If Nothing Seems to Go Right and Everything Seems to Go Wrong in Your Life You Might Have An Afflicted Bazi! – How Chanting of Mantras and Offering of Flowers Can Help!

Published Marso 25, 2017 by jptan2012

I once had a person come to me to tell me that everything seems to go wrong with his life and nothing seems to go right. In fact, he said, everything is so wrong in his life that he really wants to commit suicide already. He is seriously contemplating taking his own life.

My first recommendation for him is to immediately get professional counseling. I’m certainly not equipped to handle this kind of case, at least, not in the perspective of professional help. I’m glad that he took my advice and has started to get better. He has become a little bit more equipped in handling his problems.

Nevertheless, he still contacted me to ask for help because while counseling has helped him get better with how he copes with his problems, the problems are still there. You see he really has a lot of problem. He lost his only child then his wife left him for another man, and she took all their savings. Furthermore, his mother got sick and paralyzed, while his father continue to launder their money for his mistress.

He certainly has a lot of problems and upon checking his Bazi Chart / Paht Chee Chart it shows that his Bazi is terribly afflicted. There were a lot of conflicting elements and signs!

It’s quite difficult to cure this kind of problem. The Vajrapani Ruel(1) may help things get better a little but it certainly will not or it will take a lot of year for it to cure the afflicted Bazi. One way to cure this is to use the Ing Deng Pay(1), which I have written before. However, the Ing Deng Pay(2) or Landlord’s Tablet is quite pricey. And this particular person is unable to afford it. And so he decided to simply get the Vajrapani Ruel(2) and resorted to chanting mantras. Told him to chant the following mantras:

MANTRA OF BODHISATTVA KUAN YIN: OM MANI PADME HUM

MANTRA OF MEDICINE BUDDHA: TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKNADZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA

MANTRA OF BODHISATTVA VAJRAPANI: OM VAJRAPANI HUM

Also told him to offer flowers and half – sack to one sack of rice everyday to the image of Bodhisattva Guan Yin (also spelled or called as Kuan Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Guan Shi Yin, Avalokitesvara, Kannon).

He followed my advice and was told that things are a little better than before.

I believe that if one has at least one powerful amulet and is sincere and is able to chant mantras at the deep meditative level, no matter how bad is your bazi is, things will get better.

If you wish to know more about the Ing Deng Pay you can read the following blog posts:

How to Help A Dying Person From Moving On To a Better Next Life!

Published Marso 3, 2017 by jptan2012

Today’s post has something to do with reincarnation. I decided to write about this because of a recent incident that I shall share with you in the next few days.

Anyway, all of us commute to work, school, meetings, malls, restaurant, etc. And we travel, some daily some not as often but all of us will be on the road at some point in our life.

When on the road, there are times that we will encounter an accident or see an accident. It’s degree of severity may vary but when we see a grave accident with people who are hurt and are about to die or has died, it will be very well for us to help them realized they’re dead so that they can easily enter samsara or move on to the next life again.

How do we do this?

For Buddhist who knows how to take refuge, mentally do it for the dying person or for the one who died. Take the refuge, and mentally say that the merit is given to those who are involved in the accident.

Chanting some mantras and imagining its energies becoming a purple ball of fire, then you mentally throwing to the dying or newly dead should help.

The mantras that you should recite are the following (please do this in the same order as it is written):

  1. OM AMI DEWA HRIH (7X)
  2. OM MUNI MUNI MAHA MUNI YE SOHA (7X)
  3. TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKNADZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA (7X)
  4. OM MANI PADME HUM (3X)
  5. OM AH KSITIGARBHA THALENG HUM (3X)
  6. OM VAJRAPANI HUM (3X)
  7. TADYATHA OM GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI SOHA (7X)

While chanting the mantras slowly imagine that the mantras are becoming a ball of purple fire or energy. After you’ve finished chanting imagine it being thrown to the dying person or to those who just died. This will help their consciousness recognized that they just died or are dying.

In Buddhism also chanting loudly the mantras of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will help the person attain a better next life.

If you have the Vajrapani Ruel(1) or Surangama Mantra Amulet(1), you can also put it on their chest or forehead, if the relatives or the authorities allowed you to do it, or at the very least pass it over them three times.

