DO YOUR OWN FENG SHUI BY LEARNING ABOUT THE KUA NUMBER AND IDENTIFYING YOUR GOOD AND BAD DIRECTIONS!

Published Abril 27, 2018 by jptan2012

As mentioned, the last articles before the eventual ending of this blog is going to be more of an ‘educational’ posts, I will talk about how you can do your basic Feng Shui.

All of us has good and bad directions base on our birthdate or birthday, this is going to be determined thru our Kua number. I have written about this before, but I think it is important that this be discussed again, because this is something that is quite important and needs to be understand by everybody. It is also quite important that everyone learns how to determine their own good and bad directions. If you know this, you would have already dealt with 1/4th of your Feng Shui.compass

To achieve good Feng Shui it is important that you face your good directions when eating or working, your head should be directed towards one of those directions when sleeping, your bedroom should be in that sector of the house, and most importantly your house door or office door should be facing one of those directions.

Likewise, you should avoid the bad directions.

There are different Feng Shui schools of thought, and one of them is the Compass Feng Shui. Calculating the Kua number is a sub-thought of the Compass Feng Shui.

But before I discuss that, allow me to share the different good and bad directions.kua chart

The four different good lucks are SHENG CHI (Success), TIEN YI (HEALTH), NIEN YEN (Relationship/Love) and FU WEI (Personal Development/Growth).

SHENG CHI, which I have indicated as the ‘Success’ direction, is actually loosely translated as ‘generating chi’ or ‘generating energy’. Most Feng Shui experts and Chinese believes that this is the best amongst all the four-different luck, because this largely governs your personal success, especially in business, or if it is wealth growth and prosperity that you’re looking for. This direction also governs your ‘political’ potential. By political I don’t mean it to be the real sense of politics but more of how you handle situation in your professional life.  This is also the direction that governs your recognition luck.

TIEN YI is loosely translated as ‘heaven’s doctor’. This largely governs one’s health. If you are experiencing health problems or is afflicted with the illness star it’s best to have your head face the direction of your Tien Yi when sleeping, just make sure that the illness star is not in that direction on that particular year. This is also the direction that concerns your wealth luck, financial luck, money luck. However, Tien Yi is not only about health, it also provides medium range wealth and career luck. So, some people consider this as the second-best luck.

NIEN YEN’s loose translation is ‘descendant and longevity’, but as you can see the English translation that I indicated is RELATIONSHIP/LOVE, because this direction basically deals with primarily family relationship luck and descendant’s luck. This is also the luck that governs your all your relationship that includes love life. This is also a secondary health direction, so if you’re sick and is unable to face your Tien Yi direction, this is the second option.

FU WEI’s loose translation is ‘basic self’. This is the direction that largely governs your personal growth but is not related to career and/or financial growth. This direction is largely associated with people who need to seek enlightenment or needs to know what they want to do in life. This is also a direction that is largely beneficial to those who need to seek spirituality and clarity. If you’re going through a lot of personal problem, this is the direction to activate.

It’s quite easy for us to misinterpret that Sheng Chi is the best luck; in fact, this is the case with most Chinese and some Feng Shui experts. However, I don’t think this is the case, each of the lucky and its corresponding directions base in your Kua number serves its own purpose. For example, you may be enjoying career success and financial luck but is going through a tough personal fulfillment phase; you can activate your Fu Wei and need not concentrate too much on your Sheng Chi. You also may be a successful businessman, but your health of family life is bad, then you can activate your Tien Yi and Nien Yen respectively. It’s really finding the right balance and looking for what’s missing in your life or what would be your priority.

How do you activate these directions, it’s quite simple, you just face that direction when working and eating. When sleeping your head should be towards the direction you want to activate.

Now, the good directions are really just half of it. There are bad directions also, and in this case, it’s a perfect yin and yang concept.

Allow me to share the four bad directions.

One of these bad lucks is called HO HAI, which is loosely translated as ‘accidents and mishaps’, this is an unlucky direction in the sense that continuously confronting or activating this luck by facing its corresponding direction base on your Kua number will create some bad luck that should have been otherwise preventable. For example, you can fall off the stairs and break a leg, or through carelessness might miss out on some detail with work that might create some problem with your boss or colleagues or clients.

Another bad luck is the WU KWEI, literal translation is “Five Ghost’. This may sound scary and to some extent it is really quite scary. For people who have requested me to read their Bazi, I call this luck as ‘Personal Bad Luck’, because Wu Kwei tends to attack anything that’s quite personal. For example, if you’re a parent a child might get hurt, it can also create a lot of disharmony and quarrels both in your work place and at home. You might also have problems with fire and theft.

