicted with the #3 Flying Star or Argument Star, so this sort of negates that harmonious state of the presence of all the five elements in the Bazi Chart. More on about the #3 Flying Star affliction later.

Before I discuss the implications of each pillar. I would like to share with you first some of the luck controlled by each of the element.

fireThis year Wealth Luck is controlled by the Fire element. So those of you who have a high fire element in there Bazi or Paht Chee is somehow assured of wealth or financial luck coming your way. This means that it would be easier for you to get wealth luck compared to other people. To enhance this, one can simply wear more red or wear a red gemstone. Putting light in your front door is also a very powerful way of enhancing this energy; just make sure your front door is not in the North. Furthermore, one can carry a lighter and light the lighter several times a day.

earthPower Luck is controlled by the Earth Element, and this year it is quite important to have power because while it has determined a lot of things for a person, this year that energy will be doubled. Also in the 3rd and 4th quarter of the year, one has to have power for one to have access to wealth luck. For those whose Bazi / Paht Chee has a very high earth element is assured already of being a little bit more powerful than most people. The Earth element is one of the most important element this year, because it controls a lot of things. To enhance this energy do wear an image of Earth Store Bodhisattva (also called Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva or Di Zhang Wang Pu Sa) and one should wear more gems or semi – precious stones. Wearing citrine or topaz is one of the best stone to wear this year.

waterFriendship Luck is controlled by the Water Element. This year the water element is quite high so it indicates that instead of friendship and support that energy is turn into competitiveness. It will not be surprising if friends back stabbed friends to get more of a winning advantage, thus this brings us back to the importance of having more power. Let me clarify here that when I say power this doesn’t refer only to actual power that comes with a position, but rather also more subtle power that comes from within. Furthermore, to deflect the negative effect of this energy, one will do well to wear a Surangama Mantra Amulet(1) or a Vajrapani Ruel(1). Normally, we can suggest a harmony charm or cure, but for this year a harmony charm will not have much effect for the effects of this energy.

metalResources Luck is controlled by the Metal Element. If you notice, the suggestion is to wear an image of Earth Store Bodhisattva made of gold. Why? Because one will also need the energy of a metal to have resources, which is quite an important aspect of having power. Resources here refer not only to the physical and tangible resources, but also life chi or inner chi resources.

woodIntellectual Luck is controlled by the Wood Element. There is only one wood in the chart and this means that intellect doesn’t really play much of a factor in the wielding of power, and this is quite scary, because it shows that a lot of people especially those who are in power and who are near a powerful person will not use much of their brains. However, while this is weak, it also presents an opportunity for us to tap into the energies of the wood element for us to have an upper hand. Wearing a citrine this year will already enhance that energy but if one can have a petrified wood or be surrounded by trees or plants or wear wood jewelries, then one can have access to more Intellectual Luck. Who knows this might make a lot of differences. In fact, I personally think more intellect will make a lot of difference.

Looking at the Bazi Chart, first we are reassured that it indicates that this year will be dominated by what I would call ‘action energy’. Meaning more people will be inclined to see and act on positive things, on top of that, more people will tend to be more cooperative. Politically speaking this may be a good thing because people will tend to look for more positive things from the government.

However, we all see that at the first pillar of the Bazi /Paht Chee, which is one of the more important pillar in the chart and rules the first quarter of the year, the Heavenly Stem Yin Fire is destroying the Yin Metal element of the Rooster. This indicates that the start of the year may be a little challenging in terms of personal goals and also for wealth or financial aspect. Somehow we are able to see that start of this challenges already, especially in the Philippines when the peso continues to be weak even with the influx of remittances from the Overseas Filipino Workers sector coming in. The BSP Governor (BSP stands of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas or in English Central Bank of the Philippines) has also express apprehension with how the peso is doing in the international market. Other countries might also experience the same financial crisis because this is not true only to the Philippines. However, this is where the nation’s leader comes in, depending on how they manage the country, and handle the energies of the year, this may still be reversible or at the very least tempered.

On a personal level, the start of the year will also make most people (not all) that things are not taking off the way they want it to be. It will be more difficult and people might encounter a lot of problems along the way. To help counteract these negative energies of the first quarter, which will have a lasting effect on the rest of the year, one will do well to wear a powerful amulet like the Vajrapani Ruel(2) or a Kalachakra pendant made of gold or jade.

