Red: My Pet Dog

This is a picture of Red when he was only 1 and 1/2 months old. This was taken at the place where he was born. Took him only on his 2nd month. Called him Red because he is technically a red toy poodle.

I’ve always loved dogs but for some reason I’ve always been afraid of them. I don’t really know where this fear of anything that’s four legged started, but I was once told by psychic that it can be karmic because of a past life issue. I don’t know whether she’s correct or not, but to this day I’m still unable to explain my fear for anything that’s four legged, specially cats and dogs.

Then again, it can be because of the fact that growing up my elders would always tell us to avoid dogs because they might bite us and that we will die because of its rabies. They will say that full of conviction and with energy as high as that of Superman’s.

Nevertheless, a little more than a month ago, I finally full fill a long time dream to get a pet. It was a long hard decision, but upon convincing of a friend with a little help from his toy poodle, I decided to get my own dog.

It was a tough decision, and while I was very excited, the first 2 days was really emotionally difficult for me. I’m taking on such a big responsibility that I begin to doubt whether I would be able to properly care for my pet, who I decided to call Red.

However, no matter how hyper Red is, he showed me his gentle side and that we need to work together to make it work. Red showed me that he would be willing to listen to me as long as take on the responsibility and that I should act as a leader.

At the moment, I have improved a lot on my relationship with Red. However, it’s a work in progress, I still have much to learn, but one thing is for sure. Red is making me a better person.

Tap Into the Powers of Chung Kwei to Be Protected from the Bad Effects of the Hungry Ghost Month

I just shared with you why Chung Kwei is considered as the ultimate protector from evil spirits, demons, and hungry ghosts, and their ill effects with the post entitled – THE FASCINATING STORY OF CHUNG KWEI, THE ULTIMATE CATCHER AND VANQUISHER OF DEMONS, GHOSTS, AND EVIL SPIRITS!

Chung Kwei (also spelled as Chong Kwei, Chung Kui, Chong Kui, Zhong Kwei, Zhong Kui, Zhung Kwei, and Zhung Kui) is usually depicted as an extremely ugly deity. He can be considered as a wrathful god, which is usually how protector gods are depicted. His face is also usually really dark if not black, and he usually has beard. He carries a sword that he use for battling demons and evils spirits and a magical fan, which he uses to ward of hungry ghosts or ghosts. However, it is said that his face alone is enough to ward of any evil spirits that is why it is not surprising to see some pendants that simply features his face. Sometimes, he is featured with a red bat, which symbolizes that he is capable of bringing good fortune through scholarly approach. This is because he is a highly learned man when he was still living.

Tapping into his power of protection is quite simple. All you need is to invite his image into your house. It is best to place him near the main door. However, if you can you can also put him by the stairs. Having his image in your office is also a good way into tapping into his protection for your office.

It is also advisable to wear an image of Chung Kwei as a pendant. Wearing his image as a pendant will ensure your protection. I always wear my Chung Kwei black jade pendant whenever I travel and I usually hang it beside my bed when I sleep, especially, if I suspect the hotel room where I’m staying is a Yin room.

However, there are some guidelines when choosing your Chung Kwei.

In choosing an image of a Chung Kwei for your home or office, it is important that:

1. The image is made of wood, ceramic, porcelain, stone and never plastic or metal, unless it’s made of real gold.
2. The image of Chung Kwei’s face should be red, black, or at the very least dark color.
3. The image of Chung Kwei should have a fierce or angry looking face.
4. The image should also have either all or one of his implements – sword and magical fan.

In choosing a Chung Kwei pendant, it is important that:

This particular Chung Kwei pendant features only the face. Notice the 2 little devils besides him with fearful face, it represents the first devils that Zhong Kui vanquished!

1. The Chung Kwei pendant (Zhong Kui Pendant) is made of a red stone or black stone (ink jade which is technically green is also acceptable) or real gold. These are the only acceptable material for a Chung Kwei pendant. If getting a gold, make sure that it’s made of either yellow or red gold and not white gold. Anything outside these three are unacceptable. There are some Chung Kwei amulets available that are made of metal painted with gold. That’s not acceptable, plus it really has to be a pendant. It’s also very impolite to put the image of Chung Kwei in your pocket.
   

   This is a sample of an ink jade pendant. It looks like it’s black, but if you put a light behind it it’s green tone will appear. This is acceptable.

