Tragedy this Hungry Ghost Month: 2017 Forecast Coming to Fruition?

Published Agosto 31, 2017 by jptan2012

I think it was late last year or early this year that I wrote my forecast for year 2017! One of the forecast is that calamity will happen this 3rd quarter or 4th quarter of 2017. If it happens on the 4th quarter of 2017 it will certainly start or be precipitated this 3rd quarter.

As we all know there is this calamity in Houston, Texas in USA. Hurricane Harvey brought massive rain that rivers overflowed so much that it is now officially been confirmed that it was the worst tragedy to happen in Houston in more than a century! Worst calamity in more than a 100 years! Add to that natural disaster is the disaster that it was said that the Trump US government was not ready for this calamity because of the fact that the two agencies involved in this kind of situation is at the present still unoccupied. To add to that tragedy, Joel Osteen, the Christian preacher and author of several books who has a house worth US$ 10.5 Million and has a large stadium that can fit thousand and thousands of people refuses to open its door for those who were displaced. This for me is worse than any natural disaster, for one person able to help somebody but refuses to do so.

Before Harvey, Typhoon Hato devastated Hong Kong and Macau, thousands were also displaced, this was one of the worst typhoon Hong Kong and Macau has seen in 50 years!

Isn’t it ironic that two natural calamities occurred in a span of two days at two different continents and they’re both ‘record breaker’ in terms of the devastation that they brought? And these things happened both during the Hungry Ghost Month which was preceded by the total solar eclipse!

But for me the biggest tragedy is still about to happen but it has already started when North Korea fired that missile that arced over Hokkaido even it eventually fell of the ocean. It was a clear provocation against Japan and the US who is currently having a joint training. It was not clear why neither Japan and the US didn’t intercept the said missile, but speculations say they avoided being embarrassed which means that they might be ready to intercept such a close encounter. Today, (time of writing is usually not the time of posting) North Korea has announced that the Japan missile is just a prelude to a Guam missile. While this incident doesn’t seem so tragic now, political analysts are already bracing themselves for an even bigger tragedy of worldwide consequence. It is pretty obvious that with Trump at the helm of things in America, he will not like to be bullied, much less by an Asian, and for somebody like him who seems to have strong racist tendencies, he will have taken as a direct provocation. Japan will definitely have to act on this also. We just hope that cooler heads prevail coupled with wisdom and humility and that the leaders doesn’t turn this into an arm – wrestle to determine who is more macho.

Several readers has contacted me asking whether these things are the ‘catastrophe’ that I have written about in my forecast for the year, and whether these things were aggravated by the Total Solar Eclipse on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Month.

I think these tragedies are what I said about the ‘catastrophe’ that will happen or start to happen on the 3rd quarter of the year. But what I’m afraid of is that there is more. I am not trying to be a prophet of doom, but modesty aside I have quite a high rate of accuracy when it comes to forecast. For example, I was the only Feng Shui writer who clearly indicated that there is going to be tragedy in Visayas that will cause famine when Typhoon Haiyan / Typhoon Yolanda happened, to the earthquake in Nepal, to the financial crisis. As early as middle of last year I Have forecasted that the US dollar would hit to more than 50 Philippine pesos. I said it might stabilize at 52 Philippine pesos but may hit as high as 54 Philippine pesos.

I’m saying these not to brag because my high rate of accuracy is not because I’m psychic but because it is of the accuracy in the interpretation of the ‘stars’ for the year, but that we should take these seriously. In the Philippines, we should also expect something to happen which is brewing already. This might ‘blow on our face’ either towards the end of the year or early next year.

And we are talking about this and saying we must take this seriously so that we can all be prepared, and we should all start praying. I believe and know that prayer works and so it is important to pray for our country and for this world.

In the meantime, on a personal level, the effect of the total solar eclipse on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Month could be some personal financial difficulty or illness. When this happens, it can continue until the end of the year. It is best to protect oneself with prayers or with powerful amulets like the Vajrapani Ruel or a gold Kalachakra pendant. My Guru Lama foreseeing this concern, has also recently released the Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet that is suppose to address this concern. The Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet is a powerful wealth amulet.

The Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet: An Introduction to a Very Powerful Wealth Amulet!

Published Agosto 30, 2017 by jptan2012

In my previous post I talked about the Four Heavenly Kings, which are actually Buddhist Gods. If you haven’t read that post, I suggest go and read it first for you to truly understand this post better. Read it by clicking here.

One of the most common concern of people in the past, in the present, and I presume in the future is financial stability. In Buddhism, money is not evil; in fact, one sign of a blessed life is having money. Nevertheless, what we do with the money is what determines evil or good, but that is a topic for another post.