I’ll jump to the hour pillar first because this is another disharmonious pillar. This pillar rules the last quarter of the year. In this pillar you’ll see that the Yang Earth is destroying the Yang Water element of the sign of the Rat. This indicates a very strong instability for corporate worlds and most especially politically. Furthermore, it shows that the last quarter of the year may be a little turbulent; this is both for financial and personal life. Most Chinese Zodiac Animal signs are affected, especially those whose sign has an intrinsic elements of Earth, Wood, Water, and Fire. The only one that was spared is those whose intrinsic element is Metal. To counter this, it is advisable for one to wear an image of Earth Store Bodhisattva (also known as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva or Di Zhang Wang Pu Sa). It is also better if this is worn as gold for you to have more of the metal energy that one needs. However, this is something that you don’t just wear on the last quarter, you need to store up on the energy bestowed by wearing the image Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha (Bodhisattva Earth Store), so it is advisable to wear this as early as January of 2017.

ksitigarbha pendant

From my personal collection. A rare Red Amber Ksitigarbha. If wearing it as a pendant, I prefer the image with the five leave crown. Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to get a Ksitigarbha pendant unless you’re from Malaysia, Hong Kong, or Singapore. FOR THIS YEAR IT IS IMPORTANT TO WEAR THE IMAGE OF BODHISATTVA KSITIGARBHA IN GOLD.

Let us now examine the 3rd Pillar of the Paht Chee, which is the Day Pillar, a pillar that rules the third quarter of the year. For those of you who are familiar with the relationships of the elements, you’ll see right away that this is another disharmonious pillar, but this time it is the earthly branch Yang Earth element of the Dog that destroys the Yang Water of the Heavenly Stem. This indicates that the third quarter is going to be ruled by some strong power. This may be good or bad depending on who has the power, and thus superficially speaking it depends on who the leader is. However, we mentioned earlier that there is what I call ‘action energy’ or people might tend to be more cooperative. Taking that into consideration there might be a subtler power but might prove to be more effective in the long run. But what is scary here whether who has the power whether good or bad this might still have some destructive effect. A possibility of a significant calamity is also possible this 3rd quarter. Again, for this it would do well to tap on the energy of Di Zhang Wang Pu Sa (Earth Store Bodhisattva), and it will do well for one to have the Vajrapani Ruel(3) or a gold or jade Kalachakra pendant.

Let us now examine the 2nd Pillar, which is the Month Pillar and has significant effects on the 2nd quarter of the year. Putting this last in the analysis of the pillars only because this one brings good news. And it is important to be forewarned about the negative first before we concentrate on enhancing the good. The 2nd Pillar is one pillar that has a harmonious relationship. How does this translate to us? It means that the 2nd quarter of the year may be the best time of the year; especially those who want their project to take off.

This year the hidden stem also produced a lot of special stars; some of them are good some are bad. First, there is the Peach Blossom Star, which is depending on your current situation may be either good or bad. This star may help bring lovers and life long partners into your life. However, this also brings in third party problems for those who are already married or attached. Especially affected to the negative effects of this star are those couple that sleeps on their bad directions. Unfortunately, this is something that I cannot discuss here because this varies from one person to another.

The hidden stem also produced the Mentor Star, which means some of us can tap into the power of influential people or those elder either in years or experience to help achieve our goals. This also means that when you tap into the power of the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas or Deities, Goddess, or Taoist Gods you can get more help. To activate this star, it will do well to wear an image of a Buddha or a Bodhisattva. Some of my favorites for this star are the image of Buddha Sakyamuni (Buddha Shakyamuni), Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara(1) (also called Kuan Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Guan Yin, Guan Shi Yin, Kannon) or Bodhisattva Sangharama (also called Qie Lan Sheng Chong Pu Sa, Qie Lan Pu Sa, or popularly known as Kuan Kong which is also spelled as Guan Gong). This year if you are wearing an image of Bodhisattva Earth Store (Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha) it also serves as tapping into the power of the Mentor Star.

“The Diamond of Perfect Wisdom Sutra” is One of the Holiest and Powerful Sutra Amulet That You Can Keep: A Special Recite – A – Sutra Article.

Published Oktubre 14, 2016 by jptan2012

In the preceding post I talked about how a sutra is also used an amulet. This can be a traditional sutra or a miniature sutra. Each of these sutras will definitely be a protective amulet, but more than that they also have different peripheral blessings that they bestow to anyone who has them.

sutra-amulets

These are just one copy each of the very limited copies sent to me by my Guru Lama of the THE SUTRA OF THE PAST VOWS OF THE KSITIGARBHA BODHISATTVA, THE DIAMOND OF PERFECT WISDOM SUTRA and THE MEDICINE BUDDHA SUTRA. Sutras are also used as very powerful amulets, that is why you will often old Buddhist Chinese houses has a copy of the Sutra on their altar though they might not be reciting the sutra itself.

