Do We Really Need Amulets? And Why Are REAL Amulets so Pricey?

I’m a strong advocate of real amulets and a firm believer of one. In fact, a lot of times amulets has become my ‘security blanket’, something that I really need to be able to help me go through my day or week. In fact, last 2016 I greatly relied on amulets to protect myself from bad the effects of the bad stars.

But the question is whether do we really need amulets and why are real amulets so pricey?

Allow me to answer the first question first. Do we really need amulets?

To answer that question allows me to share you the story of somebody who may be familiar already to my readers. BM is a reader who became a friend. She is successful and regardless of what happens she seems always at peace. She may get frazzled a little but it doesn’t really last long. I have featured BM on this blog several times and it would be nice if you read some of the articles that I have written about her.

BM is successful, rich, businesswoman and sure enough she has the Vajrapani Ruel(1), the Surangama Mantra Amulet(1), the Illness Suppression Amulet(1), the Traditional Sutra Amulets(1) and a whole lot more. But truth be told, if you were to ask me what are the causes of her success, I wouldn’t put the use of amulets and Feng Shui as top.

So what do I think are the causes of her success?

First, her spirituality. I will not describe her as religious. At least, not in the sense of the word on how we describe it. She goes to church everyday, she hear mass everyday, she prays the rosary and do novenas everyday. In fact, she prays the rosary more than once everyday. And yes to some extent she can be described as religious, but she is really more than that. She is spiritual. Religion for her goes much more deeper that the essence of the word. And you know what is really fascinating about her? She never or seldom prays for herself. Her prayers are always for other people. With or without problems she goes to church and says her prayers, maybe even more so when everything is good. This is I think is the first ingredient of her success.

Second, she has a good heart and is very compassionate. She is compassionate; many times she has shared with me whether directly or indirectly how it is to be truly compassionate. And she really has a good heart. I know she gives to charity only because there are times that it is unavoidable for her to share it with me, which is done in the process of sharing with me some lessons. A truly compassionate person will always be blessed.

Third, she works really hard. She is intelligent, but more than that she works really hard. When I went to see her, one of her staff told me that her boss, BM, is really hardworking. In fact, she rarely goes home before sunset.

I think those are the main ingredients of her success. But more than her success she has a good family life also and I can see her husband is still ‘madly’ in love with her. I haven’t really had a long interaction with her children, but they seem to be respectful children. Mind you, they should already be in their rebellious stage.

The amulets for her are simply just an added protection or enhancer, and it is not the main ingredient of her good life. In a way, the amulets are simply an added sugar.

Note: Remember that Feng Shui consists of Heaven’s Luck, Man’s Luck and Earth’s Luck!

Allow me to share something else with you. The Buddhist monks or nuns rarely carry with them any amulets, aside from the powerful protective symbol Kalachakra. While I know that the Dalai Lama, and the Karmapa, while escaping the Chinese government did carry an amulet they seldom carry one all the time. The Dalai Lama carried an unknown amulet, and the Karmapa is said to have carried a Vajrapani Ruel(2) with him. But other than that, Buddhist monks and nuns don’t carry amulets with them, or if they do it is limited to one piece only. But, of course, most of them do meditations and chanting of mantras and reciting of sutras and do various rituals more than half of their day, everyday!

So to answer the question whether does we really need amulets, my response would be NO. It helps. It helps a lot. For some people and in some circumstances it may be essential, but if we get to the bottom of it, if we have a strong relationship with the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas, or Taoist Gods, or for Christians to your Lord, or for Islam’s to Allah then my answer is no. There is no denying that amulets like the Vajrapani Ruel(3) has helped a lot of people, but there are people who have survive without it. At the end of the day, have a strong faith, be truly compassionate, and work hard both for your career and for your relationships, and you’ll find things will be going smoothly.

Now, then the second question is why are real amulets really pricey?