After some discussion, Guru Lama has told me to write about The Four Heavenly Kings and today’s post so that people will know that in the midst of what seems like a worldwide phenomenon of financial problem or struggles, there is still something that we can do so that we don’t get pulled into the mud of financial struggle. In the Philippines, a lot of people are complaining about the continuous weakening of the Philippine peso, and while we can complain and complain, in reality we should all strive to work harder, pray harder, and gather our inner strength to fight this concern.

A famous Feng Shui expert has talked about King Vaisravana or Namtose (Namthose) already, and it is largely because of this also why Guru Lama has said that I should start writing about the Four Heavenly Kings and to write this post, to really put everything in the perspective that he felt it should be written. Note though that this is just how Guru Lama wants it put and that although we don’t know in detail what was said about King Vaisravana, I’m writing it in a way that Guru Lama thinks is the best way to explain it.

Note: The post about the Four Heavenly Kings and this post have both been reviewed first by Guru Lama prior to posting.

Guru Lama felt it is only proper to talk about the Four Heavenly Kings first to disabuse the notion that in Buddhism, our gods are all about money.

In the preceding post about the Four Heavenly Kings, I mentioned that King Vaisravana the head of all the Four Heavenly Gods is wealth god himself, and that he rules over all Yaksas (also spelled as Yaksha), and amongst these Yaksas are the Dzambhalas or the Five Dzambhalas (also spelled as Dzambala, Jambhala, Jambala, Zambala, Zambhala). In this blog, I have already talked about Yellow Dzambhala and White Dzambhala, but as instructed by Guru Lama, allow me to talk about all the 5 Jambhalas again.

First, what are the Jambhalas?

Jambhala (again also spelled as Dzambhala, Dzambala, Jambala, Zambhala, Zambala) is what we call the God of Wealth or Gods of Wealth of the Buddhist. They are known 5 Dzambhala, who are member of the Jewel Family of the Buddhist tradition. Some say that Dzambhalas are manifestations of Bodhisattvas and Buddhas in Yaksha form to help people have a better grasp of their worldly powers. Each Dzambhala has its own mantra to help eliminate poverty and create financial stability.

According to Gyalten Sogdzin Rinpoche Dzambhalas are products of a Bodhisattva’s tears that turn into a Yaksha to aid sentient being to have material and spiritual wealth as well as to help have attain financial stability.

Because in this world, there are all kinds of wrathful and negative emotions or bad spirits, and sometimes they will harm you and other sentient beings, Dzambhala must take on such a wrathful and powerful form to protect us from these harmful spirits and negative karma. Especially, Dzambhala helps us minimize or decrease all misfortunes and obstacles and helps us increase all good fortune and happiness.”

The Five Dzambhalas are Green Dzambhala, Yellow Dzambhala, White Dzambhala, Red Dzambhala, Blue or Black Dzambhala. In Buddhism and Feng Shui as well as Taoism Blue and Black are considered as the same color.

GREEN DZAMBHALAJambala green

  • Is the chief of the 5 Dzambhalas and is said to be the yaksha. He is usually depicted to be standing upon a corpse and holding a mongoose in his left hand and a Kapala (a skull cap) in his right hand. He is usually depicted carrying a jewel producing mongoose in his right hand and has a consort. When depicted as seated, he sits in a vajra position with a Dakini in front of him. His right foot is almost always above a snail and a lotus flower.
  • The mantra of Green Dzambhala is: OM KARMA DZAMBHALA AH SOHA

WHITE DZAMBHALAjambala white

  • Is a Dzambhala who removes suffering from poverty and sickness. He also purifies non – virtuous karmic obstacles, and van averts illness and disaster. White Dzambhala is said to have been born from the right eye of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (Also known or spelled as Chenrezig, Kannon, Quan Yin, Quan Shi Yin, Guan Shi Yin, Guan Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Kuan Yin), which is also known as the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
  • White Jambhala sits on a snow lion or dragon, and is holding a mongoose in his left hand. The mongoose is said to spit out diamond and other precious items. He also holds a Wealth Banner in his left arm, some Buddhist traditions claims that it is a Victory Banner that he holds. In his right arm is a gold sword.
  • The mantra of White Dzambhala is: OM PADMO KRODA ARYA JAMBALA HRIH DAYA HUM PHAT

YELLOW DZAMBHALAjambala yellow

  • Perhaps the most famous or known Dzambhala of all Dzambhalas. It is said that he is the most powerful of all the Wealth Gods. Yellow Dzambhala can increase good virtues, life span and wisdom. He can also remove poverty with the six realms.
  • A lot of you are familiar with Yellow Dzambhala so I won’t really go into detail about him.
  • The mantra of Yellow Jambhala is: OM DZAMBHALA DZALIN DRAYE SOHA