If you have the Vajrapani Ruel(2) and can’t remember all the mantras to chant, and does not feel comfortable approaching the dying person, hold it on your receiving hand (if you are right handed your receiving hand is your left hand and vice versa), and then chant OM VAJRAPANI HUM, while chanting imagine the energy coming from the Vajrapani Ruel(3) then slowly let it flow through your arms to your chest to move to your giving hand (which is your other hand) and then raise your giving hand, much like praying over somebody, then imagine the energy going to the dying person or newly dead one and let it’s energy clean it’s consciousness (or soul).

Wouldn’t it by doing this we are assuming that the person is dying (if not yet dead)? Yes it would, but the good thing doing this will cleanse its consciousness but it is also a healing act. They need the burst of energy and it might jolt them back to life.

I’m quite sure that a lot of you will be worried that by doing this the consciousness of the person might go after you, and you might attract the negative chi that cause the accident. By simply chanting the mantras, even if it is for them, you are already protecting yourself. And remember, there is no bad thing that will come out from a good thing.

Financial and Wealth Blessings From A Problematic Sale of A Property: A Personal Testimony About the Vajrapani Ruel and Other Amulets In the Words of A Reader!

Published Enero 20, 2017 by jptan2012

Busy is an understatement when it comes to describing my schedule the past few days or weeks. It’s been almost crazy, and it seems like I haven’t had any decent breakfast and lunch the past few days where I eat in the car while traveling one meeting to another.

On top of the meetings are the numbers of emails I receive both with the business, personal, and about Feng Shui or this blog. Friends and readers have been bugging to post something, but I really haven’t had time to write anything.

However, I’m really grateful with readers who take time out to share their personal testimonies and write it, because if you have notice, lately I have been posting testimonies only from readers who sent me messages either thru email or sms. And I’m thankful for those who really took time out to send me those sms and emails so I can post their stories here. The truth is there more testimonials than what I write but I simply cannot write the others because of the absence of an sms or email.

And so as I said, I’m extremely thankful to people who take time out to write me thru sms or email their personal testimonies. However, if you’re reader is like Angie, then that is heaven sent because I really don’t have to write anything anymore. She writes it so well, that I just have to copy – paste it here. And that is what I’m doing now. She actually had to send her email twice because I can’t seem to find the first email that she sent.

Like before I have taken the liberty to screen grabbed the actual email and post it here.

Do take time out to read her personal Vajrapani Ruel Miraculous Story because it is quite interesting. So without further ado, in her own words, here is Angie’s story.

Below is my email as promised. I did not include the part re my husband for privacy reasons so you can post this in your blog. Feel free to edit it if you wish so it will be shorter.

Hi JP,

After I got the Vajrapani Ruel from you last May of this year, the blessings it provided included harmony and love in my family life. (see A Reader Shares her Stories About the Vajrapani Ruel, Illness Suppression Amulet, Buddhism, and Other Things…) When one acquires the Vajrapani Amulet, known to be the most powerful amulet in the Buddhist pantheon, it is expected to give protection and financial prosperity to the person who possesses it. Your previous posts show that those who acquired it experienced receiving millions of pesos from unexpected sources.

In your above post where you featured my email, I wrote that while I did not receive my millions yet, I experienced increased harmony and love in my family life and for that I am always grateful. I even asked you later on about the person who got the Vajrapani Ruel who asked you what he should do since the financial windfall he was expecting was not happening. You said that the person made a donation to a Buddhist temple, aside from going vegan and chanting.

I did not have much funds then, so I did not make any donation but I increased vegetables in my diet and chanted once in a while. I also stopped expecting the millions that I expected to receive and focused on other things that I love doing such as my crafting hobby and painting.

Last October, my broker based in our province called me and told me that another broker wanted to talk to me regarding a farmland owned by my siblings and me, that his client wanted to buy. I have been selling that land for 5 years to several buyers but no sale has occurred because our tenant who farms the land demands half of the sale proceeds or else he will block any sale transaction. (Our Land Reform Law provides lots of favors to farmers, and this is one of them.)