First, take note of the keyword real. Real powerful amulets are seldom massed produce. Sure they can make more than 1,000 pieces per batch, it is seldom made out of a machine. They are always made by hand. A real amulet is made several days and will be mostly likely involves being made inside a temple, in front of Buddha or a Bodhisattva and should include some relics has part of the ingredient (like the Vajrapani Ruel4) or at the very least being consecrated in front of a relic. It is definitely made by a trained Buddhist Monk and cannot be made by ordinary practitioner. Sometimes, it will include some rituals outside the temple, but will definitely include a process being done inside the temple.

The Jatukam involves some rituals by the sea and mountains. And has a relic from the temple being included in the process. They make several thousand pieces by the batch and sometime take awhile before they can make the next batch. The Vajrapani Ruel(5) involves a relic of a high lama, and can never be made without it, so the last time it was made was a little more than half – a – century ago. This batch that we have now has about a little more than 1,000 pieces but it is considered limited because we don’t know when it is going to be made again. And it can only be made in certain places in Tibet.

The Illness Suppression Amulet(2), and the others are not as difficult to make, but still they are made or consecrated only by a lama that is recognized to have the capabilities of invoking the energies of the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas to make the amulet holy and become an extension of the Buddha or Bodhisattva whose essence is being invoked.

Furthermore, while making it is customary to offer a fruits, vegetables, flowers, incense, and oil lamps. So when acquiring an amulet, this is what you pay for. But that’s not what makes it pricey.

It is also customary to give a ‘donation’ to the monk who made it. But this is a misnomer because in truth the money doesn’t go to the one who made the amulet but rather it goes to the temple, for the building of additional temples or halls, for images of the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas or for feeding the monks.

In the case, of the Vajrapani Ruel(6), Illness Suppression Amulet(3), the Avatamsaka Amulets(1) the Traditional Sutra Amulets(2) and other amulets, the money goes to the offerings of fruits, incense, vegetables, flowers, oil lamps, etc. But more than that it goes to acquiring of the image of a Buddha or Bodhisattva that goes to a hall in a temple that is being built in India (for the Vajrapani Ruel(7) a big chunk of the money goes back to Tibet in helping the people there who are oppressed by the Chinese government) and it becomes a perpetual offering of the person who acquired the amulet.

These are the things that make a real amulet quite pricey.

Chant – A – Mantra (3a): Daily Mantras to Chant!

One of the most common questions that people ask me is what mantra to chant for specific things. However, I would like to state that if you chant mantras only in time of need, then you are not fully utilizing the power of mantras. I agree that there are mantras or combination mantras that one can chant in specific time of need. But mantras should be treated like vitamins. You have to ‘take’ it everyday so you develop resistance to negative energies or negative chi. Taking it at the time of need might not be very swift.

So the next question is what mantra to chant everyday. Today allow me to share with you the mantras that I chant everyday. Some of the mantras in the list were mantras that my Guru Lama told me to chant, the others are from various Buddhist monks or nuns, and the others are those that I felt I needed to chant everyday. You can come out with your own list, but these are find are very powerful when chanted everyday.

MANTRAS OF THE 3 MAIN BUDDHAS OF OUR TIME:

The 3 Main Buddhas of Our Time. The one in the center is Shakyamuni Buddha, (left side) Amitabha Buddha, (right side) Medicine Buddha.