RED DZAMBHALAjambala red

  • Uniquely, Red Jambhala is the only Dzambhala constantly depicted as practicing with his consort, which is the heavenly mother of wealth that is in – charge of the wealth in the human realm. According to Guru Lama in the olden days, Red Dzambhala is only introduced to the Kings and Emperors, or people with authority or position of power, because the power was then deemed to be only suitable for them for it could attract not only wealth but also fame. It is said that chanting the mantra of Red Dzambhala wealth, fame but it will also gather support of the people. Furthermore, the mantra of Red Jambhala can also attract marital bliss and harmony within the family.
  • The mantra of Red Dzambhala is: OM DZAMBHAL DZALIN DRAYE DHANAM MEDIHI HRIH DAKINI DZAMBHLA SAMBHARA SOHA

BLUE DZAMBHALA / BLACK DZAMBHALAjambala black

  • Is said to have manifested from the waters of the river and gave transmission of generating wealth to king whose kingdom was under extreme financial difficulty. It is said the Blue Jambhala (Black Jambhala) greatly benefits and favors the people who are in extreme poverty if they chant his mantra. It is said that he will purify all bad lucks and obstacles that cause financial problems. He also prevents loss of wealth thru debts and robbery or theft. He can also subdue a human’s ego and eliminate greed.
  • Please note that one should not confuse Black Dzambhala with that of Bodhisattva Vajrapani.
  • The mantra of Blue Dzambhala/Black Dzambhala is: OM DZAMBHALA DZALIN DRAYE BASHU DHARINI SOHA

It is inevitable for me to explain, as instructed by Guru Lama, for me to explain and talk about the Four Heavenly Kings first and to introduce all the God of Wealth – Dzambhalas, before I can really talk about and share with you the good news about the powerful Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet.

Some might consider this as a fairly young and unknown amulet, but according to Guru Lama, this perception is false, for the instructions on how to make this amulets are found in Tantric Buddhist Scriptures.

About two decades ago, when Guru Lama was much younger but who is already heading a temple as it’s Chief Abbot, he was approached by one his Sangha member (temple goer) who goes to the temple, this person is a devout Buddhist and is one of the most compassionate person Guru Lama has met. He will seldom complain, but because he goes to temple almost everyday, Guru Lama would talk to him a lot, and from there he realized that this man has lived a difficult life mostly because he was in poverty. Guru Lama seldom notices how a person dresses, it is as if he sees through the dress or clothes and will just see the person devoid of his financial status in life. But according to Guru Lama, one day this man can’t bear the hardship much longer because he was unable to pay for his wife’s hospitalization and medicines that he just cried and cried while talking to Guru Lama. According to Guru Lama, it is as if he was awakened and notices that the man’s clothes are worn out and to put it simply and directly, he does look poor.

Guru Lama set out to help the man and raise funds for him. However, he knew that this was a temporary help. And so he meditated to know what he could do for this man. In his meditative state he saw a book fell off from one of the shelves in their temple library, which according to Guru Lama was much smaller than it is now. He knew right away that he has been guided by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to check out this book. He remembers clearly which book ‘fell off from the shelf’ in his meditative state and so he went to check this book. Much to his dismay it was a Tantric Buddhist Scripture that can only be read by senior lamas. He was already a senior lama at that time, but a Tantric Buddhist Scripture is one of the most difficult books or books in Buddhism. But since he knew the answers could be found in those pages, he set out to read it.

Three weeks after he came across the instruction on how to make the Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet, and knew immediately that this what the Sangha member needs, and so following all the rules and strict guidelines, he set out to make one.

When he gave the Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet, which is an amulet that has to be consecrated under the Four Heavenly Kings (not just King Vaisravana) and the Five Dzambhalas, he gave him the instruction as mentioned in the Tantric Buddhist Scripture book he read, to chant the mantras of the three of the Four Heavenly Kings three times, and chant the mantra of King Vaisravana 49 times, and each of the mantra of the Five Dzambhalas 108 times.

The Sangha member followed the instruction and the rest soon became history. To this day, that Sangha member remains to be one of the wealthiest famous people in Singapore. Throughout all these years he continues to wear the Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet.

Vaisravana Dzambhala Wealth Amulet

The Vaisavana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet has the consecrated copies of the mantras of King Vaisravana of the Four Heavenly Kings and the mantras of the Five Dzambhalas. Furthermore, there are some special ingredients in powder form that are included to add to the potency of the amulet. Before it is sealed it is furthered consecrated on the image of The Four Heavenly Kings. It is placed in a metal case, not just for its durability and protection but according to the Tantric Buddhist Scripture book where Guru Lama got the instructions for this amulet, it has to be placed in cylindrical metal case to symbolize continuity and stability.