All of a sudden, the sale of my communal farmland owned by my siblings and me, pushed through. After 5 years of trying to sell it; a serious buyer came forward and made a 50% downpayment to me of several millions of pesos. I take this as the effect of the Vajrapani Ruel, although it took sometime to happen. I guess it did not happen immediately after I got the amulet because a lot of things had to be ironed out first.

What I can say is that I learned a lot of lessons on spirituality during this process, i.e. lessons in forgiveness, unconditional love, letting go and letting God, generosity, being positive and prayerful, etc. I realized that I did many things that most sellers will never do such as: the tenant was asking an additional P100,000 on top of the P1 million that I was paying him and he was making the process of his releasing the land to us owners very difficult. As a matter of fact, my broker began to hate him because for 5 years he had been approaching my broker, proposing all sorts of nefarious schemes because his ultimate goal is to get the land for himself and sell it. So, I immediately approved the additional amount without any hesitation. During their negotiation, when my broker was asking him to sign the Quit Claim document, I spent the day in prayer, meditation and chanting to the Bothisattva Vajrapani. I also tithed to the religious organization where I regularly give my tithe. At first, when I got the downpayment, I did not give my tithe thinking that I will tithe when I get the balance. But I tithed 10% of my share of the downpayment to send the message of my trust to the Universe, and acted as if the tenant has signed the Quit Claim document and that the sale would be closed easily and effortlessly. I also made a donation to your temple (10% of my 5% commission on the sale proceeds) and asked you and your Guru Lama for prayers for my intention. I also got my wish to acquire the Traditional Sutra Amulets, and three more amulets that were customized for me.

In the evening of that day and the following day, I did not get any call from my broker whether the deal had pushed through. I did not call her because I was afraid of a negative message from her. When I woke up that morning, I felt that I was going to be okay even if the deal did not push through. My fear of returning the downpayment to the buyer in case the tenant refused to sign the Quit Claim document, has disappeared and replaced by an overwhelming trust in God that He will provide as He has always provided for me in the past. I felt relieved; I felt light as angel wings, releasing all my fears and worries to God.

At noon, my broker called to say that I have nothing to worry about; the tenant finally signed the document. She added that she had a heart-to-heart talk with the tenant who poured out all his fears and problems with the land because he had developed a deep love and attachment to it, having worked on it for 40 years. In the end, they are now the closest of friends (BFF, as they say.)

Thank you, JP for enabling me to acquire the Vajrapani Ruel that started all the miraculous events in my life: prospering me, balancing all areas of my life, and many more unexpected great things. I also thank your Guru Lama who prayed, and I know, continues to pray for my family and me.

In light and love,

Angie

So there goes Angie’s story. If it’s not a miracle, I don’t what it is.

My next post will be about another testimony of a reader.

You can also read the following posts about the Vajrapani Ruel:

Vajrapani Ruel

The Vajrapani Ruel looks simple, maybe even rustic, but this simple amulet is packed with a special talisman paper inside, with various ingredients, which includes Namtso Salt, soil, various herbs and plants, crystal, and a relic from a high lama. It’s important to put the ruel inside a amulet holder or something sturdy as to not ruin it. If the cloth had tear which exposes or spill the ingredients inside, the ruel becomes useless. The Vajrapani Ruel itself is only about 1 to 2 inches and it varies from one ruel to another.

The Forecasted Financial Crisis of 2016 And What We Can Do About It!

Published Oktubre 3, 2016 by jptan2012

Late last year I made some predictions base on the analysis of the year’s (2016) Bazi Chart / Paht Chee Chart. One of the more significant predictions that I had was when I said that we might experience some financial crisis or the start of a financial crisis. The truth, I made another prediction but I would rather not discuss the other one because of it may be deemed controversial but I did write about it.

Anyway, as I said I mentioned in that forecasted financial crisis seems to be happening now. Stock is it at lowest in 7 years, with the longest streak of fall in recent history. On top of that, foreign investors or businesses are already pulling out with the President of Europe Chamber of Commerce saying that they are already pulling out of the country. Add to that that for the longest time the dollar has hit above Php 49.00 again.

Is there a reason for worry? As of now, I don’t think we should go on a panic, it definitely won’t do anything. Let’s still put our hope and trust on the government and believe that they know what they are doing. Nevertheless, it is wise to exercise prudence in spending money and also in making investments.