LIU SHA or “Six Killings’ is another bad luck. This basically attacks your career and wealth luck. Meaning, you might lose a job or get into trouble because of it. Its secondary effect is with the family, you might have a broken family or have some financial problems because of family matters like a family member that gets into gambling or an illness that will need long term care thus creating financial problems.

The last of these bad lucks is CHUEH MING, which is also directly can be translated into “Total Loss’, this may be scariest of all the bad luck direction base on your Kua number.  This is considered as the most fatal of all directions, because it might create total bad luck. Continuously facing or ‘activating’ this direction might even negate your good karma and good Feng Shui.

All these good and bad directions are based on your kua number.

Basically, your Kua number determines the lucky and unlucky directions of your life. I’ll discuss about these lucky and unlucky directions in details on my next post. But knowing your Kua number will determine whether you are an East or West group person and your corresponding lucky and unlucky directions.

The numbers one (1), three (3), four (4) and nine (9) belongs to the East Group. The numbers two (2), six (6), seven (7) and eight (8) belongs to the West Group. The number 5 (five) is replace by eight (8) for women, and by two (2) for men.

The four lucks are: SHENG CHI (Success), TIEN YI (HEALTH), NIEN YEN (Relationship/Love) and FU WEI (Personal Development/Growth).

The four bad lucks are: HO HAI (Unlucky), WU KWEI (Five Ghosts), LIU SHA (6 Killing), CHUEH MING (Total Loss).

If your Kua Number is 1 your lucky directions are – Southeast (SHENG CHI), East (TIEN YI), South (NIEN YEN) and North (FU WEI). Your unlucky directions are – West (HO HAI), Northeast (WU KWEI), Northwest (LIU SHA), Southwest (CHUEH MING).

If your Kua Number is 2 your lucky directions are – Northeast (SHENG CHI), West (TIEN YI), Northwest (NIEN YEN), and Southwest (FU WEI). Your unlucky directions are – East (HO HAI), Southeast (WU KWEI), South (LIU SHA), and North (CHUEH MING)

If your Kua Number is 3 your lucky directions are – South (SHENG CHI), North (TIEN YI), Southeast (NIEN YEN), and East (FU WEI). Your unlucky directions are – Southwest (HO HAI), Northwest (WU KWEI), Northeast (LIU SHA), and West (CHUEH MING).

If your Kua Number is 4 your lucky directions are – North (SHENG CHI), South (TIEN YI), East (NIEN YEN), and Southeast (FU WEI). Your unlucky directions are – Northwest (HO HAI), Southwest (WU KWEI), West (LIU SHA), and Northeast (CHUEH MING).

If your Kua Number is 6 your lucky directions are – West (SHENG CHI), Northeast (TIEN YI), Southwest (NIEN YEN), Northwest (FU WEI). Your unlucky directions are Southeast (HO HAI), East (WU KWEI), North (LIU SHA), South (CHEUH MING)

If your Kua Number is 7, your lucky directions are – Northwest (SHENG CHI), Southwest (TIEN YI), Northeast (NIEN YEN), and West (FU WEI). Your unlucky directions are – North (HO HAI), South (WU KWEI), Southeast (LIU SHA), and East (Chua Ming).

If your Kua Number is 8, your lucky directions are – Southwest (SHENG CHI), Northwest (TIEN YI), West (NIEN YEN) and Northeast (FU WEI). Your unlucky directions are – South (HO HAI), North (WU KWEI), East (LIU SHA), and Southeast (CHEUH MING).

If your Kua Number is 9, your lucky directions are – East (SHENG CHI), Southeast (TIEN YI), North (NIEN YEN), and South (FU WEI). Your unlucky directions are – Northeast (HO HAI), West (WU KWEI), Southwest (LIU SHA), and Northwest (CHUEH MING).

Calculating the Kua number of a guy from a girl slightly differ from each other. For the guy, what you need to do is take the last 2 digits of your birth year. Add them together and keep on adding them until you get a single digit. If you were born before the year 2000, deduct this number from the number 10, and 9 if you were born in the year 2000 or later. The result is your Kua number.

For example: 1973 (7+3=10 / 1+0=1 / 10-1=9) Kua Number is 9

For the women, you also take the last two digits of your birth year. Add them together and keep on adding until you get a single digit. Add 5 to this number if you were born before the year 2000, add 6 if you were born in the year 2000 or later. If the result is a two-digit number, keep adding it again until you again get a single digit. This is your Kua number.

Please note that if you were born before Feb. 4 of the year, your birth year is that of the year before. For example, if you were born between Jan. 1 and Feb. 3, your birth year is that of the previous year. Let’s say you were born on Feb. 3, 2000, that means your birth year is still 1999.