I’m sharing this with you because Guru Lama, after long contemplation, which started early this year, has decided to make this amulet available to the public. The Vajrapani Ruel is almost running out, meaning there are only a few pieces left, and Guru Lama felt that in these uncertain times, especially with the extreme financial stability or volatility, we can all use some help from this powerful amulet called Vaisravana – Dzambhala Wealth Amulet. It is placed in a metal case, not just for its durability and protection but according to the Tantric Buddhist Scripture book where Guru Lama got the instructions for this amulet, it has to be placed in cylindrical metal case to symbolize continuity and stability.

Like any other amulets, the stipulated donation for this amulet will go to the feeding of the monks, building of temples, or making an image of a Buddha or a Bodhisattva. To understand further on acquiring an amulet, I suggest you read the post – The Evolution of Acquiring An Amulet.

The Four Heavenly Kings: Getting to Know Four Powerful Buddhist Gods that Helps Bestow Wealth, Success, Peace, and Protection.

Published Agosto 30, 2017 by jptan2012

Today is a very good day and an exciting day (please note that actual writing and date of posting are usually different from each other) for me and in a way for my regular readers and believers of Feng Shui and Buddhism it should be a good day for you also, because today is the day I was told by my Guru Lama to share with you about the Four Heavenly Kings.four heavenly kings

The Four Heavenly Kings has been featured in numerous Buddhist Sutras, one of which is in The Sutra of the Past Vows of Earth Store Bodhisattva; Earth Store Bodhisattva is also known as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva or Di Zhang Pu Sa. In this particular sutra, Sakyamuni Buddha (The Historical Buddha) directly addressed the Four Heavenly Kings to help propagate the Sutra of the Past Vows of Earth Store Bodhisattva. They were also prominently mentioned in the highly revered Golden Light Sutra.

It is said that those who recite the Golden Light Sutra will be protected by the Four Heavenly Kings themselves. Furthermore, those who recite and keep the Lotus Sutra will also be protected by the Four Heavenly Kings.

From this we can see that the Four Heavenly Kings are powerful protector Buddhist gods, however, as you read on you will that they don’t only protect us but they each also have a specific function which is different from each other.

At this point, I would like to clarify that the Four Heavenly Kings are gods in the Buddhist pantheon; it means they are not yet Bodhisattvas or Buddhas, and they serve the Buddhas or Bodhisattvas.

Again, The Four Heavenly Kings are Buddhist gods, each of who watches over their assigned cardinal direction of the world. The cardinal directions are East, West, North, and South. In Chinese they are originally known or called as “Fēng Tiáo Yǔ Shùn” (風調雨順), which literally translates to “Good climate”, but in the translation in the Chinese version of sutras they are called “Sì Dà Tiānwáng” (四大天王) which means “Four Great Heavenly Kings”.four heavenly kings 2

In most Chinese Buddhist Temples, one will normally see the THE HEAVENLY KINGS HALL. This is usually one of the first most majestic halls one will see.

The Four Heavenly Kings resides in Mt. Sumeru, a celestial and cosmic mountain where the heavens are. They are also the protector of the world and they fight evil, each of the 4 Heavenly Kings are able to command a legion of supernatural creatures to protect the Dharma or people who follow the Dharma.

Each of the Four Heavenly Kings serves Sakra, the of the devas (gods) of the Trayastrimsha Heaven. In Buddhism there are many heavens, and the Tranyastrimsha Heaven is the heaven nearest to our world, which is called Jambvudpiva is Buddhist sutras.

Although they are more commonly called as the Four Heavenly Kings, each one of them has a name and their specific directions and functions. Allow me to introduce to you the Four Heavenly Kings:

VAISRAVANA (He Who Hears Everything)Vaisravana.

  • Is the chief of the Four Heavenly Kings and is the main protector of the cardinal direction North. He is sometimes likened to Bodhisattva Kuan Yin (also spelled or called as Quan Yin, Guan Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Guan Shi Yin, Quan Shi Yin, Avalokitesvara, Kannon, Chenrezig, Bodhisattva of Compassion, Goddess of Mercy) whose literal translation is THE WHO HEAR THE CRIES OF THE WORLD.
  • Vaisravana is also known as Kubera, Namtose (Namthose), Vessavana, Thao Kuwen, Wetsawan, Wetsuwan, Wéthawún Nat Min, Duō Wén Tiānwáng.
  • Vaisravana is the rule of water or rain, which is also the element that represents wealth or money. The umbrella or the pagoda are his symbolic weapons. Vaisravana is considered as a very powerful god of wealth.
  • In fact, Vaisravana rules over the famous gods of weatlh, which are the Five Dzambhalas (also spelled as Dzambhala, Dzambala, Jambala, Jambhala, Zambhala, Zambala) namely Red Dzambhala, Yellow Dzambhala, White Dzambhala, Black or Blue Dzambhala, and Green Dzambhala. He rules over the Dzambhalas amongst other Yaksha (also spelled as Yaksa) which are generals of the heavenly realm.
  • Vaisravana is often associated with the colors yellow and green.
  • Symbols of Vaisravana: Umbrella, Stupa, Pagoda, Mongoose
  • Cardinal Direction: North