  1. NAMO AMITUOFO & OM AMI DEWA HRIH (Mantra of Buddha Amitabha) – Amitabha Buddha is one of the 3 main Buddhas of our time. Amitabha used to be human eons and eons ago. When Gautama Siddhartha or Shakyamuni Buddha (Sakyamuni Buddha) was about to reach enlightenment, it was Amitabha Buddha who sent the most powerful Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva Vajrapani, to protect Sakyamuni Buddha. His mantra is very good for protection and over – all auspiciousness. Normally, when a person is about to passed away, Pureland Buddhist and Zen Buddhist will chant his mantra so that the person will be reborn in the Pure Land, which is Amitabha’s dwelling place that can be akin to Heaven.
  2. NAMO PEN SHI SI CHIA MONI FO & OM MUNI MUNI MAHAY MUNI YE SOHA (Mantra of Buddha Shakyamuni) – Sakyamuni Buddha is the Historical Buddha because he is a Buddha who lived during our time. To draw parallelism, he is like Jesus Christ, who became a human being. Although Buddhism under Buddha Sakyamuni started about 500 – 2000 years before Christianity did. Chanting his mantra, will help you attain enlightenment faster and will also provide wisdom. Also it will help you understand the Dharma(s) faster.
  3. NAMO XIAO TSAI YEN SHOW YAW SHI LIO LI KUANG DRU LIE or TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA (Mantra of Medicine Buddha) – Medicine Buddha is the only Buddha amongst the three that is a Celestial Buddha. Meaning he is the only Buddha that has never assumed a human form. As the name implies, chanting his mantra will help cure diseases and prevent illnesses or provide you with health luck. However, what most people don’t know is chanting his mantra will also provide protection from accidents and will also provide wealth luck or financial luck. (If you can only chant three mantras a day, please make sure you chant their mantras.)

Recite A Sutra (6): Why Do We Have Loudly Recite Sutras?

One of the most common question people ask me is as to why do we need to recite sutras loudly? And is silently reciting it will not have any effect?

First, the Buddha or Shakyamuni (also spelled as Sakyamuni) Buddha himself said that merely having a sutra around us would already have some effect. Or simply holding a sutra will already give us some blessing; so silently reciting it will definitely have some merits that may translate to wonderful blessings.

But why do Buddhist monks encourage us to chant it loudly or with voice? The truth is I myself believe in loudly reciting the sutra. And by loudly I don’t mean that we have to recite it at the top of our voice, but we don’t murmur either, it has to be recited with voice and as comfortably loud as possible. The key word here is comfortable. I believe in this because it is what my Guru Lama told me to do, and as my study about Buddhism went deeper I began to see the merit in loudly reciting the sutra, and I also saw that it is what the Buddha himself taught us to do, and it is what the Buddha also did when He still has a physical body.

But again why do we have to do it?

Buddhists believe in unseen entities and hungry ghosts. These unseen beings may be former humans or other spirit beings. They are simply around us, even though we don’t see and feel them. However, they may see or feel us.

We recite the sutra loudly primary because of them. Some of these beings lives in a lower realm, and they might not be able to access sutras. By loudly reciting a sutra they get to ‘hear’ the sutra and learn more about Buddhism. We even bless them simply by loudly reciting a sutra. And by blessing them we also get to gain more merits. And by continue reciting the sutra loudly, we might even help these beings get reborn in a better realm, and if we become that channel we will also gain bigger merits.

Furthermore, by loudly reciting the sutras, we vocally utter the very words of the Buddha, and even if it has been translated to English or any other language, there are still some degrees that those are the very words of the Buddha some 2,500 to 3,000 years ago. And simply doing that Heavenly Beings gets attracted by those words and listen to us, thus they hover over us and they also become instruments in giving us more blessings. They will ‘conspire’ to do what is best for us.

The above two reasons are what the Buddha Himself said in His sutras. So you see, whether we recite it loudly for heavenly beings to ‘bless’ us, or we recite it loudly to help bless those in the lower realms, at the end either of the two we still get blessed!

I know that when reciting the sutras, some people find it quite weird, because it is like reading a storybook. In a way it is because we get to read the real stories of what happened before and what the Buddha directly taught His disciples. But that’s the beauty of it, because we get to ‘witness’ thru reading the Buddha’s ways.

One reason I started this ‘Recite A Sutra’ series is because I believe you, as a reader will get a lot of blessings if we simply recite a sutra. The blessings that we get in reciting a sutra may vary from wealth luck to financial luck or money luck, or from family luck to descendant luck. The protection luck that we get is also enormous, regardless of the sutra that we recite.