2. The Chung Kwei pendant should have a fierce and/or angry face.
3. It’s fine to simply get a pendant that just features the face.

The problem is it’s quite difficult to get an image of Chung Kwei either as a pendant or as statuette, unless, you’re from Malaysia and Singapore. In the Philippines, I’ve only seen one or two stores in Chinatown in Binondo that sells good statuette of Chung Kwei. I now have only one piece of the statuette that I got in Singapore that I can dispose of. It is even harder to find a good Chung Kwei pendant, again, unless, you travel to Singapore, Malaysia, or Hong Kong.

This is a rare black jade pendant image of Chung Kwei. Was fortunate enough to find one in Beijing, China in a small shop.

Before wearing or ‘displaying’ your Chung Kwei it is important that you have it bless by a Taoist priest. If a Taoist priest is not immediately available to you, or if the Taoist priest that you met is not familiar with Chung Kwei, you can bless your image yourself.

Blessing an image of a Chung Kwei:

1. Make sure that your Chung Kwei is really clean from any physical dirt.
2. Place your Feng Shui on top of a bowl of rock salt or sea salt; adjust accordingly depending on the size of your Chung Kwei.
3. For pendants cover it with a piece of red paper with your name and birthday on it.
4. For statuettes, you can place the red paper on its base or foot. Write your complete address.
5. Leave it there for 3 days.
6. On the third day, light 3 candles in front o the Chung Kwei while it’s still on top of the rock salt or sea salt. Small candles will do, and make sure they are made of 3 different colors – red, black, and yellow or white.
7. Burn the paper before 6PM.
8. You can start wearing or displaying your Chung Kwei the following day.

Dealing with Depression with Feng Shui, Buddhism, and Taoism

A few days ago,  we talked about RECOGNIZING THE  SIGNS OF DEPRESSION and briefly talked about how one should deal with it. On an earlier post called SUICIDE IS NOT A SOLUTION, I also briefly discussed on how one can deal with suicidal tendencies and depression using Feng Shui, Buddhism, and Taoism.

Today, allow me to elaborate it a little on how can one use Feng Shui, Buddhism, and Taoism in dealing with depression. However, it should be noted that this is not an alternative or replacement, this is only a ‘supplement’ but if one is depressed one should always reach out to others and get professional help. That’s the most important thing one can do.

Having said that, allow me to briefly share that Feng Shui, Buddhism, and Taoism ways to dealing with depression.

FOR FENG SHUI.

Make sure that your room or house is well lit and please put about a tablespoon of rock salt or sea salt in all corners of the house or room. Make sure that when sleeping your head is not facing towards the window. Listen to positive, happy music.

FOR BUDDHISM.

Chant a full mala (108 times) of the mantra of the BUDDHA OR BODHISATTVA OF COMPASSION, KUAN YIN, as many times as you can with a minimum of three times a day. You can also do this for a person who is depressed. Buying a CD that chants the mantra repetitively also helps. To know more about it, read my previous posts about Kuan Yin – KUAN YIN: THE ONE WHO HEARS THE CRIES OF THE WORLD; UNDERSTANDING MERCY AND COMPASSION: THE TRANSFORMATION OF AVALOKITESVARA TO KUAN YIN; and PAYING HOMAGE TO KUAN YIN, THE BUDDHA OF COMPASSION.

Another mantra that you can recite is that mantra of the MEDICINE BUDDHA –TADYATHA OM BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE MAHA BHEKANDZYE BHEKANDZYE RADZA SAMUGATE SOHA. Again you can recite this for yourself or for a loved one. Constantly playing the mantra will also help.

Wear a pendant with the image of KUAN YIN, MEDICINE BUDDHA, or SUN WUKONG.

Light some incense.

FOR TAOISM.

Take a bath in a tub with a cup of rock salt or sea salt. While in a tub you can also light some red or white candles and try to put flowers in your surrounding.

Offer some fruits and flowers to THE GREAT SAGE, EQUAL OF HEAVEN SUN WUKONG, as mentioned in my previous post, SUN WUKONG exist both in Chinese Buddhism and Taoism. SUN WUKONG, is a happy god and if you’re familiar with his life story, he always uplifts those who are with him. Wearing an image of SUN WUKONG also helps a lot!

Light some incense.

