Once again it’s the time of the year where I’m busy with my business, because as early as now a lot of companies are doing their annual planning for the following year. But also, I have been receiving emails and text messages asking for my annual forecast, which I started 2 years ago.
Chinese New Year this year will usher in the Wood Horse, and this will show that this year those who are able to bring their positive traits will be the one who are likely to succeed. This doesn’t mean that one has to be flamboyant about their achievement, but neither it is a year to have ‘false’ humility. A silent worker who succeeds will not be recognized, but a hard worker who is able to humbly ‘show off’ his achievements will gain recognition.
Like last year, this year my forecast will include both the Bazi or Paht Chee, and at the same time the Flying Star. As regular readers of this blog will know forecast with the use of Flying Star is not as difficult as most Feng Shui experts would want us to believe. All you have to do is remember the Flying Star number, it’s effect, find out where it’s location for the year and that’s it, you’ll already know the effect.
Let’s start off with the Flying Star forecast. Like before we’ll start off with the East sector.
THE EAST HAS THE #2 FLYING STAR CALLED ILLNESS STAR
Effects: As the name implies, this star causes illness and to some extent it can be fatal or terminal. Sometime, this star can also cause some accidents that may make you invalid for a long time if not permanently. For this year, the star directly affects people born under the year of the Rabbit, and it might create some effect also with people born under the sign of the Tiger and Dragon. Technically speaking this should no longer affect people born under the sign of the Ox. However, due to the magnetic effects of some bad stars of the 24 Mountains calculation, this star will also greatly affect people under the sign of the Ox. People whose room is in the East section of their house should also take note. Furthermore, it will affect the eldest son or the only son of a family. The Flying Star #2 is also going to affect people whose house door faces East also.
Feng Shui Cure: The primary cure for the ILLNESS STAR is the Medicine Buddha. Wear an image of the Medicine Buddha as pendant or wear the symbolic script of the mantra of the Medicine Buddha to help counter the ill effects of the said star. Chanting the mantra of the Medicine Buddha is also a great way to manage the said star. Secondary cure is Wulou (also spelled as Wu Lou) or Holy Gourd. Please note that it is considered very disrespectful if you put an image of the Medicine Buddha in your room, so in this case one can put the Holy Gourd.
THE SOUTHEAST HAS THE #3 FLYING STAR CALLED THE ARGUMENTATIVE STAR
Effects: The Flying Star #3 also known, as the Argumentative Star is a star that causes relationship problem, numerous bickering, litigation problems, quarrels and problems/conflicts with people in authority. This year it will also greatly affect people born under the signs of the dragon and horse. And people whose room or office is in the Southeast section of the building or house. Not to mention, houses whose door faces the Southeast section will also encounter problems that were mentioned.
Feng Shui Cure: The best cures for this star are either the Ksitigarbha Fireball or the Nine – Ring Sword of Kuan Kong. The image of Kuan Kong is also a very good cure for this star. People affected by this star can wear or carry an image of the cures. The Maitreya Buddha also known as the Happy Fat Buddha is also a great help.
THE SOUTH HAS THE #8 FLYING STAR CALLED WEALTH STAR BUT THE TAI SUEY ALSO GOES TO THE SOUTH SECTOR
Effects: This star is a very good star. It gives you abundance and to some a ‘bottomless’ pocket filled with money. This star is not just about money wealth but this is also for over – all abundance. This is a star ruled by the earth element that moved into a sector ruled by fire. Regular readers of this blog knows that earth is strengthen by the Fire element, and as we discussed the Paht Chee or Bazi of the year, you’ll know that we can find a strong fire element this year, so this is a star that is particularly strong this year. People born under the year of the horse, snake, and sheep will benefit from this star.
Feng Shui Enhancers: Faux gold Coins or Bars or Ingots should be place on this sector. Wear an image of a Wealth Deity like the Maitreya Buddha, Kuan Kong, or Sun Wukong.
However, it should be noted that this year, the Tai Suey God is also in the South. It has to be noted that Tai Suey is not part of the Flying Star but we need to always take this into consideration because offending the Tai Suey will create a lot of bad luck.
The Taoists, where most of how we do Feng Shui originated, believes that a certain God called Tai Suey or Tai Sui or Grand Duke in English rules a year. This year’s Tai Suey God is General Zhang Ci. However, you have to understand a little about Taoist Gods for you to be able to understand why we have to be careful in dealing with the Tai Suey.
Taoist Gods are like humans with supernatural powers. They have magical and godly powers but they may also have human temperament and they also have characters and personalities. Meaning, they can get angry with our acts, they can be disturbed and get angry with us and thus render a punishment to us, or maybe the simple act of them getting irritated with us might create some misfortune. However, they can also be appease and happy with us and render us some good blessings, or again, the simple act of the Tai Suey getting happy with us will create some good fortune.