Feng Shui wise wearing the 9 – Eyed DZI Bead with Citrine and Pi Xiu (Pi Yao, Piyao, Pixiu, Pi Xie, Pixie) is essential. Also, displaying the 3 – Legged Toads might help.

To help deflect or minimize the effect of energy of financial problem, it is highly recommended that you carry the following Buddhist items or symbols or images that serves as an amulet – Vajrapani Ruel and / or the Kalachakra Pendant made in Gold. To gain more wisdom in managing things, especially financial matters, and to put you ahead of possible hostile competitors, wearing the image of Sakyamuni Buddha (also spelled as Shakyamuni Buddha) is highly recommended.

Chanting the following mantras are also highly recommended:

  • OM MUNI MUNI MAHA MUNI YE SOHA
  • OM MANI PADME HUM
  • OM VAJRAPANI HUM
  • OM AH HUM HO HAM KSHAMALA VARAYA HUM PHAT

Furthermore, wearing the image of Bodhisattva Sangharama or other Wealth Deity Yellow Dzambhala is also highly recommended. But for this type of financial crisis, I believe one of the most effective wealth enhancing deity is Ji Gong, though not very famous wealth god called Ji Gong or Che Kong (濟公). Also spelled as Ji Kong or Che Gong. which I have written about a few years ago. You can click here to know more about him.

At the end of the day, I rally that we support the positive things that the government is doing. Realize that the government’s success should be our success also. However, we should also exercise wisdom, after all, the government is run by people who like us may be prone to errors also. So let us support but we should also let our voice be heard if you think the government is pursuing the wrong path. But in voicing our belief, first we must truly seek to understand where the government is coming from and never ever be divisive. We can have different opinions but remain in harmony.

And for a more universal cure to this concern, let us always light an incense and recite the following sutras for our government and for our world:

Chant – A – Mantra (3b): Daily Mantras to Chant – The 4 Main Bodhisattvas of Chinese Buddhism!

Published Hulyo 12, 2016 by jptan2012

In the preceding post, I briefly talked about the importance of chanting mantras daily. Sometimes, chanting mantras takes getting used to and the more we do it, the more we get used to it, the more it is easier for us to learn new mantras. But more than that, chanting mantras should be considered like taking vitamins, we have to take it everyday for us to build resistance, and in this case resistance to negative chi. Furthermore, aside from building resistance to negative chi or negative energies, chanting mantras daily makes us more attuned to the cosmic energy of the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas whose mantra we are chanting, not to mention it makes more attuned to the cosmic energy in general.

While we won’t be able to recite the entire mantras daily, because some of them are long and there are really a lot of mantras available for us. Chanting daily mantras of selected Buddhas or Bodhisattvas will also make us, as mentioned earlier, more attuned with the cosmic energy, to the divine cosmic energy of the world of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, in such a manner that when we have to chant a specific mantra for a specific purpose, because we already have a ‘relationship’ with the divine cosmic energy, it is easier for us to be attuned to the energy of the new mantra we are chanting, even this is for only a specific purpose.

Yesterday, I shared with you the initial list of the mantras I chant daily. Namely of the 3 main Buddhas of our time and they are Amitabha Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha (Sakyamuni Buddha) and the only celestial Buddha among the three, Medicine Buddha.

Note: Medicine Buddha is the simplified name. Medicine Buddha’s formal name is Bhaisajya – guru – vaidūrya – prabhā – raja or King of Medicine Master and Lapis Lazuli Light. His Tibetan common name is Bhaisajyaguru.

Today, allow me to share with you the other mantras that I chant everyday. They are 4 Main Buddha of Chinese Buddhism, especially for Pure Land Buddhism and Zen Buddhism.

Note: Zen Buddhism although has Japanese name actually started in China. It’s the English-speaking world that ‘popularized’ Zen Buddhism, but in reality it is called Chan Buddhism.

