Myth Buster 26: Pregnant Women Should Bathe In The Afternoon To Prevent Evil Spirit From Causing Harm To The Baby!

Published Hunyo 21, 2015 by jptan2012

Pregnant womanWell, technically this is not a myth but neither it is connected to evil spirits. It is true that in the olden days before the invention of air conditioner, pregnant women are regularly advised to bathe in the afternoon. Why?

Because the temperature is usually warmest after lunch, and the heat might further elevate the already elevated body temperature of the pregnant woman, and this might cause hypertension or heat stroke that might affect the baby or the mother.

Learning to Love the Summer Heat!

Published Abril 7, 2014 by jptan2012

sunshineIt’s now summer in the Philippines, although it’s a weird one because of pending typhoon, no one can deny that the summer heat is already here. In fact, the heat is so bad that the water level in Angat Dam, which supplies water in the whole of Metro Manila, is threatening to dry up.

I personally don’t like summer. I’m the type of person who loves cold weather. However, whenever I remember that with the summer heat comes the summer intense sunshine and with it also comes the yang energy of the sun! This is a good time for people to tap into the power of the sun to reenergize ourselves with yang energy, especially for those who are suffering from a series of bad luck.

It’s quite simple. Simply take a walk or do outdoor exercises or yoga or simply bathe yourself with the energy of the morning sun. The best time is between 6am and 9am! While doing it, imagine yourself being cleansed with the healing energy of the sun!

This technique is so simple and best of all its free! Just make sure you don’t burn yourself too much!