VIRUDHAKA (He Who Causes To Grow)Virudhaka

  • Is the king of the South. He is the ruler of the wind. And is the god who helps cause good growth of roots or crops.
  • His symbolic weapon is the sword, which he carries in his right hand to protect the Dharma and also to symbolize power over ignorance.
  • Virudhaka is also known as Virūḷhaka, Thao Wirunhok, Virúlaka Nat Min, Zēng Zhǎng Tiānwáng, Zōchō-ten, Jeungjang-cheonwang,
  • Virudhaka rules over Kumbhanda, which are a group of dwarfish spirits and is considered as one of the lesser deities in Buddhism.
  • Virudhaka is often associated with the color blue.
  • Symbol of Virudhaka: Sword
  • Cardinal Direction: South

DHRTARASTRA (He Who Upholds the Realm)Dhrtarastra

  • Is the king that rules over East. He is also considered as the God of Music.
  • His symbolic weapon is a stringed instrument called pipa.
  • It is said that Dhrtarastra uses music to convert all sentient beings to Buddhism. While all of the Four Heavenly Kings are harmonious and compassionate, Dhrtarastra is considered to be a god that helps promotes harmony and compassion.
  • Dhrtarastra is also known as Dhrutharashṭa, Thao Thatarot, Daddáratá Nat Min, Chí Guó Tiānwáng, Jikoku-ten, Jiguk-cheonwang, Yülkhorsung.
  • Dhrtarastra rule over the gandharvas, which are male nature spirits that has superb heavenly and celestial musical skills. They are part animal usually a bird or a horse, and acts as messenger between gods and humans.
  • Dhrtarastra are often associated with the color white.
  • Symbol of Dhrtarastra: Pipa
  • Cardinal Direction: East.

VIRUPAKSA ( He Who Sees All)Virupaksa

  • Is the king that rules over the West. He is considered as the one who sees everything that happens in the Dharma world.
  • His symbolic weapons are snake or a red cord that is representative of a dragon.
  • It is said the Virupaksa watches over us in the sky, and that when we solemnly call on him in time of danger, he will guard and protect us. And if you are not Buddhist and for some reason knows a lot of Buddhism, it is said that it Virupaksa is the one who feeds you these informations.
  • Virupaksa is also known as Virūpakkha, Virūpaksha, Thao Wirupak, Virúpekka Nat Min, Guăng Mù Tiānwáng, Kōmoku-ten, Gwangmok-cheonwang,
  • Virupaksa rules over the Nagas, which is a deity that has taken the form of a very great snake.
  • Virupaksa is often associated with the color red.
  • Symbols of Virupaksa: Snake, Stupa, Pearl.
  • Cardinal Direction: West

According to Guru Lama praying to the Four Heavenly Kings will provide us with wealth and prosperity (thru King Vaisravana), success and progress (thru King Virudhaka), peace and harmony (thru King Dhrtarastra) and, good health and protection from danger (thru King Virupaksa). Placing their images at home also serves as one of the most powerful protection amulet one can have.

Guru Lama shares with me a story about how when he was assigned by the Dalai Lama to leave Dharamsala, India to help spread Buddhism and build temple in other parts of Asia, he has personally tapped into the blessings and power of the Four Heavenly Kings.

That was a few decades ago and when he left India, he was only given small amount money to travel and spread the Dharma and eventually build a temple. Guru Lama said he was a little apprehensive because a few years back they just left Tibet because of Chinese oppression, and when he was asked to leave again to spread the Dharma, he was apprehensive and really nervous even though he was excited and felt honored to be entrusted with the task of spreading the Dharma.

A few months before leaving India, he started preparing himself physically and mentally to this overwhelming task. He would always meditate on the teaching of the different sutras and would always draw strength from Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (aka Kuan Yin, Quan Yin, Guan Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Quan Shi Yin, Kuan Shi Yin, Chenrezig, Kannon) and Bodhisattva Vajrapani. One night in his sleep he received a vision that Vajrapani Bodhisattva visited him and that he was shown the images of the Four Heavenly Kings. Upon waking up he knew then that he would need the help of the Four Heavenly Kings to help progress in his endeavor.

This totally make sense, because if you go back to the description of the Four Heavenly Kings, he will need wealth and prosperity to help build a temple, success and progress so that people will see the good side of what he was about to do, peace and harmony so that he can transmute that feeling to the people around him, good health for this overwhelming task, and protection to ensure that he doesn’t come to harm’s way in spreading the Dharma.

