Do Not Create Feng Shui Blunder By Making Renovations Without Checking For A Good Date: A Brief Reminder

Published Mayo 2, 2018 by jptan2012

Note: This article was written last January, but I just realized recently that I haven’t posted it. This makes for a good Feng Shui reminder also before the ending of this blog, so I’m posting it now.

I have written about this before, but I guess it is only fitting that I write about it again given the past few months I have about 7 readers who committed this blunder.

In making major renovations it is necessary that we must make sure we all check the date when we will be making the renovation. This is because in Feng Shui (as well as in Taoism and Buddhism) there are so called good dates and bad dates. This means that there are dates wherein one cannot make renovations either in the office or at home. This is because there are dates that is ‘chiong’ or “against” (for the lack of the better term) certain animal signs. For example, as I write this today, January 18, the date is “chiong” the sign of the Rooster and Ox. This mean today (as I write this, which is definitely not the day of posting) is not a good day for people born under the sign of the Rooster and Ox to do anything big, especially to make any form of renovations.

One other reason is that there are days wherein it is bad to fix a house not because it is a day that is “chiong” any sign but that there days wherein it is simply bad because there days where in a certain hostile or negative “Mara” or spiritual landlord is stronger on that day. Doing any renovations on that day will seem to be an attack on the said Mara or spiritual landlord.

“Spiritual Landlord” are unseen entities that has been “living” in our lands or house or office even before us. This concept is both accepted concepts in Taoist Feng Shui and even Buddhist Feng Shui. These are entities that are neither good nor bad, but once “attacked” may make them wreak certain negative energies.

Furthermore, and the simplest reason is that there are certain days that are simply bad for doing any renovations because the energies of the day base on the configuration of the stars on that day.

As mentioned above, there are 7 readers of this blog that made that blunder the past few months. One of these reader is my friend BM. BM had some renovations done. She is mostly aware of the “rules”, however, she thought that since she was doing only minor renovations, it should be fine even if she doesn’t check the date.

In a way, she’s right. Minor renovations can be done anytime. However, if you are fixing the roof, ceiling, or the floor, no matter how small it is or how physically minor it is, Feng Shui wise it is not minor. As long as you’ve touched the roof, the ceiling and the floor it is no longer considered as minor even if the area being done is less than an inch!

You might think that something so simple will not do any harm, but if you do it on a really bad day base on the configuration of the stars, and coupled with a day that is “chiong” your animal sign or of any member of your family, and then it is a day of a certain Mara or spiritual landlord then that creates a lot of problem.

In BM’s case, it created some problem with her husband’s business. It was fixed with a simple but quite “pricey” and long ritual. Another reader was lucky enough to be able to get away with it with a short offering and some chanting of mantras. Furthermore, another reader had to do a three-day ritual involving prostrating in front of an image of a Buddha for 49 times!!!!

The cures are actually different depending on the date, the Mara or spiritual landlord you “attacked” or on the severity of the effect.

The best way to handle this though is to be preventive about it, so it is better to check on a good date first. I have seen people literally die of accidents, get invalid, or lose all their money just because they made a seemingly minor renovation on a wrong date.

So, the next time you think of having some renovations better consult a Feng Shui expert or a Feng Shui consultant for this.

The Tumultuous Energies Before the Official Entry of the 2018 Year of the Earth Dog!

Published Pebrero 1, 2018 by jptan2012

In Feng Shui, the last month of the lunar year is one of the most confusing energy of the year, because this is the time when outgoing energies are sort of ‘fighting’ with the incoming energies of the following lunar year.

This year is quite unique though because some signs are experiencing a heightening of some negative energies. If you will remember, last year’s forecast indicates that people born under sign of the Horse and Sheep will have a very challenging year, one that is plague with possible violence and a series of bad luck. The coming 2018 Year of the Earth Dog should be better for them, however, while February 16 hasn’t come in to usher the official Year of the Earth Dog, it is advisable for people born under the year of the Horse and Sheep to be careful.

Actually, because the incoming year brings with it some challenging energies, the remaining energies of the year is also heightened.

In the past few weeks, I have encountered so many people complaining that some sort of bad thing happened to this and that person. Most of these stories have people ending up in the hospital and/or even death.

One of the story involves my own mother.