But remember these are just ‘supplements’ only. The best way to deal with depression is to reach out and get professional help.

USHNISHA SITATAPUTRA – A Protector Against All Danger, Better Known as The White Umbrella Goddess

Ushnisha Sitataputra, better known as the White Umbrella Goddess, is one of the female manifestations of Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. It should be noted that Ushnisha Sitataputra, although she has similar traits with Kuan Yin, is not Kuan Yin. Kuan Yin is literally Avalokitesvara as female Bodhisattva. To understand this better I suggest you read my earlier post entitled – UNDERSTANDING MERCY AND COMPASSION: THE TRANSFORMATION OF AVALOKITESVARA TO KUAN YIN.

However, Ushnisha Sitataputra is a female manifestation of Avalokitesvara, the difference is Kuan Yin has retained all the exact character traits of Avalokitesvara, while a Ushnisha Sitataputra or The While Umbrella Goddess serves a slightly different purpose.

Ushnisha Sitataputra directly translates as the ‘The Victorious Goddess of White Parasol’, and she does signify victory over all harm and danger, especially those of supernatural causes. According to Lama Zopa Rinpoche, reciting the mantra of Ushnisha Sitataputra will help illnesses, bring auspicious luck, prevent harm from happening, and drive away evil and negative energies. The Tibetan Buddhists regard Ushnisha Sitataputra or The White Umbrella Goddess as one of the most powerful deity.

The famous image of Ushnisha Sitataputra is the one where has a thousand face, thousand arms, and a thousand legs. Each of the face has three eyes, and she also has one eye in each of the palm of her hands and sole of her feet. This is to represent that she watches and protects all sentient beings. Her body as in her central faces glows in white, her right faces are yellow, her rear faces are red, and green is the color of her faces on her left. At the top of her head is another tier of blue faces. Her right hands hold the Dharma chakra, while her left hands hold arrows. She also has a white parasol on her left, which symbolizes the blessing of protection. This particular image of The White Umbrella Goddess can be likened to the Thousand-Hand Kuan Yin or Thousand Hand Avalokitesvara.

This is similar to the Thousand-Hand Kuan Yin we have at home.

Another image of Ushnisha Sitataputra or The White Umbrella Goddess is the simpler and can be likened to the White Tara.

In this subdued image of Ushnisha Sitataputra, she has 7 eyes, very much like the White Tara. Also white in color, she has one face with three eyes, two hands with one eye each on each palm, and 2 legs with one eye each on each sole. Her right hand is in the mudra of supreme generosity and also holds a Dharma chakra, while on her left she holds the famous White Parasol or White Umbrella of protection. However, in this version, the parasol is adorned with various jewel and ornaments.

Sustaining Wealth Luck with Red and Gold

In my previous posts, I talked about ways to attract wealth or ways to activate your wealth luck.

Today, allow me to share with you an effective Feng Shui tool to help sustain your wealth luck. If you are currently experiencing wealth blessings, whether it’s just enough to tide you over, or whether it’s a shower of blessings that’s really more than what you really need, it will be totally good to prepare for the time when you’d be afflicted with one of the bad Flying Star. It will also be good to ensure that you ‘lock’ this wealth luck or wealth blessing that you don’t lose them.

Doing this is quite simple. All you need to remember are two vey common words. They are RED and GOLD. Red and Gold is a powerful Feng Shui combination, they create so much good Feng Shui energy that it helps ensures that you are able to lock or sustain your wealth luck.

Another way of doing this is getting 3 Feng Shui coins and ties them with a red string and putting it on everything that may carry your money or represent your wealth. You can put this on your cash box, jewelry box, checkbook, bankbook; you can even put this on your purse, bag, or wallet. Just make sure the Feng Shui coins, which is really a replica of the Chinese antique coins, has bronze or gold finishing.

You can also get a Feng Shui lock coin.

This is an old version of a Feng Shui lock coin.

A Feng Shui lock coin is basically a Feng Shui tool designed as old lock engraved with powerful words and symbols. The lock coin should be made of metal, and make sure you tie it with a red string to infuse it with more yang energy.

This is the new version of the lock coin. It doesn't matter which of the two you get, both are effective.

What’s nice is that regardless of your Basket of Elements as indicated by your Bazi, this is something that will surely work for you, even if you have a high metal or high fire rating.