And so my Guru Lama started worshipping and praising the Four Heavenly Kings by making offerings to them and by chanting the mantras of the Four Heavenly Kings. He also vigorously recited The Golden Light Sutra, and The Lotus Sutra (full title is called “Sūtra on the White Lotus of the Sublime Dharma”). And the rest is history. According to Guru Lama he was able to become an instrument into building a temple and building a Sangha (Buddhist community) with relative ease. Money for the temple just kept on pouring in.

Note: To this day Guru Lama still actively participate in building temples. The stipulated donation from the amulets goes to the feeding of the monks or building temples or making of images of Buddhas or Bodhisattvas.

And so today, again for the first time, I want to share with you a powerful mantra that will help you attract wealth and prosperity, success and progress, peace and harmony, lastly, good health and protection, you can recite the mantras of each of the Four Heavenly Kings.

Here are the mantras of each of the Four Heavenly Kings:

  1. For Wealth and Prosperity recite the Mantra of King Vaisravana: OM VAISRAVANA YE SOHA
  2. For Success and Progress in Life recite the Mantra of King Virudhaka: OM VIRUDHAKA KUMBHANDADHIPATA YE SOHA
  3. For Peace and Harmony recite the Mantra of King Dhrtarastra: OM DHRTARASTRA RALAPRAVADHAHA SOHA
  4. For Good Health and Protection recite the Mantra of King Virupaksa: OM VIRUPAKSA NAGA DHIPATA YE SOHA

Financial Blessings by Way of An Unexpected Inheritance; Old Clients brings in Money Blessings and a Business Boost; And Rekindling the Mother – Daughter – Sibling Relationship: A Vajrapani Ruel Miraculous Personal Testimony From Doubtful Chalyn!

Published Agosto 29, 2017 by jptan2012

Today’s post is about a reader who I secretly named as “Doubtful Chalyn” or “Doubting Chalyn”. Chalyn or Lyn as she is called emailed me sometime late April of this year. According to her she has to email me seven (7) times because I responded to her. I don’t think I saw her first 6 emails but the last one where I replied sounded like she was a little desperate. And so when I replied, I decided to give her my contact number.

Doubtful Chalyn called me up while I was in a meeting and so she got a little disappointed and sent me a message asking as to why I would give her my number, she called 3 times. I returned her call that same evening and explained that during daytime, I’m usually busy and is unable to reply right away to messages and most of the time, I’m unable to take a call.

Anyway, she said she needs my help and insisted that she needs the Vajrapani Ruel. She also clarified that it was both she and her husband who reads my blog, but it was her husband who really wants and is desperate to get the Vajrapani Ruel. During our conversation, she kept on asking me whether the Vajrapani Ruel really works and that whether it will work for her. I already sense at that time that she was a doubtful reader or and believer. And so I told her not to get the Vajrapani Ruel if she is not sure.

I was surprise when she called again the following day and insisted that we meet that day because she and her husband really wants to get the Vajrapani Ruel. We met at a mall and I further asked them about their concerns, Doubting Chalyn has shared it with me already during our conversation but wanted to hear it from her husband and I want to know whether the Vajrapani Ruel is really for them.

Vajrapani Ruel

The Vajrapani Ruel looks simple, maybe even rustic, but this simple amulet is packed with a special talisman paper inside, with various ingredients, which includes Namtso Salt, soil, various herbs and plants, crystal, and a relic from a high lama. It’s important to put the ruel inside a amulet holder or something sturdy as to not ruin it. If the cloth had tear which exposes or spill the ingredients inside, the ruel becomes useless. The Vajrapani Ruel itself is only about 1 to 2 inches and it varies from one ruel to another.

Lyn has gave me the reason why they desire the Vajrapani Ruel and that is because her husband’s business is not doing well and that money has been tight since July of 2016. But it was Ranran, Lyn’s husband, who concretizes everything for me. According to Ranran, his business was largely affected by the steady weakening of the Philippine peso against the US dollar, and because of this a lot of his customers has left him for more affordable, although not necessarily better, alternative supplier. This happened at a really fast rate, and since a lot of his customers are also foreign mid –scale businesses, when they left the country and close shop, his income was greatly affected.

Ranran also said that another reason that he wants to get the Vajrapani Ruel is for Lyn to get her long time wish. Lyn hasn’t mentioned anything about her wish to me during our phone conversation but I learned that day about her estranged relationship with her family because she eloped and married Ranran, a man who is 7 years younger than her, and who used to be her father’s employee. They have been married for more than a decade and not once did she get to her parents and siblings, and it is only a cousin that would tell Lyn of some news about her family. When Lyn’s father passed away 7 years ago, she was not allowed to go to the wake, and was only allowed to attend the funeral provided that she doesn’t join them before and after the main funeral. This obviously has constantly become a pain in the chest for Lyn. Even they had two kids her parents, refused to see the kids. Some of siblings of Lyn but only briefly and they certainly don’t have any kind of relationship with her kids.