But of course it is very important that we treat the sutra, no matter if the printing is bad, as a very holy object that it is.

Do Not Cut Your Mala Bead Even If The Thread Is About To Break!

Several weeks ago I got a frantic call from a friend who said she has been experiencing a lot of bad luck lately. The first thing I asked her is whether she made some renovations, because I’m familiar with her house and office and I have done some Feng Shui audit on them. She clarified that they have not made any renovations, and so I had to recheck her Bazi /Paht Chee chart but there is simply nothing in her chart that indicates as to why she is having a series of bad luck.mala bead2

I did an oracle for her, but because I’m clueless the oracle that I did is really broad. Nevertheless, the oracle indicates that her bad luck has stemmed out of something that she did. And so she has to rack her brain and think about as to what bad things she has done, and she simply can’t remember anything because according to her she really tries her best to be good. Without knowing as to what the cause is, I decided to ask her to simply get a Vajrapani Ruel, because the Vajrapani Ruel is an amulet that helps protect you from negative energies or chi, especially the one that you don’t know what really the cause is. While the Vajrapani Ruel has a lot of wealth luck, or money luck, or financial luck testimonials from other readers, it is primarily a protection amulet.

Before we parted, because we haven’t seen each other for a long time, we decided to chat a little more. I told her about the new online crystal store that I discovered, and she told me that she is still using the Mala Beads (Buddhist prayer beads) that I gave her before every day for chanting mantra. She then said that it was restrung because the old string is almost breaking, and she is afraid that it might break while she is chanting her mantras! Voila! I now know the cause as to why is having some bad luck! She had to cut the old string of her Mala Beads before it even give out on its own!

What she did was a terrible blunder. Do not cut your mala beads before it give out on its own. If you think it’s about to break take extra precautions only to make sure that you don’t lose any of the beads. But wait for it to break on its own do not cut it, because breaking it signifies that you are cutting all the good energies that goes with it throughout the years that you are using it.

The next question is wouldn’t it bring bad luck it break while you are using it? The answer to that is not! It’s a natural occurrence and breaking comes with time. In fact, some Buddhist monks or Buddhist nuns even believe that when it break, the Buddha or Bodhisattva name or mantra you are chanting at that moment is showing you that they are breaking the bad luck from the good luck. Thus it is important to replace it on the same day that it breaks. Personally, I don’t know whether this is true or not because some Buddhist monks or nuns, especially the one in the Zen tradition doesn’t believe this.

If you live in a place where replacing the Mala Beads (Buddhist Prayers Beads) is not easy, I would suggest getting one in advance and put it on your altar or a safe secure place for safekeeping and take it out once the need arises.

Going back to my friend, well, she is just happy that the Vajrapani Ruel took away all her bad luck!

Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?

Why bad things happen to good people? This is perhaps one of the most common questions that people ask me. Most recently a relative asked me this question also. In fact, in a lot of my emails or conversations with readers, especially lately where a lot of people has been requesting for what is the most powerful Buddhist amulet called Vajrapani Ruel, which in such a short time has enjoyed several personal testimonies like how a 47 – year – old single mother got the much needed financial help (VAJRAPANI RULE STORIES 4) and how a man got his land back after a 20 – year – old legal battle (VAJRAPANI RUEL STORIES 2), this is the question that people asked. It may come in different various statements, but at the end that is the most common question: WHY BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?

The truth is there is no clear answer as to why this happen, but if you ask Buddhist monks, they all have similar answers. Buddhist monks will always tell you that if bad things happen to you, all you have to realized is that…

It’ time to create new karma.

Also, I believe that all of us have to remember that not all bad things are bad, and not all good things are good. For example, you are healthy and rich, and you have so many wonderful friends that surround you. That is good, right?

Before you answer, let me continue. Then all of a sudden you got really sick, you have to be hospitalized and you started to lose your money and your friends. All of a sudden you are not very rich anymore. That is bad, right?