How do they work? Gold, which is a good wealth luck activator is further infused by the power of the color red. The red regardless whether it’s a thread or a semi-precious stone acts like a power source. Having them both will ensure that your wealth luck is sustained and locked.

Tips to Cure Bad Chi that Affects Family Relationship

I decided to write this post because of a reader who recently consulted me about her relationship with her mom. They know they love each other but they also fight a lot. K, the reader, was one of the first readers of this blog who contacted me through email requesting that her BAZI be read. It took me a few weeks before I was able to deliver her BAZI analysis. One of her primary reason of wanting her chart to be read is because she just recently went through a major change in her life and also she became a little worried because she read that this might be a bad year for people born under the sign of the Dragon. K is a Dragon.

K’s BAZI chart showed that she might have some relationship problems with her mom. It’s nothing that both of them want or seek, but it’s simply because it was destined to be that way, to further aggravate this her mom was born under the year of the Dog, which totally contradicts the Dragon.

K confirmed the BAZI analysis as shown on her BAZI chart. If we’ve seen K’s BAZI when she was younger, the remedy could have been asking her mom to let K call her another term for mother, other than what she’s usually addressed by the other children. For example, if her children call the mom Mama, K could just call her mommy or mom.  If she’s called Mommy, K can just call her mom, mama, or even Inay. That’s one of the simplest cure for relationship problem that has something to with the BAZI or fate.

Also knowing about this earlier in their life could have prepared the mom to work harder with their relationship. This is one problem that really has to be addressed on as early as possible, it’s harder to ‘heal’ the wounds that has been repeatedly wounded several times through the years. However, it’s useless ‘crying over spilled milk’, Feng Shui is useless unless one is able to solve a ‘problem’.

Nevertheless, I have to admit that relationship problems specially one that is deeply rooted in the BAZI, which is destined as dictated by one’s birth date, is the ‘hardest’ to work on. But knowing that these arguments are caused by other than one’s personality is a first step in trying to tone down the bad chi brought about by fate. Secondly, one really has to be more patient with each other.

If you’re experiencing relationship problems with any of members of your family, regardless of whether it’s karmic or not, do the first two steps I just mentioned. Then, you can also do the following Feng Shui tips and/or Taoist and Buddhist rituals to help address the bad chi or energy that’s causing the disharmony.

SIX CRYSTAL BALLS IN THE LIVING ROOM. Placing six smooth crystal balls in the living room will help create harmony within the family. If possible, get a crystal ball that has some symbolic script on them, because this helps enhance the ‘power’ created by the good Feng Shui created by putting the crystal balls. If possible, use real crystal balls, but because this can get quite expensive, you can get two natural crystal balls and the rest can be made of glass. However, never ever get anything that’s made of plastic. Any color will do and they don’t have to be of the same size and color.

RECITE THE PRAJNAPARAMITA MANTRA. I’ll discuss more about the Prajnaparamita Mantra and its Sutra in one of my future posts but right now what’s important is to understand that this mantra is a powerful mantra that helps actualize harmony within the home or anywhere where this mantra is recited. If possible, recite this mantra in the living room or in the center of the house. If the affected parties are staying in the same bedroom, then reciting this in the bedroom is also good. For utmost effectiveness, recite one full mala (one full mala is 108 times) five times a day. You can recite all the five full mala at one time, but it’s best if it’s spread throughout the day. The PRAJNAPARAMITA MANTRA is – TADYATHA OM GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI SOHA. (Note on Pronunciation: GATE is pronounced as GA – short A and TE as Tay – sounds like long A or the English word TAIL without the L).

Symbolic Script of the Prajnaparamita Mantra. The actual script reads GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI SOHA. However, when reciting the mantra one needs to add TADYATHA OM, making the full mantra TADYATHA OM GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI SOHA. One can also print several copies of the symbolic script of the Prajnaparamita Mantra and fold it and put in inside a red cloth. Then give one each to all affected members of the family.

SUN POWER TO CLEANSE NEGATIVE ENERGIES. Regularly cleanse your mattress, pillows, and blankets from negative energies. These are the things that we use in the evening, and we leave an energy imprint on them, they are also seldom exposed to direct natural Yang energy, thus it becomes Yin energy, this in turn may contribute to the negative energy that creates disharmony. Cleaning them with Sun Power is an effective way of infusing some Yang energy on them. You can do this every 2 weeks, bring out the mattress, clean blankets and pillows and expose them to direct sunlight. Preferably between 7 and 9 in the morning.