THE 4 MAIN BODHISATTVAS WHOSE MANTRAS I CHANT EVERYDAY ARE THE FOLLOWING:kuan Yin3 white

  1. NAMO DA PEI KWAN SHI YIN PU SA & OM MANI PADME HUM (Mantra of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Kuan Yin) – Kuan Yin (also known as Avalokitesvara, Kannon, and also spelled as Guan Yin, Kwan Yin, Gwan Yin) is more popularly known as the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Sometime people also refer to her as the Buddha of Compassion (although she is not a Buddha) or Goddess of Mercy (although she is also not a Goddess). I have written about Kuan Yin Bodhisattva many times, so I will put the link to those articles below. But it should be noted that perhaps Kuan Yin Bodhisattva is perhaps the most famous and most revered Bodhisattva in all lineage and school of Buddhism. She has become so famous that even the Taoist has adopted her as one of their Goddess. I personally make sure that I always chant her mantra. You can read more about Kuan Yin Bodhisattva by clicking on the links below:

  • NAMO DA YUAN DI ZHANG WANG PU SA and OM AH KSTIGARBHA THALENG HUM and OM PRA MANI DANI SOHA (Mantra of the Bodhisattva of Great Vow, Ksitigarbha) – Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is known to have committed to the Buddha that he will not enter Buddhahood unless he has freed all sentient beings from hell or from being a hungry ghost. This is his great vow. Chanting his mantra will help ensure that we are freed from suffering and help ensure a good rebirth. To under stand Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva better please read: Ksitigarbha Buddha is a Bodhisattva Who Vowed to Help All Those Who Suffer in Hell and In this World.

    Samantabhadra

    Bodhisattva Samantabhadra

  1. NAMO DA XING PU XIAN PU SA and OM AH HUM AH A KAR SA LE OD A YANG OM DU (Mantra of the Bodhisattva of Great Conduct, Samantabhadra) – Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is a Bodhisattva known for her great conduct. She is also known as the Bodhisattva of Truth, because it is her sincerest desire the real truth be exposed does she has the famous TEN GREAT VOWS OF BODHISATTVA SAMANTABHADRA, where in each item of those vows has something to do with the permanent truth of Buddhism.

    manjushri_buddhist_god_of_wisdom_eq03

Manjushri is a disciple of Sakyamuni Buddha. He is also a great Bodhisattva.

  1. NAMO DA ZHI WUN SHU SHI LI PU SA and OM A RA PA CHA NA DHI (Mantra of the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, Manjushri) – Manjushri Bodhisattva (also spelled as Manjushree) is a Bodhisattva known for his commitment to make all sentient beings attained the perfect wisdom or full enlightenment. He is usually depicted holding a sword and a sutra book. The sword represents the slashing of false knowledge, and the sutra book represents that we are only able to attained perfect wisdom with the help of the sutra or words of the Historical Buddha, Shakyamuni. Chanting the mantra of Bodhisattva Manjushri will help us attain wisdom and guide us in making our daily decisions.

So you see, aside from the mantras of the 3 main Buddhas of our time, I also chant the mantras of the 4 main Bodhisattvas of Chinese Buddhism. But that’s not all, in my succeeding posts, I will share with you the other mantras I chant everyday.

Chant – A – Mantra (1): A Reintroduction to the Wonderful Benefit of Chanting A Mantra!

Published Hulyo 5, 2016 by jptan2012

Today, I would like to start a new series about chanting mantras. I felt this is an important topic / series to write because a lot of my readers are hooked with getting amulets. I know that the Vajrapani Ruel enjoys a certain amount of popularity amongst my readers and it has garnered a lot of o personal testimonies attesting to its miraculous power and effectiveness. However, the sad truth is that the Vajrapani Ruel is quite pricey for a lot of people, and more than that it is also relatively quite limited in the sense that it is not forever that we can have it. Not to mention the difficulty in making it and smuggling it out of Tibet, which is under the Mainland Chinese (China) rule that doesn’t allow it to be made or be brought out. So if you have the Vajrapani Ruel, consider yourself to be very lucky.

But as I said, sometimes we are very caught up to having the Vajrapani Ruel that if can’t have it we sort of go into some sort of despair. That shouldn’t be the attitude because the truth is the Buddha Himself has given us enough tools to assist us in our daily life. We have the sutras and at the same times we have the mantras.