But, because of this, you begin to be more appreciative of the simple things, and most of all, you used to have (hypothetically) you have 1,000 friends before and that number is now down to a single true friend. Is that good or bad?

The Vajrapani Ruel Stories (3): Early Karmic Death was Erased with Good Deeds and the Vajrapani Ruel

In my post called THE WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL AMULET IN THE BUDDHIST PANTHEON CALLED VAJRAPANI RUEL, I mentioned how I’ve always wanted and desired to get the Vajrapani Ruel, which is technically not an amulet. It is generally called an amulet for the lack of term, but it is one of the highest and most powerful forms of amulet in the world. It is an ‘amulet’ that proves to be one of the most difficult to acquire. In fact, the last time it was made was 40 to 50 years ago.

The Vajrapani Ruel looks simple, maybe even rustic, but this simple amulet is packed with a special talisman paper inside, with various ingredients, which includes Namtso Salt, soil, various herbs and plants, crystal, and a relic from a high lama. It's important to put the ruel inside a amulet holder or something sturdy as to not ruin it. If the cloth had tear which exposes or spill the ingredients inside, the ruel becomes useless.

The Vajrapani Ruel is just one of 3 different known ruels in the world, and it is said that the Vajrapani Ruel is the most powerful ruel. Not only is it a protective ruel, but it is also a wish and wealth granting ruel.

According to my Guru Lama, I may be the very first person to write about the Vajrapani Ruel for the general public. Meaning on the net. There are some very rare and quite few books written about the Vajrapani Ruel in Tibetan, and ironically in Chinese. I say, ironic because the Chinese government is one reason why the Vajrapani Ruel and other Buddhist holy objects and amulets are even rarer and really scarce these days. In fact, some Buddhist monks, specially the younger ones, might have heard of it but has not actually seen one.

However, I was surprised that when I wrote about the Vajrapani Ruel, there are a few friends and fellow Buddhist students from Malaysia and Singapore who contacted and expressed their excitement about the Vajrapani Ruel. Maybe it is not as ‘unknown’ as my Guru Lama thought it is to be.

One of my Nepalese – Chinese friends from Singapore shared with me a story, which was supposedly shared with him by his grandmother. The story was shared with him because his grandmother was the one who first told him about the Vajrapani Ruel and she also kept on telling my friend to find and get one if he can.

Today, allow me to share that story with you. Please note that given the story was only transmitted orally to my friend who shared it with me also, I cannot vouch for the 100% accuracy.

According to my friend’s grandmother (GM), as told to me by my friend, she first heard about the Vajrapani Ruel when she was a young girl in Nepal. The eldest grandson (EGS) of the their family, which is GM’s cousin, was committed by their grandparents to become a monk. So at the young age of 4 or 5, according to my friend there are times that GM will say 4 but there are times that she will say it’s 5, he was sent to the monastery where GM’s and EGS’s eldest uncle was also a monk (UM/Uncle Monk).

The Venerable Abbot of the said monastery and temple was an enlightened man who has psychic abilities. He was able to divine that EGS will not become a monk because he is destined to die at the age of 7 because of bad karma that he earned in his previous life. However, he also felt that he should still accept him so that he can help prepare EGS for his next life. Venerable Abbot confided this to UM, and they decided that when the time comes, they would send EGS back home for a ‘vacation’ so that he can spend time with his family. They’re doing this because they don’t want EGS’s family to be heartbroken.

Soon the time of his supposed death was about to arrive. So Venerable Abbot and UM decided to send EGS home, but before it happened, Venerable Abbot confided to another old monk about the situation. The old monk then told Venerable Abbot that he would be willing to share his Vajrapani Ruel to EGS, that it may aide him to get a better next life because the Vajrapani Ruel also helps cleanse bad karma.