CLEAR CLUTTER. Clear all the clutter in the house. Clutters tend to create energy blockage, which in turn may also create disharmony among others.

MOON AND PERFUMED WATER RITUAL. (1.) On an evening with a full moon, place a big bowl of water, make sure you use white colored bowl. While it should be full, make sure that it doesn’t spill. (2.) Leave the bowl of water under the moon from 7PM to 6AM the following day. (3.) Place 5 different flowers that has five different colors that represents the five elements. Red, pink, orange, purple flower for the fire element; white flower for the metal element; blue flower for the water element; green flower for the wood element; yellow flower for the earth element. The flowers will be put in the Moon energized water at 6AM the following day. (4.) Bring the water inside the house and if possible put it on your altar then say the PRAJNAPARAMITA MANTRA 108 times. If you don’t have an altar just bring it in the living room or at the center of the house. (5.) After saying the full mala of PRAJNAPARAMITA MANTRA, blow on the water. (6.) Then put a pinch of salt and a pinch of saffron the water. In the absence of water one can also use any other ordinary scented oil. Almond or Vanilla are also very good. Florida Water may be use also. (7.) Sprinkle the water in the living room, and in the bedrooms of the affected members of the family. (8.) Leave some of the water to be mixed in the bath water of the affected members of the family. About one tablespoon per person will do.

 

Feng Shui is Personal

The past few days I got several emails from readers of this blog and calls from my friends asking whether I’ve seen the jade pendant of Kris Aquino. I suppose Google search on Kris Aquino’s Jade Pendant went up also because of this interest about what she’s wearing.

I’ve seen the pendant that she’s been wearing, and yes it’s nice. Judging from the look of it it’s a jadeite and not a nephrite. Can’t really tell unless I see it in person and able to touch it. I’m also thinking that people are asking because they want to buy such a pendant for themselves. If you’re looking for it as a ornamental jewelry, I guess, that’s perfectly fine, but, if you’re looking for it as a Feng Shui jewelry allow me to say that what works for her may not work for you.

Why? Simple. Feng Shui is personal.

While there are some basic Feng Shui guidelines that we can all follow, the real essence of Feng Shui is personal. What works for a friend may not work for you. For Feng Shui to be truly effective one has to look at the following:

Kua Number. A Kua number, which is computed base on your birth date determines your lucky and unlucky directions, this also defines your health sector. While people with the same Kua number will have the same lucky and unlucky directions, you should note that there are 9 Kua numbers, meaning there are nine possible combinations.

Astrological Weight. Again your astrological weight is computed base on your birth date. This basically defines on what kind of life one has or will have. Base on your astrological birth weight one can advice a possible Feng Shui charm that one will need for the rest of their life.

BAZI Chart. The Bazi is also called Paht Chee, 8 Characters, and 4 Pillars. Bazi, Paht Chee, and Eight Characters basically mean the same thing; it’s just said in different languages, namely and respectively in Mandarin, Hong Kong Chinese, and English. In fact, there are other terms for Bazi but they are all basically the same, and the ones mentioned here are the most common one. It is also called Four Pillars, because when writing down the Bazi you create four different pillars that help define who you are and your life luck, from this we then get the Life Luck Cycle Pillar. The Bazi is also computed through your birth date, and here we are able to look deeply as to what are your elements, your ruling element, your self-element, and what are the charms that you need. I once heard Chico Garcia of The Morning Rush of RX 93.1 saying that – I WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE A VERY BAD YEAR LAST YEAR, BUT EVERYTHING TURN OUT WELL. That is because I would assume that he got a ‘generic forecast’, meaning, he would have just read it on the news paper, magazine, or a Feng Shui web site selling a Feng Shui charm, or a Feng Shui annual forecast book.

I’m also guilty of writing down an annual forecast that is because I always believe that not all people will have access to or will be able to afford a Bazi reading. However, I always stress that the general annual forecast is just that – a general reading, in some ways it can be considered as a generic reading. I also avoided suggesting Feng Shui cures that may have an effect on the person base on their basket of elements.