Again, during our conversation at the mall, Doubtful Chalyn will always ask me whether the Vajrapani Ruel will work. I again told them not to get it if they are very anxious about the whole thing. It was then that I mentally branded her as “Doubtful Chalyn” or “Doubting Chalyn”. Ranran then explained that they are decided in getting the Vajrapani Ruel and that Lyn is only like that because she was desperate for the Vajrapani Ruel to work for them.

Note: I have since admitted to Lyn that I branded her has “Doubtful Chalyn” or “Doubting Chalyn”. And she and Ranran really laughed about it.

That was 4 months ago, as Lyn’s message indicates. Now allow me to share the miracle base on Lyn’s very own words.

According to Lyn and Ranran, they since had a reunion and getting to know the cousins (of Lyn’s kids) party with Lyn’s family. When they asked what happened why the sudden turn around, as it turn out, Lyn’s youngest sister has been convincing their mom and other siblings to reach out to Lyn and rekindle their family relationship with her.

Going back to their initial reason for getting the Vajrapani Ruel. As mentioned, one of Ranran’s biggest and old times went back to him. Obviously this is a big deal for Ranran because getting the client back is a big financial help and also reputation builder. Things have started to get better. And the inheritance of Lyn is a big help but is simply a bonus to the first two miracles!

Now “Doubtful Chalyn” is now a term of endearment for Lyn, but she is insists it is a name no longer apt for her. She said she is now “Lyn the Believer”.

By the way, she now also chants the mantra of Bodhisattva Vajrapani, OM VAJRAPANI HUM, everyday!

A Quick Post About the Things to Avoid During the Hungry Ghost Month!

Published Agosto 28, 2017 by jptan2012

Some of these things I have written in the past, some maybe just now. But allow me to quickly share a few things that one should avoid doing during the Hungry Ghost Month (Ghost Month) especially the Hungry Ghost Festival (Ghost Festival) which for this 2017 is on September 5.

Things to avoid:

  1. Avoid disturbing around and under the altar because the hungry ghosts loves to dwell around those areas because they want the yang energy.
  2. Avoid disturbing the kitchen or dining area or even the market or anywhere where there is food. Hungry Ghosts crave for food and so they might be in those areas.
  3. Do not put new fish tanks or aquarium in your house, because this might enhance the yin energy that is already pervasive during the ghost month.
  4. Do not hand wind chimes. Contrary to popular Feng Shui belief, there are a number of non – commercialized, traditional Feng Shui masters and Feng Shui experts who doesn’t believe in the use of wind chimes because a wind chime attracts spirits. I also subscribe to this belief They attract both good and bad spirits, so how can you siphon the good from the bad?
  5. Do not leave red cloths or red strings lying around the house? Red has one of the strongest yang energy and hungry ghosts will naturally crave for them.
  6. Avoid whistling especially after dark. Same principle with the wind chime, they may get attracted with the sound and they might latch on to you.
  7. Avoid properly putting any footwear beside your bed, always turn the footwear away from the bed or turn one of them over. Properly placed footwear may attract spirits to you.
  8. Do not hang your clothes overnight. Hungry Ghosts are not just hungry, they also lack clothes, while they don’t need it, they might feel that they need one because they still long for their human body. Hanging it overnight might lead them to ‘try it’ and it will cause extreme bad luck or even some hauntings.
  9. Do not pick up money on the streets or on the floor if you don’t know who owns them. Even if they’re just coins. A spirit might have latched on to it already and you will bring them with you.
  10. Do not look back if you hear a ‘pssst’ or if you hear somebody calls you in an empty space or street.

I also received some emails and questions as to what one can do if one really has to undergo a medical procedure this ghost month. I have written about this before and you can check it out by clicking here. However, please note to try to avoid this and if this is not possible, for major operations, or for medical procedure, which may be considered routine but involves senior citizens or children below 7 years of age, it is best to have the Vajrapani Ruel and/or a gold Kalachakra pendant.

Some Basic Questions About the Hungry Ghosts and the Hungry Ghost Month Answered (2): Are All Spirits of Our Dead Loved Ones that We See Are Hungry Ghosts?

Published Agosto 25, 2017 by jptan2012

In the preceding post, I briefly talked about how it is not a good thing when you continuously see your dead relative after 49 days because chances are they became a hungry ghost.

However, they’re some exceptions to the rule.