My mother was born in the year of the Sheep. Because I know that she is affected by the #7 Violent Star and side afflicted with the #5 Yellow Star this 2017 Lunar Year of the Rooster, I made sure that she will be protected with all the amulets that she needs. My siblings and I will also constantly remind her to take extra careful. A few months ago, she fell down, it is a good thing though that she was wearing her amulets and my nephew was also there to ‘save’ her and to keep her from fully falling. On the first week of January, she jokingly said that she has survived 2017!  To which I reminder her that the bad stars are still with her until Feb 15, 2018. However, last week, her friend from high school who happens to be a person born under the year of the Horse, and whose children are born again thus they forbade her to wear any amulets, had a stroke and she subsequently passed away. When she was still in the hospital, in fact, on her first day in the hospital, my mom wanted to visit her. Since I was out of the house, my sister called me to let me know of my mother’s plan to visit her friend. I told my sister not to allow my mom because (1) it is still the year of the Rooster and she is still afflicted with all the bad stars, and (2) that day was really a bad day in terms of the configuration of the stars including the daily Flying Stars, and (3) the hospital is considered a very yin place, meaning it has a lot of negative energies. Even with amulets, as all of you who is familiar with my thinking, I really wouldn’t want to tempt fate. I suggested to my sister that she and I should just accompany my mom to go to the hospital the following day where the stars are auspicious and also so that we can ensure that she has all her amulets.

Maybe it is because of her very close affinity to her friend who has been her friend since high school, or because of how the elderly are sometimes short tempered and impatient and don’t want to be told what to do by their children, my mom acted like a high school or college student and implored the driver and her caregiver to drive her to the hospital. She did this while my sister went to the restroom. In her rush, my mom forgot to wear her amulets, and her caregiver also forgot to let her wear them. Everything went fine, albeit my siblings and I were a little flustered with what my mom did, she was able to get home safely. However, when we all thought that she was safe and sound, she stood up from her chair, lost her balance and fell down. My mom is turning 75 this year, and she has mild osteoporosis, and so it was not surprising that she broke her femur! The only thing is that she didn’t break any of her hip or pelvic bone!!!

As of writing this we are still in the hospital. She has been her for 12 days now and while it is hopeful that she will be discharge in a few more days, it will still take two months of therapy for her to be able to walk properly again.

She tempted fate. I know what I told her that she should still try to be mindful that she still has those bad stars didn’t really sink in with her.

Another person I know who got affected by these challenging energies is my former officemate. Charles, is turning 40 this year, and he was born in the year of the Horse. I’m very fond of Charles because in a world of Public Relations where it is considered a cutthroat business, Charles was one of the few persons that is totally sincere and nice when we used to work together in the PR firm that employs us. This was several years ago, and through the years we remain friends even now that I have my own businesses and he now heads a department of another company. Charles is a born – again Christian, a Pentecostal at that, and so he doesn’t really believe in Feng Shui. Although there are times that he’ll ask me about my forecast.

Charles is afflicted with the #7 Violent Star and the #5 Yellow Star, two of the most negative stars in the Flying Stars formula. Furthermore, his office is also in the South side of his office. I did warn Charles about this and he said he’ll be careful, and true enough it has been a challenging Year of the Rooster for him. I last saw him late last year when we had our annual post-Christmas and pre-New Year dinner. He told me that he is just happy that 2017 is about to end so that he can welcome a better 2018, this was after he asked me what’s in store for him in 2018. Because I know that he takes Feng Shui lightly, I didn’t say that technically speaking Year of the Rooster is until Feb. 15, 2018.

I just received word 2 days ago that Charles died. Initial finding is heart attack but it was later confirmed through an autopsy that he died of acute pancreatic attack / acute pancreatis.

Charles death hit me really hard, part of me thinks that if I just warned him that things will not get better for him until Feb. 16 maybe he would have been more careful and he wouldn’t have died. Our friends and his sister assured me that what happened to Charles is like heart attract. No one can predict when it will happen and there are no warning signs.