The past couple of years showed a significant lack of the water element, and because of this a lot of the Feng Shui experts who sells Annual Feng Shui Forecast books and Feng Shui charms or cures recommended a Water Charm. While the said Water Charm may be useful for some people, it should be noted that there are people who can’t carry a Feng Shui charm because they may have a heavy weighting of the water element and ‘carrying’ more water will definitely be bad for them. In the same manner that they dispense of recommendations of the year’s lucky color, colors of clothes that we wear has a significant effect on our life because colors are representation of the five elements that governed the principle of Feng Shui – WATER, WOOD, FIRE, EARTH, METAL. So for 2012 Year of the Water Dragon’s Bazi indicates that there is a significance lack of fire element, you’ll hear people say that this year’s lucky color are – RED, ORANGE, PINK, VIOLET, PURPLE, because these are the colors that represent the fire element. Again, while this in general is correct, people who have a very high fire element in their Basket of Elements base on their Bazi chart will find themselves getting into more fight, being exhausted, or ‘burning’ of their luck if they follow the so called lucky colors of the year.

Going back to Kris Aquino’s jade pendant, if she’s wearing it as a Feng Shui charm then it might have been suggested by her Feng Shui consultant, however, buying the same pendant, which I presume is going to be pricey if its made of high quality jade, more so if it’s a nephrite jade, then furthermore expensive if somebody decides to market it as Kris Aquino’s Jade Pendant, will still not ensure that it will have the same beneficial effect on you.

Always remember that Feng Shui is personal. If you happen to see a Feng Shui expert who markets a Kris Aquino Jade Pendant without even looking at your Bazi chart, your alarm signal should go off. Asking for your year of birth is not enough. It has to be your full birth date and time, and she or he must show you your Bazi chart for her or him to really be able to give an intelligent advice on your Feng Shui for your life or for the year.

REMEMBER FENG SHUI IS PERSONAL.

Feng Shui Tips to Activate Descendant Luck

One of the greatest aspirations of the Chinese is to ensure that they have good descendants, thus when looking for a spouse they consult Feng Shui experts to ensure that descendant’s luck of a couple is present. In fact, once the wife gets pregnant she is treated like a goddess, even the mother-in-law will definitely make sure that the pregnant daughter-in-law is taken care of properly to ensure a smooth pregnancy.

Also, in the old days much effort is given to ensuring that a boy is born, is to ensure the family’s lineage is well preserved. A girl is considered as a less important child because she is destined to be married off to another family, and thus considered as somebody else’s child. In fact, this practice or belief has become so bad that there are some Chinese families who don’t give names to their daughter because they’re destined to be known as the wife of so-so. Thus when addressing them in the household they’re simply called as First Daughter, Second Daughter, Big Sister, or Second Sister, or Third Sister. When addressed by somebody else other than their family they’re simply called as ‘First Daughter of Wong Family’ they’re simply defined by their family name and whether they’re the eldest daughter or the youngest, etc. When they get married they’re then simply defined by the husband’s family name. My own grandmother doesn’t even have her own name.

However, because I don’t believe that women are of a ‘lesser’ being compared to men, I will not write about Feng Shui tips in ensuring that the couple are to have a boy, rather, I’d like to share some Feng Shui tips to activate one’s Descendant Luck or Fertility Luck.

Several of the Feng Shui tips that I’m going to mention are things that I’ve recommended to friends and family.

RED KUAN YIN PENDANT.  Kuan Yin (also known as ‘Goddess of Mercy’, ‘Buddha of Compassion’) is a Bodhisattva revered both in Taoism and Buddhism. Kuan Yin grants the wish of having of babies. For this purpose a red Kuan Yin (also spelled as Kwan Yin, Quan Yin) is best to help you activate your Descendant’s Luck. It is highly recommended that both the husband and the wife wear a red Kuan Yin pendant. However, if this is not possible, then it is recommended that the woman wear the pendant. I have three different previous post about Kuan Yin. Get to know her by reading them. RABBIT. A rabbit is a very powerful symbol of fertility. It’s believes that placing the image of a rabbit in the East section of the bedroom can increase the chances of fertility.

HAPPY FAT BUDDHA WITH CHILDREN. Having the image of the Happy Fat Buddha whose real name is Maitreya Buddha in your house helps increase your potential of having a good descendant luck. You can also know more about the Happy Fat Buddha by clicking here.