In the earlier post, I said that once a person passed away his consciousness (soul/spirit) would reincarnate with 7 or 21 or 35 o 49 days. If they didn’t reincarnate on the 7th day, they will reincarnate on the 21st day, if not then on the 35th day, then again if not they will definitely reincarnate on the 49th day. I also said that they would most likely reincarnate as another human being or animal or even in the hells or hungry ghost. This statement is base on the Buddhist sutras.

An average person will most likely reincarnate as another human being or as animal. But if they’re so bad they might reincarnate in the hells. However, I also seem to notice that there are a number who reincarnate as hungry ghosts also. These are basically the ones that we feel like they’re still in the house continuously taking care of us.

But I also said that they are exceptions to the rule. Our consciousness can also reincarnate as heavenly beings, or as an Asura, or as an Arhat, Pratyekabuddhas, or Bodhisattvas or Buddhas.

In this article, allow me to focus on heavenly beings because this is more plausible than being reincarnated as an Asura or Arhat, or Pratyekabuddha! Much more to reincarnate as a Bodhisattva or Buddha!

In Buddhism, a person with a very good heart can reincarnate as a heavenly being, meaning they are beings that are in the heavens. Depending on the stage of their consciousness, as a heavenly being they may or may not reincarnate back as human beings again. But as heavenly beings, they exist in a cosmic world or another world that we cannot see, but they may see us.

It is possible that some human beings who passed away may reincarnate as a heavenly being. If they do, they can continue to watch over us, but don’t go thinking that most of our dead loved ones will turn out to be an heavenly being because it is quite a difficult ‘path’ to being a heavenly being.

A loved one who became a heavenly being will definitely not be felt in the house. They will not be guarding your house all the time and you will not see or feel them. They will not be walking on your peripheral vision, or still staying in their room. If that is the case they are hungry ghosts.

However, these heavenly beings will definitely watch over us. More than that whenever we feel like problems are overwhelming they will definitely make themselves felt so that they can continue to reassure us or help us feel better. They may also manifest in dreams and lead us to the right path. I would like to make it clear though that they will never appear in our dreams as a sad spirit or even crying one, they will always appear either happy or neutral and they will send signals of what one should do.

Occasionally we may physically see them but almost always as silhouette, but during those times, there will be no fear, and we will most likely have an overwhelming feeling of peace or reassurance especially at times when we have problems.

There are times also that they may appear as a butterfly or as a bird or we may smell them or smell a flower. But in these circumstances we will always get the feeling of peace or reassurance.

To put it simply, if you see the image of your dead relative often like once a year (believe me this is considered often enough) then chances are your relative became a hungry ghost. Thus dedicating to them the merits when you recite a sutra will help them have a better ‘life’.

What are the sure indications that they may have become heavenly beings:

  1. You dream about them only when you are extremely sad or in a very bad situation.
  2. During these dreams they give you a feeling of peace and reassurance that things will become better.
  3. If you see them, you see them in silhouette form and there is no sense of fear only peace, maybe happiness, and reassurance. You
  4. They may manifest as a butterfly, as a bird and again they will appear at that time you’re thinking about them, and you will know that it’s them. Again they only bring a feeling of peace and reassurance.
  5. They only manifest at a time when you need some reassurance or help. They won’t manifest just because you want to.

I dedicate this post to the mother of BM who surely has the manifestation of a heavenly being. Not to mention that it was confirmed by Guru Lama!

Some Basic Questions About the Hungry Ghost and the Hungry Ghost Month Answered (1): If You See Your Relatives Who Passed Away Are They Considered As Hungry Ghost?

Published Agosto 24, 2017 by jptan2012

When people tell me that they saw their loved ones who passed away seemingly wanting to send a message, or if they tell me that their ‘father is still in the house guarding us’, I usually keep quiet, especially when they’re really happy about it thinking that it’s a good thing. Because continue seeing you dead relative most of the time indicates that they’re in a bad place.

According to Buddhist Sutras (scriptures) when a person passes away, he or she will reincarnate with in 7 or 21 or 35 or 49 days. But let me clarify that reincarnate doesn’t mean that he or she will definitely have become a human again, it could mean that he or she would have reincarnated as a human being or as an animal or as a consciousness in the hell, or as a hungry ghost. If he or she reincarnated as an hungry ghost he or she would have retained the consciousness or ‘soul’ as Christians would call it of that of his last life.

You may continuously feel a dead relative or love one’s consciousness from the time of his or her death up to 7 or 21 or 35 or 49 days, but after 49 days he or she would have definitely reincarnated.

So if you continue to see your dead relative chances are he or she became an hungry ghost, and he or she can stay as an hungry ghost for a long period of time, especially since the timeline of their existence is different from ours.

Now, is there any ‘exception’ to the rule?

That will be the subject of my next post.