As mentioned you must avoid your bad directions, but the reality of life is sometimes one can’t avoid them. There are a few cures available like putting rock salt, the problem is that you have to constantly replace them and many people forgot. The past few years, I have taken into recommending some amulets and these amulets have proven to be very effective in curing the negative effects of facing wrong directions. The cures are VAJRAPANI RUEL, SURANGGAMA MANTRA AMULET, and lately Guru Lama said that the FOUR DHARMAKAYA RELIC MANTRAS AMULET & LAMA ATISHA COMBINED AMULETS is also a very powerful tool to counteract the negative effects of facing your bad directions. Please note that when it’s your bedroom door or house door that is facing the bad direction, you have to carry the said amulet and at the same time put one on the door of your bedroom or house door. The SPECIAL GOLD PIYAO is also a very good cure for this concern.

Handling Kua Direction Problems

Published Nobyembre 27, 2013 by jptan2012

Recently, Atty. B, a reader whom I’ve met in person,  got his WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT found out about his Kua number and Kua good and bad directions.

Unfortunately, Atty. B’s head is facing his bad direction and he is unable to move his bed, much more to move to another room. I received an SMS asking for a possible cure. Normally, I would insist that a person change his sleeping directions, however, I seem to sense that Atty. B is somebody who would have seriously considered it already but just can’t make any adjustments.

So for all of you who is facing the same dilemma, I suggest the following cure:

  1. Place a bowl of rock or sea salt on your headboard. If you can get Pink Himalayan Salt, all the better. The hassle here is that you have to remember to replace the salt every 2 weeks. The salt will constantly neutralize all the negative energies.

Any kind of sea salt or rock salt will do. But using Pink Himalayan Salt is the best.

  2. A cluster of amethyst or clear quartz crystal. The crystal will act as a generator of positive chi.amethyst cluster
  3. Ammonite. I’ve written about Ammonites before and if you read the article / blog post again you might be wondering as to why we one would need a wealth enhancing cure if one faces a bad direction. This is because one of the major negative effects of facing a bad direction is a financial problem. Sometimes, I can seriously impede your full wealth potential. Meaning you might have some money, but what you don’t realize is that because you faced your bad Kua direction that wealth potential that you are enjoying could be so much bigger!ammonite
  4. An image of the Goddess of the North Star or Dou Mu Yuan Jun. A small one will do but it has to be made of jade. Goddess of the North Star is said to be the mother of the entire Tai Suey god, and is the ruler of all directions. Having an image of the Goddess of the North Star on your headboard is like receiving the protective love of a celestial mother. Remember you can use a big pendant size image that is made of jade. Unfortunately, this can be hard to find.Dou Mu Yuan Jun
  5. Kalachakra Symbol. The Kalachakra is also another master protection image from Buddhism. Having the image on your headboard will provide added protection. I have written about the power of the Kalachakra several times. Although, I just realized that I never had a post solely about it. One of the best ways to understand Kalachakra is to read my post about the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT.

The Kalachakra symbol is one of the most powerful protection symbol in Buddhism. It actually consists of ten syllable mantra, with it symbolic script condensed into one. The mantra itself is HO HAM KSHAMALA VARAYA HUM PHAT. However, the mantra of the Kalachakra is never chanted without the mantra OM AH HUM. Making the complete mantra of Kalachakra - OM AH HUM HO HAM KSHAMALA VARAYA HUM PHAT. This is the reason why I decided to put the symbolic script of the mantra OM AH HUM on top of the Kalachakra symbol. As mentioned this is a very powerful protection symbol and can be likened to the Scapular of the Catholics. In fact, you'll seldom see a Tibetan Monk with wearing the symbol of the Kalachakra on their body. It may be hidden but most likely they have it somewhere on their body. But you'll never see them have the symbolic scripts tattooed because it is considered extremely bad luck to have a mantra tattooed on your body.

  6. Lastly, having unlit sandalwood incense or real sandalwood will also help negate the negative energy cause by facing the negative Kua direction.sandalwood

Note that it is necessary to have all six items there. People often ask me why do we need to have all six. The above suggestion is a product of several trial and error recommendation of my Feng Shui teacher in Hong Kong. He found that lacking an item will not work as well as having all six items. Personally, I have recommended this cure to a friend before. Since he was not able to immediately get an image of Dou Mu Yuan Jun, he confessed that it seem not to work as well as he wanted it to be. Fortunately, I came across an image of the Dou Mu Yuan Jun and gave one to him; he said he could feel the difference once he had the image of Dou Mu Yuan Jun.