To help ensure that Tai Suey is happy with us always carry an image of the Pi Yao or Pi Xiu. This celestial animal will help appease the Grand Duke or Tai Suey. Another image that can help manage the Tai Suey God is to carry, display or wear an image of the Wind Horse or Lung Ta. People born in the year of the horse and rat, who are directly afflicted by the Tai Suey and Snake and Sheep who are in side conflict and Pig / Boar and Ox who are in semi – conflict with the Tai Suey should have either the Piyao or Lung – Ta. Also, if your door faces South, or if your bedroom and office is in the South you should also put the image of the Piyao or Lung Ta or Windhorse. People who are occupying the south also should wear or carry the image of the Piyao or Lung Ta.
THE SOUTHWEST HAS THE #1 FLYING STAR CALLED WHITE VICTORY STAR
Effects: This star brings luck to your endeavors. It helps ensure your success. This year the White Victory Star also ensures that mothers will have a ruling power over their children.
Feng Shui Enhancers: Put in your bedroom or carry or wear one of the following images – Victory Banner, Lung – Ta or Wind Horse, Kuan Kong.
Furthermore, the Southwest also has the star of Golden Deity. So having gold colored Kuan Kong or Kuan Yin or Yellow Dzambhala in this sector (unless it’s a bedroom) will enhanced the energy of the White Victory Star. Also, wearing the image of Yellow Dzambhala, or Kuan Kong or Kuan Yin in gold will also help enhance the energy of the White Victory Star.
THE WEST HAS THE #6 FLYING STAR CALLED HEAVEN’S BLESSINGS AND MENTOR STAR
Effects: This star helps set the ‘tone’ of the year for people whose office, or room is in the West side of the house or building. Meaning, if you continuously do more good the more blessed you’re going to be. This also means that if you’re Chinese Animal Zodiac is not so good, you will have help from Heaven (Buddha, Bodhisattvas, Deities, Immortals, or Saints). This also means that you’ll be lucky enough to have people who will help you achieve your goal.
Feng Shui Enhancers: In your room or office put some crystal ball or 6 White Jade tied with a red string. People who are staying in this sector and people born in the year of the Rooster will do well if they invite an image of a Buddha or Bodhisattva or Deity or Immortal by wearing their image as a pendant. I personally suggest one of the following: Kuan Kong, Avalokitesvara aka Kuan Yin, Maitreya Buddha aka Happy Fat Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Yellow Dzambhala, Green Tara.
THE NORTHWEST HAS THE #5 FLYING STAR OR THE DREADED FIVE YELLOW STAR
Effects: The 5 – Yellow Star is the worst of all negative stars! It’s the most dreaded star. It is said to bring 5 different kinds of misfortunes!
Feng Shui Cure: AGAIN! AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE MOVE OUT FROM THIS SECTION OR DON’T USE THIS SECTION. You can also use the Five Element Pagoda ( 5 – Element Pagoda ), or the Kalachakra. For people who stays in this section of the house or building and if you can’t move out of this sector, it is very important that you wear either the Kalachakra or the Five Element Pagoda. Furthermore, people born in the year of the Dog and Pig or Boar should also ensure that they wear either the Five Element Pagoda or the Kalachakra.
THE NORTH HAS THE #9 FLYING STAR CALLED THE MULTIPLYING AND FUTURE PROSPERITY STAR AND IT IS JOINED BY THE THREE KILLINGS
Effects: Technically speaking, this is neither a good or bad star. The power of this star is to let you reap whatever you sow. This star basically multiplies whatever karma you accumulate. If you do more good things you’ll have more good luck in the future, but if you continue to do a lot of bad things, you multiply your negative karma as well. The Rat is also affected by this star thus it will be good if he/she can be more conscious of the things he/she does.
Feng Shui Cure: Last year, I didn’t put any enhancer or cure recommendations because I want people to be more conscious about what they do. However, a reader told me that there are times that we simply, without intending to be bad, create some things that earn us negative karma. For this I highly recommend either the image of the Medicine Buddha or the symbolic script of the mantra OM AH HUM or OM HANU PASHA BARA HE YE SOHA both of which are on the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT.
This year the Three Killings also found its way to the North. Unlike the Tai Suey or the Five Yellow Star, which we must avoid, the 3 – Killings is something that we must confront. Meaning, the best way to deal with it is to face the Three Killings and not turn our back against it. If the 3 Killings is not confronted then it can wreak three kinds of misfortunes to a person. The three misfortunes are accident, financial loss, and illness.
Another good way of dealing with the Three Killings is to place the image of the Three Celestial Guardians or images of three different Buddha, Bodhisattva, Deity or Immortal in the North section of the room, house, office, and building. Those who are staying in the South or North section of their house, office, building, or room must wear an image of the Three Celestial Guardians or images of three different Buddhas or Bodhisattvas or Deities or Immortals.
The Three Celestial Guardians are the Fu Dog, Chi Lin (also spelled as Qi Lin or Chilin or Chi Lin) and Piyao (also spelled or called Pi Yao, Pi Xiu, Pixiu).