So EGS was sent back home for a 3 – month long vacation, because as divine by the Venerable Abbot, EGS shall passed on the last week of his 3rd month ‘vacation’ in his family home. To get the Vajrapani Ruel, they decided to tell the family of EGS to bring EGS back to them after the end of the third month. But at that time they decided not to tell EGS’s family what the Venerable Abbot has foreseen.

At the end of the third month, UM will always wait for his brother or any of his family members to go the monastery and temple to inform them of EGS’s death. Then on his 3rd or 4th day of waiting of a family member, he did see his brother, EGS’s father coming, but much to his surprised EGS was with him.

UM was really surprised because their Venerable Abbot is known for his the accuracy of his divinations and he really couldn’t believe that Venerable Abbot will fail in his divination of EGS’s karmic death. Soon, Venerable Abbot did another divination, and saw that indeed his bad karma of an early death has been erased. He also saw that the Vajrapani Ruel didn’t actually changed his life but it did enhanced a good deed of the boy that lead him to eradicate his bad karma.

Venerable Abbot interviewed EGS and asked him what he did when he went home. EGS was unable to share anything specific as to what could have changed in his karma. In fact, he and his father said that aside from doing his duties to chant the mantras, he will just simply go out and play in the pond or lake or the woods everyday, he was just being a boy and sometimes he will help his parents with their chores. Venerable Abbot didn’t think that helping do the household chores is enough good karma to erase his bad karma of an early death. But they were unable to get anything out from the boy and so they just let it go.

Several weeks after EGS went back to the monastery, he asked permission to go to the nearby pond. When asked why, EGS replied that when he went back home for his vacation, he noticed that their pond is full of ants, and a lot of times several of these ants will fall off the water. He felt bad for them so he would save as many as he can. He then said, that while playing in the lake, he would also make sure that the little insects will not fell go near the water so that they won’t drown, furthermore, he’ll sometimes go into the woods to pick up fruits the fell off the trees to feed the various insects.

In Buddhism, all animals or insects are considered to have precious life. So by saving an ant tantamount to saving a life, and thus creates good karma.

That’s when the Venerable Abbot realized what saved EGS. His good deeds and compassion towards the insects earned him a lot of good karma, and because he has the Vajrapani Ruel at that time, which has the ability to erase bad karma and enhanced good karma, EGS’s karmic death was erased. According to GM, although she has lost touch with her family in Nepal, she believes that EGS who is a few years younger than her is now still a monk in Nepal. The last time she heard EGS was the assistant to the new Venerable Abbot.

This is proof that having the Vajrapani Ruel really helps in making a better life possible.

Namtso Salt: A Rare Buddhist Artisan Salt Used for Protection from Negative Energy and for Enhancing Wealth Luck!