It was several years back since I first introduced the power of mantras to my readers, and I will not write about it again. If you are a new reader and is not familiar with the power of mantras, I suggest you revisit my old post about it entitled – MANTRA: THE INSTURMENT TO TAP THE POWER OF SYMBOLIC SOUND, SCRIPT, AND THOUGHT – to know more about it.

But what I would like to reiterate today is that chanting mantras, again like reciting the sutras, should be done comfortably loud. That is because of the same reasons that I have discussed in RECITE A SUTRA 6: WHY DO WE HAVE TO LOUDLY RECITE SUTRAS? However, more that the reason discussed in the preceding post, reciting it loudly also helps us get attuned with the Buddha or Bodhisattva whose mantra we are chanting.

Whenever we chant a mantra, it is like an offering to the Buddha or Bodhisattva whose mantra we are chanting, but at the same time it is also like a call for help and establishing a link or a ‘relationship’ with them.

mala

In chanting a mantra, it is best to be use a mala so that you can keep track of the number of times you’ve chanted a mantra.

Chanting a mantra can make wonders, and this blog has been testament to what are the powers of chanting a mantra can do. But now that I’m actively writing about it again, I hope to show you more of these wonderful miracles that simply chanting a mantra can do.

A lot of people are concern about properly pronouncing the mantra. I always say that they shouldn’t sweat it that much. Right pronunciation is important but it will come to you sooner or later, what is more important is the sincere heart in chanting the mantras. I suggest that you read the post entitled – A HERMIT AND A MONK: A LESSON IN RECITING YOUR MANTRA! – as to what Lama Zopa Rinpoche has to say about pronunciation of the mantras.

But what are the benefits of chanting a mantra:

  1. Protection.
  2. Wealth, financial, money blessings.
  3. Good health.
  4. Family luck and/or relationship luck.
  5. Happiness.
  6. Peace.
  7. Miracles will happen more frequently.

I also decided to write this series because the previous mantras that I have shared before are anchored on the Buddha or Bodhisattva, which is really the proper way to present a mantra. However, having a predominantly Christian reader, I felt this approach is not very effective in making you understand it. So I will present the mantras on a per need basis. And whenever possible I will still present stories, real personal testimonies of either readers or friends or families who have used the mantra. I will also present combination mantras for more effective and swifter results.

One last thing, simply chanting a mantra will have an effect, but remember, chanting it under deep meditative state give you the ultimate effectiveness.

Recite A Sutra (5): In Times of Conflict and Trouble Recite the Powerful Protector Sutra Called “THE GOLDEN LIGHT SUTRA”!

Published Hunyo 20, 2016 by jptan2012

Several years ago, kidnap – for – ransom was such a big problem in the Philippines, that when you randomly approach a Filipino – Chinese, that person will surely have a relative, or a relative of a relative, or a friend of relative, or a relative of a friend who have been a victim of kidnapping for ransom. It was such a big problem here in the Philippines, and several of kidnap victims ended being dead.

This must have been about ten to fifteen years ago.

One time I got a frantic call from a distant cousin. Apparently her father – in – law was kidnapped, and she was asking for help as to what she can do. What mantras to recite to ensure the safety of her father – in – law. I was at a lost and didn’t know how to help her and so I have to call my Guru Lama.

My Guru Lama then instructed me to ask my distant cousin to recite THE SOVEREIGN KING OF SUTRAS, THE SUBLIME GOLDEN LIGHT. The sutra is also known as the SUVARNAPRABHĀSA SUTRA, or THE KING OF GLORIOUS SUTRA, or THE SUTRA OF GOLDEN LIGHT, or what is more popularly known as THE GOLDEN LIGHT SUTRA.

THE GOLDEN LIGHT SUTRA is a long sutra but is regarded as one of the most powerful sutra by some lineages. I just would like to add a caveat that for me all sutras are equally powerful and important, it really just depends as to how you use it.

One of the more noteworthy themes of the sutra is the importance for leaders of the nations, or even businesses, or towns or cities to strive for good karma, because their karma is connected to the ones or to the nations that they lead. Because it is said their karma may lead to disaster or the blessing of an entire nation. Hence, the sutra also earned great importance or esteem as a sutra for protecting countries and is often suggested to be public read to ward off threats.