Another story is that of famous TV and movie director, Direk Maryo J Delos Reyes. Thru a mutual friend he consulted me early last year. I had the feeling that he doesn’t take this thing seriously and just would like to know what would be the general forecast for him. Direk Maryo, as he is fondly called, was born in the year of the Dragon, however, his bedroom and his head when he sleeps is directed towards the South. As mentioned, the South in the 2017 Lunar Year of the Rooster is afflicted with the #5 Yellow Star or Wu Wang and side afflicted with the #7 Violent Star, not to mention that it also has some other negative stars from the 24 Mountain Stars formula. Told him about this, but I’m really not sure whether he actually followed any of my recommendations. I firmly believe that his passing away has something to do with the fact that his room and his head when sleeping is oriented to the South. I was also told by one of his talents that he passed away due to a heart attack when he was in the Southern part of the Philippines. This might have further weakened his already weak chi by being expose to the South.

We still have a few more weeks left before 2018 Lunar Year of the Earth Dog officially comes in, but it is good if you have them to wear your Vajrapani Ruel, or gold Kalachakra pendant, or any other powerful protective amulets that you have.

Nobody is Bigger than the Force of the World, But…

Published Enero 2, 2018 by jptan2012

Happy Happy New Year to Everyone!

It’s new year base on the Western Calendar, and Feng Shui experts / Feng Shui consultants have been appearing on TV, magazines, and on radio. I have listened to a few some are a legit, but some are totally bogus. First thing first, the year of the earth dog doesn’t come in until Feb. 16, 2018.

Also heard a Feng Shui consultant on radio suggesting several cures. When asked by the anchor what will happen if the person doesn’t have any money to buy the cures, the Feng Shui consultant then that person should prepare for a troubled life because “nobody is bigger than the force of the world” he said in Filipino.

True! I totally agree with him. Nobody is bigger than the force of the world but our faith in a higher being should be bigger than our fears because it is definitely bigger than the force of the world.

What am I saying here?

You all know that I’m strong advocate of cures and/or amulets, especially Buddhist amulets that are highly consecrated! However, the truth is some of these are limited and most often than not because of the process of making them and also because of the things that goes into the amulets, they become quite pricey and one need to fully own the amulets before it really works, this is done in several ways but these days it is mostly done thru an exchange of energies via a stipulated monetary donation. The money covers for the cost of making the amulets, transport, and a donation for building temples and/or feeding the monks. To understand this better, you can read my post called – THE EVOLUTION OF ACQUIRING AN AMULET!

And so, because of these factors, some people might not be able to afford powerful amulets. Does that mean they’re hopeless and should prepare for a troubled year ahead as this Feng Shui consultant is saying? Of course, not, in this blog, I have talked about, several times, what I call the “amulet from within”.

What is the amulet from within? This is our genuine compassion, genuine kindness, genuine love, genuine goodness of our heart. The key word is genuine, meaning it should be real and true. If we have these things, it should also serve as some sort of an amulet. The compassion, kindness, love, goodness here should go beyond our family and friends, it is much broader than the love for family and friends, much purer.

On top of that, we should realize that our faith in a higher being be it Buddha, Allah, Shiva or Jesus Christ, should be bigger than our fears because they are definitely bigger than the force of the world.

Real faith and not pride because of the false humility that one is favored by the higher beings is the key.

While it is true that cures and amulets makes things easier, because they serve as an extension of positive chi, it doesn’t mean without them we are doomed. Because Fate lead by Faith is a path to bliss.

Again, Do Not Tempt Fate!

Published Abril 24, 2014 by jptan2012

I believe I’ve written a blog before about tempting fate. Today, I once again would like to share my personal story wherein I once again felt insusceptible to yin energies and tempted fate.

I know that being born under the sign of the Ox that despite of having a very good year I can be quite susceptible with several negative energies, not to mention that I’m also affected by the ‘Multiplying Star’ which is neither a good star or a bad star. However, I’ll be the first person to admit that I can be quite careless. I know that it is very bad to pass under the stairs and even though I know the serious effects of doing this, but I know that my Feng Shui amulets like the Wish Fulfilling and Buddha’s Blessing Mantra pendant(1) will protect me from the ill effects of doing these Feng Shui blunders.