THE NORTHEAST HAS THE #7 FLYING STAR ALSO CALLED THE VIOLENT STAR
Effects: The star brings hostility and loss through robbery, theft, or even manipulation. This year it will greatly affect people under the sign of the ox and tiger.
Feng Shui Cure: One of the following items – Image of Sun Wukong (aka Monkey God), Image of Kuan Kong (also known as Kuan Ti, Guan Ti, Kuan Te Ya, Guan Te Ya, Guan Gong), Image Elephant with Rhinoceros. For people who are staying on this side have the house or office, or for people born under the sign of the Ox and Tiger, it is advisable to wear an image of Sun Wukong, Kuan Kong, or a Mantra Pendant. The WEALTH AND MASTER PROTECTION PENDANT that has the image of THE GREAT SAGE, EQUAL OF HEAVEN – SUN WUKONG, and the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT that has the image of Kuan Kong are also advisable.
THE CENTER HAS THE #4 FLYING STAR ALSO KNOWN AS THE SCHOLASTIC AND ROMANCE STAR
Effects: Romance luck is heightened if your room is on this side of the house. For single people, you might have the possibility of finding love. For partnered people, you might find your love getting more ‘fragrant’. However, for married couple the effect might be two fold. First, you might find yourself loving each other more deeply, but there might also be the possibility of a third party getting involved. It is also called Scholastic Star because it also has a good effect on the scholastic pursuits of a person. Meaning, students may become more studious, and professionals might find that it’s easier to understand documents. Since this stars goes to the center this year it affects all of us.
Feng Shui Enhancer: For single person you can put a Rose Quartz Mandarin Ducks on your bedside. For married couple, you can hang the Double Happiness on your headboard. To safeguard yourself from a third party, tie an Amethyst Geode with Red String on the foot of your bed. You can also use the power of Green Tara to ensure that this star works for the positive only.
And like before, we should take into consideration the year’s Paht Chee or Bazi. This year’s Bazi shows an imbalanced chart. There are 4 Yang Fire elements, 3 Wood elements 2 of which are Yang, and 1 Yin Metal. It’s pretty obvious that earth and water elements are missing. The good news here is that the year pillar shows a productive cycle or relationship and that is of the Wood and Fire element. This means that for this year, it is those who are aggressive that will enjoy great amount of success.
However, the relationship of the elements in the Bazi also shows that there is a tendency for people to misunderstand each other and for people to enter a lot of arguments. Thus, we might see more fighting both on a personal level and on a larger scale. The Philippines and China Scarborough problem will continue. It might even escalate.
This also means that people who are diplomatic will also tend to shine. These are the sheep, rabbit, pig or boar and dog. In fact, if you want peace in the family, bring in images of dogs and better yet get a real dog but do this only if and only if you can take care of the dog properly and that you can ensure that he or she grows up a well-rounded dog. You can also get a rabbit, but ensure that you take care of it properly also.
People whose Bazi chart shows a lack of Fire and/or high Earth elements will also do well this year. It is important to note that although the year is lacking of water element, there is no need to enhance the water element. In fact, people with high water rating on their bazi will see themselves having some problems, unless, of course this is negated by having very low or lacking personal fire element.
For this year, it is highly advisable that we should all have at least some gemstones on our body. Wearing jade, amber, and / or other precious or semi – precious stones will help enhance the positive chi of the year and serves as a protection against the negative effects of an imbalanced chart.
If there’s something that one should really worry about this year is the love energy. The love energy doesn’t always mean it’s good because while it can create romantic luck, it can also create extra marital affairs. Arguments that may lead to litigation or irrevocable fight or even war is also quite strong force this year. The best Feng Shui cures to use against these are the Kalachakra and the image of Kuan Kong. Tapping into the loving energy of the Buddha of Compassion Avalokitesvara or Kuan Yin and the healing energy of the Medicine Buddha are also powerful means to help counter the negative energy of that causes arguments.
Before I end this forecast, I would like to share that a lot of people are having some problems with the number of charms to wear and to keep track of the cures and enhancers that one has to wear to protect and enhance their Feng Shui. This is why I created, first, the WEALTH AND MASTER PROTECTION PENDANT, which was followed by the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT. The WEALTH AND MASTER PROTECTION PENDANT feature SUN WUKONG, and has the images of the Three Celestial Guardians and the Ksitigarbha Fireball and Five Element Pagoda. While the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT features Medicine Buddha, Kuan Kong, Yellow Dzambhala, the Kalachakra, Victory Banner, Lung – Ta or Wind Horse, and the symbolic scripts of the mantra OM AH HUM, the mantra of the Medicine Buddha, the Wish Fulfilling and the Karma Cleansing Mantra with the seed syllable of the Goddess Tara. I designed the pendant to make sure that I don’t have to change the pendant every year. With the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT I don’t have to worry about the annual, monthly, or even the daily Flying Star. Since writing about it a lot of people has requested for the pendant, and my only frustration about it is that it is quite pricey.