Even Lama Zopa Rinpoche gives high regard to this sutra and has numerously stated that when a person is in danger that person should recite this sutra together with THE DIAMOND OF PERFECT WISDOM SUTRA.

Because this sutra is long, if there is no emergency one can recite a few chapters at a time. However, in times of danger it is best to recite the sutra in one session.

As mentioned my Guru Lama that my cousin and her family should recite this sutra and that if possible request for a temple to chant it twice to thrice a day until they have ensured the safety of her father – in – law.

My cousin and her husband did just that. They even requested the temple of my Guru Lama to do the continuous chanting, w/c they have to make a monetary donation for the various important offerings. On the fourth day, the father – in – law rang their doorbell. They were all surprised because they haven’t paid the ransom because the ransom that they were asking for a too high and they’re unable to raise the amount yet. But from what they are able to gather from the father – in – law is that seeing his old age, he was 76 at that time, they have decided not to tie him and just lock him in a room. At first they were quite rude towards him, however, as soon as they locked him up inside a room, they’ve pretty much left him on his own. He was not released, he actually sort of escaped. I used the term “sort of” because what happened was one day he just heard a commotion, as if the people outside the room were in an emergency. After that he felt there was absolute silence and that nobody seems to be around. That’s when he tested the knob and was surprised to see that it was not locked from the outside. He then cautiously stepped out and soon realized that the kidnappers are all gone. When he step out, he debated whether to call his family or not, but like most Filipino – Chinese he erred on the side of being too cautious and decided to just try to go home on his own. He found out where he was, and because he was dirty, somebody took pity on him and decided to bring him home, but again; still fearful he said he’d just ask for money so he can take a cab. Surprisingly the person gave him more than enough money for him to go home. He then decided to take longer route and when he was sure that he was not being followed that’s when he asked to be drop off his house. They never found out who kidnapped him.

My cousin, her husband, and her in – laws, truly believed that it is because of the reciting of THE GOLDEN LIGHT SUTRA that freed the father – in – law.

Honestly speaking, although the sutra is quite long, I will always make it a point that this a sutra that I get to regularly recite at least once a week.

In fact, those of you who have the highly regarded and what is considered as the world’s most powerful amulet in the Buddhist pantheon called Vajrapani Ruel, might be happy to know that THE GOLDEN LIGHT SUTRA talked about Bodhisattva Vajrapani extensively. It is this sutra that called Bodhisattva Vajrapani as the “great general of Yakshas”. Thus when you have the Vajrapani Ruel and you recite this sutra, it will enhanced the power of your Vajrapani Ruel thus making it more effective.

Furthermore, other than Vajrapani Bodhisattva, THE GOLDEN LIGHT SUTRA talks about various others Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. But we should not be deluded into believing that this sutra is only for protection in times of trouble and conflict. Because according to Lama Zopa Rinpoche is practically for everything even for financial luck, peace, harmony, etc. Allow me to directly quote him here:

At the beginning of the Sutra of Golden Light, Buddha Shakyamuni, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Fully Enlightened, calls to anyone experiencing misery and affliction, bad health, poverty, loss, abuse, ill will, fear, nightmares, or other harms. He says to make the mind virtuous and to come and listen.

This “King of Glorious Sutras,” contains everything needed, from daily happiness to complete enlightenment. It contains a heart-rending practice of confession and rejoicing, profound teachings on dependent arising, reliable assurances of protection, guidelines for ideal government, and awe-inspiring stories of the Buddha’s previous lives, in which the Buddha shows how, even before he had completely eliminated the delusions, he liberated countless beings from the ocean of suffering through compassion and personal courage.

See how powerful it is. Hope this sutra brings you blessings and protection like it did to so many people. I will share other stories about this sutra in the future. In the mean time you can download the sutra by clicking here: The Golden Light Sutra.

Note: Light an incense while reciting this sutra will help double the merits of the act.

But remember, as always when reciting a sutra one has to chant 3x NAMO FUNDAMENTAL TEACHER SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA

Followed by the Sutra Opening Gatha:

The Dharma Infinitely Profound and Subtle

Is Rarely Encountered Even In A Million of Kalpas

We Are Now Able to Hear, Recite, and Follow It

May We Fully Realized the Tathagatha’s True Meaning

Then recite the sutra!
