A Teacher Needs a Ruyi!

Published Hunyo 29, 2014 by jptan2012

A former officemate called me a few months ago; he said he wants to ask help for his girlfriend who became a teacher. After a year of teaching high school students she got really burned out and wanted to quit teaching and do something else.

I decided to talk with his girlfriend, MD, myself. MD said that she always wanted to become a teacher however her first year of teaching was kind a traumatic for her. She was unable to control her students and she was called to the office several times because other teachers complained that her class was really noisy. “The students just won’t listen to me!” complains MD.

MD wants to quit her job but being one of the new teachers in the school, they want her to handle summer class. She just doesn’t know what to do because she loves teaching but at the same time it was traumatic first year for her.

ruyi-jade-pendantI told MD if she really loves teaching she should just stay teaching. Told her she can wear a Ruyi, because a Ruyi (also spelled as Ru YI), which is also known as the ‘Scepter of Authority’. MD said herself that her biggest problem because of her ‘young looks’ is having authority over her students, and thus a Ruyi is very good for her. The truth is a Ruyi is good for all teachers whether new or old.

MD got a Ruyi pendant and admitted that she’s going to try it out for the summer class. She called me up the other day and said that she has signed up for this school year because she thinks the Ruyi worked for her. Summer class is known to be harder class to handle because these are students who flank the said subjects and more than that most of the time these are the students who are a little more difficult to discipline, but according to MD she didn’t have any problem with her students! She now loves what she love doing!

Identifying the Cause of Debt

Published Hulyo 8, 2012 by jptan2012

The past few weeks I’ve been receiving email from people who are in debt. They have been asking me how to get out of it.

The posts FENG SHUI TIPS TO ENHANCE WEALTH LUCK, SIMPLE FENG SHUI TIPS TO ENHANCE WEALTH LUCK should help in making you earn more money, and if your debt is simply because of a spade of bad luck it should help. However, there are other reasons why a person may drown in debt – lack of discipline in handling money, and karmic.

How do you identify the cause?

  1. The tendency to splurge once you gets your money.

There are people who are addicted to spending money. They must spend their money once they have it. I personally of a colleague who is always absent once she got her salary, then she’ll come to work with new clothes, or bags, or jewelries. She also loves changing her mobile phone even if the ‘old’ one is still fairly new and is only several months old.  I think this requires more than Feng Shui to deal with, you need to have psychological help, remember getting psychological help doesn’t mean that you’re psychologically ill, it only means you need help, because the uncontrollable urge to spend usually has deeply rooted motivation, and may also be because of an unrecognized form of addiction.

  1. Over generous.

The other reason for losing money and getting into debt is not really bad, because there are some people who really just are over generous and will help others even if they don’t have enough money themselves. I once saw of a person who will go out of her way to borrow money just to help her friends and or relatives.

  1. Envy

One other major reason is when we tend to envy others and tries to keep up with what they have even if we don’t need it or can’t afford it.

  1. Lack of Knowledge and Support

One other factor is simply lack of knowledge and support. Handling money will need skill and sometimes we simply lack knowledge and support.

  1. Emergencies.

There are times when we all live a simple life, not envious, pretty scrimp on everything and we are fairly discipline in handling money. However, we still get into debt because of some emergencies. This is mostly an indication that it’s karmic.

  1. Bad Luck

Bad things, other than emergencies happen to us whenever we have money. I know of somebody who has been robbed five times in a span of two years. While it indicates severe bad luck and or bad Feng Shui, a lot of it is also karmic.