However, a few months ago, something happened to a good friend’s brother, and the thing was so bad that the family became affected. My friend has his own Wish Fulfilling and Buddha’s Blessing Mantra pendant(2), however, his brothers and mom doesn’t have one, wanting to protect them I decided to convince my friend to let her mom wear my Wish Fulfilling and Buddha’s Blessing Mantra pendant(3), I decided that I will just wear other protective charms, this is because waiting for his mom to have her own Wish Fulfilling and Buddha’s Blessing Mantra pendant(4) will take awhile. This is due to the number of people requesting for it and also due to the fact that we encountered some production delays.

During this time, I would also go with my friend and his brother to a cemetery and worst of all we would always go in the evening, which is a big Feng Shui blunder.

The cemetery is such a yin place and going there in the evening is a double whammy feng shui blunder.

The cemetery is such a yin place and going there in the evening is a double whammy feng shui blunder.

I know this but because of the maybe I thought since I’ve been doing this for the long time that I would be ‘invincible’ to the bad effects of what we are doing.

In Feng Shui, it’s best to always avoid going to a yin place like a cemetery, however, if one must really go, its best to go in the morning or afternoon, but totally avoid going in the evening which is a yin time. I defied all this, and because of this I am now having some problems with a person who I have been dealing with for a long time but now decided to be totally unfair in the way he deals business.

The moral of the story, although continue practicing Feng Shui and reciting mantras will give you some continues protection. It’s best not to tempt fate.

Learning Some Valuable Lessons from A Reader and A Taxi Driver

Published Disyembre 5, 2013 by jptan2012

This has been a very good week for me. Aside from meeting another reader in person, I learned some valuable lessons.Lessons Learned

First, getting to meet one of my readers is really an experience that I value. It makes maintaining this blog so much worth it. This week I got the opportunity to meet a reader who happens to be a Filipino who lives in the US.

BM is a reader who contacted me about a year ago. Since she lives in the states, our communication has been limited to exchanging emails. However, she’s now in Manila for a short vacation and to take care of some documents.

I got the chance to meet BM and she requested me to read her Bazi. I don’t normally accept Bazi or Paht Chee readings these days. However, since BM is somebody who has contacted me about a year ago, I decided to take on her request. I’m glad I did!

BM is a person who doesn’t have any direct wealth. Meaning, she has every reason to become poor. She will never have any money that she’ll get out of luck or from her parents. However, her chart shows that while they may be some bumps along the road, she is destined to live a comfortable life in her old age. This is because BM works like a horse. She really works hard, and her chart shows how hard working she is. In fact, while she’ll definitely demure from the reality that she now has a good life, at least, so much better than most people, she has a comfortable life now because of how hard she worked for it.

I’m sharing this because I believe there’s a valuable lesson that each one of us can learn from her chart. Sometimes, fate is no match with our dedication and hard work. I think this is one of the important lessons I can impart to my readers. Let’s all learn from BM. A hardworking woman who is destined to have a good life.

Another valuable lesson that I learned this week is from a Taxi driver.

The other day, I was a little irritated that my driver got delayed. Since I have to rush to a meeting, I decided to take a cab. Little did I know that I’d learn a valuable lesson from a Taxi driver.

The driver strikes me as somebody who is overly cheerful. What’s more, unlike other taxi or cab drivers, he seem to notice only good things on the road, something that is really quite difficult to do if you drive on the streets of Manila. However, he seems to notice only the good things, like the simple thing that a boy was helping his grandmother (I’m just assuming this that they’re grandmother and grandson) cross the street. The drive said that it’s nice to see young ones still know how to take care of their elder and he seem so happy about it. Or like the homeless guy who takes care of his dog, to which he said that it’s really great that some people are so caring that even they don’t have anything they’re still willing to share whatever they have to another living thing. The guy he was referring to is a guy I see everyday and I haven’t thought of it that way. When I got to my destination, I gave him a twenty pesos tip. He again cheerfully expressed his gratitude and thanks me and said that it will add to his education fund for his children. Twenty pesos is a small amount, it’s a little less than US$0.50, and there was no sarcasm in his voice, he was really very appreciative. Because of that I gave him a bigger amount, a little bigger than my cab fare.

Again, I learned a valuable lesson. With all the good luck I’ve been receiving, I sometimes forget to be thankful with the little things that I get everyday.

Hard work, a grateful heart, and a cheerful predisposition are some of the most important Feng Shui charm or cure one can have in life. Maybe I’m pushing it a little, but maybe it is almost as good as having the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT.