All sutras offers some blessings when one read it, but when use as a sutra some are more powerful than others, only because the Buddha himself has made it as such. Don’t get me wrong all are powerful but the Buddha himself has indirectly assigned specific additional blessings in some of these sutras. These additional blessings are mentioned in the actual teachings of the Buddha as stated in the sutra itself.

Some of these sutras that are considered really powerful are THE DIAMOND OF PERFECT WISDOM SUTRA, THE MEDICINE BUDDHA SUTRA, THE GOLDEN LIGHT SUTRA and THE SUTRA OF THE PAST VOWS OF EARTH STORE (KSITIGARBHA) BODHISATTVA.

As I said one of the most powerful sutra is “THE DIAMOND OF PERFECT WISDOM SUTRA”, (also called “The Vajra Cutter Perfection of Wisdom Sutra” or “The Vajra Sutra” or “The Vajra Cutter Sutra” or “The Diamond Sutra). According to the Buddha, as stated in the said sutra when one recites and comprehends the said sutra one’s merits or blessings will exceed that of person who fills a trichiliocosm with the seven jewels and gives them away in charity. It will be difficult for me to explain a trichiliocosm but that should be tremendous amount of merits.

Paragraph 11: “Subhuti, what do you think? If a person fills a trichiliocosm with the seven jewels and gives them away in charity, wouldn’t the merit attained by this person be great?” Subhuti said, “Extremely great, World Honored One. Why? The nature of merit is empty; therefore the Tathagata says that this merit is great.” The Buddha said: “But if a person comprehends and follows even a four-line verse of this sutra, and teaches it to others, this person’s merit would exceed that of the former example. Why? Subhuti, all buddhas and all of their teachings on unsurpassed complete enlightenment originate from this sutra.

Paragraph 19: “Subhuti, what do you think? If there were as many Ganges Rivers as the grains of sand in the Ganges, wouldn’t the amount of sand contained in all those Ganges Rivers be great?” Subhuti said, “Extremely great, World Honored One. If even the number of the Ganges Rivers is innumerable, how much more so their grains of sand?” “Subhuti, now I tell you truthfully: If a good man or good woman fills as many trichiliocosms as the grains of sand in all those Ganges Rivers with the seven jewels, and gives them away in charity, wouldn’t this merit be great?” “Extremely great, World Honored One.” The Buddha said to Subhuti: “If a good man or good woman is able to comprehend and follow a four-line verse of this sutra and teach it to others, their merit will be far greater.”

You might be wondering what has merits to do with protection and blessings. A merit is another term for good karma, so simply reciting and understanding THE DIAMOND SUTRA creates unbelievable merits for us.

Allow me to share a short story about somebody who has greatly benefited from THE DIAMOND SUTRA as shared by my Guru Lama. This is the story of an illiterate Tibetan who was born in exile in India. Kunchen is the second son of a family who left Tibet for India at that time China was attempting to assassinate the Dalai Lama. His family supposedly left Tibet 2 years after the Dalai Lama left.

I won’t go into details how difficult it is for Tibetans to live in a country whose climate is totally different from them, or at least, where they were assigned by the Indian Government, which is in Dharamsala. Kunchen’s older brother, who was born in Tibet, was put in a monastery so that he can become a monk, something that is quite a common practice amongst Tibetan Buddhists.

Kunchen became the eldest, and all he remembers that his father has to go to a different place to work, so it was left to his mom and Kunchen to run the house. Kunchen has 2 more younger siblings. Kunchen had a difficult life and so when he reached 18 he decided to leave his family and took his to get work in other parts of India.

Kunchen, found himself working from one employer to another. He seems to be a skilled worker and can easily learn new things, however, it seems his biggest problem that he seems to have a deep-seated anger that he was born poor and somehow without any particular reasons he has detested all his employers.

Soon Kunchen got married and had sons and daughters of his own. He and wife both had to work to make ends meet, and still Kunchen can’t hold a job for more than three years. Although he still considered himself as Buddhist, most Tibetans are and can’t see themselves otherwise, he has never practiced his faith.

Kunchen seems to unable stop problems from arising also. His eldest son had an accident and became bedridden, and then her daughter was sexually molested by an Indian neighbor and she became a mother at 15 years of age. On top of that, money seems to be always a problem, and while Kunchen has always been drinking liquor, these two incidents made him more dependent in alcohol.