Despite being one of the largest salt-water lakes in Asia, Namtso is still relatively an unknown name to most people. But from this unknown lake comes one of the rarest Buddhist artisan salts that are good in combating and protecting us from negative chi and also helps generate wealth luck.
Namtso Lake is more popularly known as the ‘Heavenly Lake’ and is considered as the third holiest lake in Tibet. It is also the largest salt-water lake in Tibet.
Before China invaded Tibet, Namtso Lake is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites; inspite of it’s relatively being inaccessible. The famous Tashi Dor monastery is located at the southeastern corner of the lake. Now it has simply become a tourist spot because the Chinese government has disallowed that it be considered a pilgrimage and holy site. namsto.4
I’ve never been to Namtso Lake, but according to my Guru Lama, Namtso Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes one can ever see. Its water is turquoise in color giving it a look of an ocean. It is believed that Namtso Lake has been an apparition site of various Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, namely, Avalokitesvara (Kuan Yin in her original form), White Dzambhala, Medicine Buddha. Furthermore, it is said the Guru Rinpoche himself has declared the lake to be holy.
There is no clear history as to when it started but Namtso Lake being a holy salt-water lake, gave rise to one of the most powerful salt in combatting negative energy and helping to enhance wealth luck.
Namtso Salt is a whole round chunk of salt as big as a small baby’s head. It is usually process in a clay pot and is considered as one of the purest salt. Placing the Namtso salt in a room will protect the room from negative chi. It is extremely advisable for one to use Namtso Salt if one doesn’t know whether a Feng Shui of the room is good or bad. Furthermore, a Namtso Salt that has been blessed by a monk can drive away evil spirits.
Aside from driving away evil spirits and protecting us from negative chi, Namtso Salt placed on the center table of the living room and on the dining table acts as a very potent wealth enhancer. According to my Guru Lama, he personally witnessed this when a 2nd generation Tibetan refugee migrated to Singapore to seek for greener pastures. However, after 2 years of staying in Singapore he was unable to improve his life and has not been able to send a single centavo to his family in India. Worst, he is not even able to send letters because he was so poor that he doesn’t have money for postage and of course, emails is out of the question. Out of frustration, he seeks out the help of a monk who happens to be a student of my Guru Lama. This particular young monk then brought his story to the attention of my Guru Lama. My Guru Lama then decided to do a special puja for him, but since he has a small chunk of Namtso Salt with him, he decided to bless it and gave it to the Tibetan refugee. His luck then has since has a great turn around, it has been 10 years since it happened, and he has now went back home to India where he now has his won business. He got his capital in Singapore and has largely recognized that his luck started to change for good after he received the Namtso Salt.
Making the Namtso Salt is a very tedious process, and takes months before one is finally available.
First, Buddhist monks usually gathered fallen woods from the forest. They will the soak the woods in the Namtso Lake for 6 months. After 6 months, they will then chop the woods into smaller chunks and dry them out under the sun. The process usually takes up to 5 days. Then they will slowly burn the said wood, once the wood is burnt into ashes they will then put more Namtso Lake salt water and put it into clay pots. That’s when they’ll cook the salt. To my knowledge, there is only one other place who do a similar artisan salt this way, and that’s here in the Philippines. Bohol also has a similar process, but unlike the Namtso Salt the one in Bohol is made for cooking.
In using the Namtso Salt as a protection against negative energy or to drive away evil spirits, it’s advisable to place one whole Namtso Salt in each room of the house or in the room where the evil spirit dwells. If you’re confined in a hospital, it’s also good to bring one whole Namtso Salt and place it in your hospital room.
Breaking a Namtso Salt into smaller pieces can also act as protection amulet. Again it will drive away evil spirits and protect us from negative energy. It is recommended when carried on as an amulet, place a small chunk (about the size of a tablespoon) in a red cloth and carry it with you. Carrying when going to the yin places like cemeteries, hospitals, etc. will also protect us from the yin energy of the place. These small chunks will also act as a micro wealth luck enhancer.
As mentioned, to use the Namtso Salt as wealth enhancer, one can place it on the dining table and on the center table of the living room.
Placing a whole Namtso Salt on the front door will repel all negative energies, and putting them inside the toilet, will help alleviate the negative energies cause by having a toilet in that section of the house.
Taking a Namtso Salt bath is also the most effective salt bath. One you can do is get a small chunk about a size of a tablespoon and put it in the tub.
China’s invasion of Tibet has made the making of the Namtso Salt even more difficult. It was already extremely difficult to make a batch of Namtso Salt before but it was even harder now, so much so that per batch of Namtso Salts are only made every 10 to 15 years. Furthermore, this is usually smuggled out of Tibet because the Chinese government in an effort to stop Buddhism has also made it illegal to make and export Namtso Salts out of Tibet.
A very limited number of Namtso Salts is being made available for the readers of this blog thru the kindness of my Guru Lama. Proceeds of the sale of the said Namtso Salts are to be given to either for the food of the Buddhist monks or to Tibetan refugees. However, because of the bulkiness of the Namtso Salts, there will only be limited areas or countries that can receive them. Also, for shipments we might have to do it by bulk.