NOTE: For those who haven’t received their Four Dharmakaya Relic Mantras please email me again with the SUBJECT: FDRM. Have been really busy the past few weeks and my file got really disorganized. Apologies for this.

Which is Stronger, Love or Fate?

Published Setyembre 9, 2013 by jptan2012

loveI recently received an email from a woman who is requesting for the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT(1), and she also requested that I check her bazi /paht chee and that of her partner to check whether they’ll have a good married life.

I agreed to do her bazi and that of her partner’s to determine the best stone to put on their WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT(2). However, since they’re really not having any problems I told her that she doesn’t need the bazi analysis to predict their married life.

Why? To answer it let me share with you a simple and short story about a child who consulted me about their parents’ bazi. The inquiry is largely for their health concerns but in the process I found out that P and M’s (the parents’ initials) paht chee / bazi indicates that their marriage is not a match and that they will go through a lot of ordeals. In fact, the bazi strongly indicated that they will have separated at around the age of 54 for P and 52 for M. M is two years younger than P. The bazi also indicated that the separation is irreversible.

I talked to their child who was consulting me about their health, to ask them about P and M’s relationship. The daughter smiled and said that they’re together and are inseparable. In fact, wherever P went, M follows, and wherever M went P follows. Curious about this, I thought I was doing a wrong reading but their daughter suggested that I go and see her parents. I did.

It was obvious that they’re madly in-love with each other, and at 78 and 76 years old, they still hold hands, take a walk together, and they still love to watch a movie together.

Told them about my reading and admitted that I was wrong with my reading, when they both smiled and told me that the reading could have been correct. They told me that they really had a very rough marriage life when they were younger. They love each other but it seems that they just can’t stand each other as well. Furthermore, both of their parents oppose their marriage.

What’s more, in a moment of weakness, P had another woman at the age of 54. When M found out about it she packed their things, went to the province, and told the kids that they’re staying in the province for a vacation, but P won’t be able to join them. Little did the kids know that their had separated, since it was just the start of summer when it happened, they really thought that they went to their province for a vacation. M thought she’ll just enroll the kids in the province and hope that she’ll be able to come up with a good story as to why they’re staying in the province by the time school arrives.

However, about a month after P followed M and their kids, and they M gave him another chance. That’s the start of the good years.

I’m not a romance writer so I’m unable to write this thing the way they told me. Eyes sparkling and totally devoid of any bitterness.

This is a case of where love won over fate!

Effects of the Dreaded Hungry Ghost Month

Published Hulyo 18, 2012 by jptan2012

Yesterday we talked about the DREADED HUNGRY GHOST MONTH, and as mentioned in yesterday’s post, the Hungry Ghost Month is basically the time when hungry ghosts are released from hell so that they can eat. However, because a lot of these hungry ghosts lived a negative life or died violent deaths, a lot of them still harbor ill feelings brought about their fate, so when they’re released from hell, they also tend to do bad things to us.

I don’t think anybody has properly documented all the effects of the dreaded Hungry Ghost Month but some of the known effects are the following.

INCREASE PARANORMAL OR GHOST MANIFESTATIONS, but not all paranormal manifestations are done by hungry ghosts, sometimes it’s really just some wandering spirits that you wouldn’t normally see or feel but because of the heightened yin energy and paranormal energy brought by the Hungry Ghost month, you’ll become more sensitive to them. Having said that, it is also fairly normal to see some scary ghosts, these usually would be one of the hungry ghosts.

I once talked to a Filipina nurse, who is not aware of the Hungry Ghost month. We were talking about her job in one of the big hospitals in the country. I asked her whether night duties in the hospital give her the creeps. She said, she has gotten used to night duties, and shared that hospitals are not really very scary in the evening. But she concluded that she wonders why in her experience, a lot of patients usually complain about ghostly manifestation around August and not during Halloween. She clarified that sure enough that they will hear stories about ghosts from patients, colleagues, other hospital staffs, relative of patients from time to time, but having worked as a nurse for 14 years; she noticed that stories usually heightened sometime in August.