It was at this time that Kunchen’s wife tried to look for her mother – in – law whom she has never met. You have to understand the mentality of the Tibetan women or wives, once they got married if they have a problem they normally will seek out the parents of their husbands and not their own mothers. And this is what Kunchen’s wife deed. It took a long time for her to track down her in – laws because Kunchen has stopped communicating with them.

When Kunchen’s mom got the letter she immediately decided to go and pay visit Kunchen a visit. One of her grandsons went with her, but at that time Kunchen’s father had already passed away.

After the initial emotions of seeing each other for a long time, Kunchen’s mother encouraged them to go home with her. She is still in Dharamsala but their life is so much better now, but maybe out of shame for abandoning his family, Kunchen wouldn’t hear of any of it. Because she cannot do anything for them other than to give them some monetary help, she talked to the wife of Kunchen and confirmed that they are still basically Buddhist. She then left with them a book, a traditional sutra, and told them to place it on their altar. The daughter then claimed that both she and Kunchen are unable to read. The mother then informed her that it doesn’t matter and to just put the book on their altar. That book, Kunchen and her wife alter found out is a copy in a traditional sutra form of THE DIAMOND OF PERFECT WISDOM SUTRA.

diamond-sutra2

This is a copy of the big and small THE DIAMOND OF PERFECT WISDOM SUTRA (traditional sutra amulet and sutra amulet) that my Guru Lama sent me. They are quite limited. I only have 10 of the big ones, and 7 of the small ones.

According to my Guru Lama, Kunchen claimed that as soon as he received the traditional sutra, things started to get better. Now, at the age of more than 60, and even he still can’t read, Kunchen and his wife owns several businesses. His grandson from her daughter who bore the child at 15 was the one who helped them run their business. Kunchen made sure all his grandchildren are able to go to school, and they help him with reading the documents but Kunchen and his wife makes the decisions. Of course, now that his grandchildren are older they get to make decisions also.

Kunchen swears that it was THE DIAMOND OF PERFECT WISDOM SUTRA left in the house by his mother who started all the good luck. In fact, Kunchen claims that the atmosphere seems altogether became different. Is this feeling psychological?

I think not, because THE DIAMOND SUTRA itself stated that wherever the sutra is, it is as if the Buddha and Buddha’s revered disciples were also present. And who are the Buddha’s revered disciples, they are the Bodhisattvas or Pratyekabuddhas! This means the place itself becomes holy. In fact, if one recites the sutra, that place should be venerated as a Buddha – shrine. That’s how powerful THE DIAMOND SUTRA is. And remember Kunchen nor his wife could have not read this because they are both illiterate.

Paragraph 20: “Furthermore, Subhuti, wherever one teaches or recites so much as a four-line verse of this sutra, that place should be venerated as a Buddha-shrine by heavenly beings, human beings, and asuras in this world. How much more so is the case where one can completely remember, comprehend, and follow this sutra! Subhuti, you should know that such a person has achieved the highest, rarest of accomplishments. Wherever this sutra is present, it is as if the Buddha and the Buddha’s revered disciples were also present.”

This is indeed one of the most powerful sutra and simply having this will definitely shower upon the holder/owner not only great protection but also wonderful blessings of wealth, health, harmony, and peace.

Paragraph 29: “Subhuti, if a good man or good woman renounces their life for charity in the morning as many times as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, and does likewise at noon and in the evening, continuing thus for immeasurable hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas; and if someone else hears this teaching and gives rise to unwavering faith, the merit of the latter would far exceed that of the former. How much more the merits of those who transcribe, recite, remember, follow, and explain this sutra to others!

In fact, if you have this sutra, the Buddha has instructed that heavenly beings and asuras, aside from human being should come and make offerings. That shows how holy and powerful and important this sutra is. That is also the reason why it should be put on the altar or on a high clean dry place. It should never be put on the floor, or chair, or bed, or dining table.

Paragraph 30 Sentence 5: Subhuti, wherever this sutra is present, all the heavenly and human beings and asuras in all the worlds should come and make offerings. You should know that its presence is equivalent to a pagoda that all should venerate and pay homage to, by circumambulating or scattering flowers and incense around its grounds.”

Paragraph 43: “Subhuti, if a person accumulates the seven jewels into mounds equivalent to all Mt. Sumerus in the worlds of a trichiliocosm and gives them away in charity, and another person recites, remembers, followed, and teaches this prajna paramita sutra or even a four-line verse of this sutra to others, the merit of the former would not be a hundredth, or even a billionth, of that of the latter. In fact, the merit of the latter would be so great that no comparison, by calculation or by analogy, could possibly be made.”

In my future posts, I will talk about stories of people who have benefitted simply by having this sutra at home.