INCREASE NUMBER OF ACCIDENTS usually happens during the Hungry Ghost month. When I was still working as a feature story producer in one of the leading broadcast media in the Philippines I worked on a story about the rate of accidents here in the Philippines. Again, an accident happens all throughout the year, however, there’s an increase number of accidents happening around August. More than that accidents that happened in August tends to be more severe thus taking more lives.

INCREASE NUMBER OF CRIME also happens during the Hungry Ghost Month. Again, in the same feature show that I produced for, we did a story about crime. We went to three different police stations in QC, Manila, and Pasig. Surprisingly, crime rates increases sometime around August, more than that the crimes that increased is not holdup or petty theft, what increases are murder and homicide.

INCREASE NUMBER OF HOSPITAL DEATHS AND/OR UNEXPLAINABLE MEDICAL PROBLEMS FROM USUAL MEDICAL PROCEDURES also happens. The same Filipina nurse I mentioned to you in the earlier part of this post also said that there are more deaths and normal medical procedures going wrong around August. When I was doing the accident and crime story, I was able to verify that indeed hospitals have more deaths occurring around August.

INCREASE CHANCES OF BUSINESS FAILURE also happens during the Hungry Ghost Month. A Taiwanese media outfit also conducted on a the effects of the Hungry Ghost Month on business, their research showed that more business close or starts to go bankrupt around the Hungry Ghost Month, furthermore, businesses that were opened during the Hungry Ghost Month tend to do badly.

There are a lot more negative effects of a Hungry Ghost Month; the list can go on and on. On my next posts, I’ll share with you the rituals usually done during the Hungry Ghost Month and/or Hungry Ghost Festival. Also I would be sharing with you ways on how you can protect yourself during this season. I am a great believer of Feng Shui because it gives you tools to counteract negative things.

But before that, allow me to share a few, a fraction, of some of the famous things that happened during the Hungry Ghost Month.

  1. 9/11 Attack. The 911 attacks on the Twin Tower is perhaps one of the most high profile cases worldwide that happened during the Hungry Ghost Month. To be exact, it happened on the second to the last day of the Hungry Ghost Month of that year.
  2. Death of Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed also happened during the Hungry Ghost Month.
  3. Britain’s Great Train Robbery happened during the Hungry Ghost Month.
  4. Elvis Presley died right on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Festival.
  5. The Munich Massacre happened four days after the Hungry Ghost Festival.
  6. The collapse of China’s Hunan Bridge, which coincided with the collapse of the 40 year old interstate highway bridge spanning the Mississippi River in Minnesota, USA also happened during the Hungry Ghost Month.
  7. In August 7, 1998, an innocent looking truck drove up to the then US embassy and planted a powerful bomb. More than 200 people were killed in its wake.

In the Philippines…

  1. The Payatas tragedy that buried about 500 scavengers happened at the start of the ghost month that year. A 50-foot garbage fell on their houses at the height of a torrential rain.
  2. On August 3, 1999, heavy torrential rains caused a landslide that killed 58 people and buried over 100 houses at Cherry Hills Subdivision in Antipolo City.
  3. On July 16, 1990, an earthquake that registered 7.7 on the Richter scale killed 1,700 people, injured 3,000 individuals and displaced 148,000.
  4. On July 2, 1993 a floating pagoda carrying hundred of Catholic devotees during the annual pagoda festival in Bocaue, Bulacan sank into the muddy Bocaue River, killing more about half of the devotees who rode the pagoda. It was the start of the Hungry Ghost Month of that year.
  5. The ABC-5 news team involve in a tragic vehicular accident that killed all 3 passenger happened during the Hungry Ghost Month.
  6. The typhoon Ondoy tragedy in 2009 happened at the end of the Hungry Ghost Month.
  7. The Manila Hostage Crisis or what is officially known as the Rizal Park hostage-taking incident, that lasted several hours, injured several of the hostages, killed several people including the HK tourists, the hostage takers and hit the tourism industry in the country happened not only during the Hungry Ghost Month, but more that that it happened on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Festival.

The list continues but I would like to clarify that obviously not all accidents or catastrophes happens during the Hungry Ghost Month, for example the Indian Ocean Tsunami, Japan Earthquake and Tsunami happened far from the Hungry Ghost Month. What we’re saying is that incidents do tend to be worst or the chances of individuals getting into bad things are heightened during the Hungry Ghost Month.