CARNELIAN BRACELET. Carnelian or Carnelian Agates or Orange Agates worn as bracelet is one of the best fertility charm. Carnelian is a stone or semi-precious stone that directly controls our sixth chakra – the sire where our reproductive organs are located. Wearing a carnelian as a bracelet will increase the wearer’s chance of being more fertile. This charm is also great for people who have found to have low sperm or egg count.

IMAGE OF KUAN YIN WITH A BABY. Placing an image of Kuan Yin with a Baby is another Feng Shui Descendant Luck enhancer. For this purpose, it’s best to place the image of Kuan Yin with a Baby on the west section of your house. If this is not possible you can also place the image of Kuan Yin with a Baby in the West corner of your living room.

A PAIR OF ELEPHANTS. This is one of the most effective Feng Shui cure and enhancer to activate one’s descendant luck. You should note that the trunk of the elephants should be down and not up. Place a pair of elephants with the trunks down on the west section of your room and if possible both couples should stroke the trunks of the elephant three times each night.

THREE PIECES OF CERAMIC OR PORCELAIN POMEGRANATE AND/OR PEACH. Both the pomegranate and the peach are powerful Feng Shui tools to enhance your descendant luck or fertility luck. In choosing a ceramic or porcelain pomegranate, choose the one that has a color of deep red. For ceramic or porcelain peach choose one that has a color of bright pink.

RECITE THE MANTRA OF GODDESS TARA. Goddess Tara or Green Tara is a Buddhist deity born out of Avalokitesvara or Kuan YIn’s tear drop. I’ll discuss more about Green Tara on a future post, however, allow me to say that calling on Goddess Tara by reciting her mantra is one way of activating one’s Descendant Luck. Furthermore, placing an image of the white manifestation of Goddess Tara called White Tara on the west section of your house also activates one’s descendant luck. Goddess Tara’s mantra is OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA. Wearing her seed syllable TAM is also a powerful tool to activate one’s descendant luck. The seed syllable TAM is one of the featured symbolic syllable in the WISH FULFILLING AND BUDDHA’S BLESSING MANTRA PENDANT.

Myth Buster 5: A Tortoise or Turtle Slows Down Career, Business, Wealth, and Personal Growth

I often here people say that having a turtle as a pet or having its image in the home or office is bad. In fact, I once saw a mom scolding her son for buying a turtle for a pet without asking her permission. Heard her tell her son that having a turtle in the house is bad.

This is one of the greatest and most common misconceptions. A turtle or tortoise is considered by a lot of people as bad because it is slow and timid. However, the truth is a turtle or tortoise is one of the most powerful Feng Shui protection and enhancer one can have.

For Feng Shui purposes, will just use the term tortoise, while a turtle and a tortoise has some biological differences with each other, they are actually have the same Feng Shui effects, so in Feng Shui a turtle and a tortoise is one and the same.

As mentioned a tortoise is one of the most powerful tool one can use both as a protector and enhancer. The tortoise is one of the Four Feng Shui Animals (some people call this as 4 Celestial Animals but only two of the animals in the 4 Feng Shui Animals are actually considered celestial) that should always be present or represented in any home or establishment.

The 4 Feng Shui animals are the Green Dragon, which is in the East, the Red Phoenix that should be present in the South, the White Tiger that is located in the West, and finally, the Black Tortoise, which is in the North. However, East-West-North-South here doesn’t exactly refer to the compass direction. In an actual Feng Shui setting, East is represented by the left side of the house, South is represented by the front side of the house, West is represented by the right side of the house, and North is represented by the back of the house.

For now we’ll focus on the Black Tortoise or simply Tortoise. A Tortoise symbolizes stability, strength, and support, does it always has to be put at the backside of the house. If your family needs financial stability, putting a tortoise at the back of the house will help you have the said stability. It is a great protection and energy-strengthening tool.

Placing a tortoise behind your workplace will also give you the career stability that you need. Furthermore, it gives you the energy support that all career people need, especially if you work in a highly competitive atmosphere.

One other function of a tortoise is for longevity. In this sense, it is better to put the tortoise in the actual compass north.

You need not get a real turtle or tortoise, in fact, unless you can really take care of them properly, it is better to simply get an image of a tortoise. I personally believe a tortoise made of metal or jade works best. Getting a real tortoise, and not being able to take care of them properly may cause more harm than good, specially, if they die because of neglect.

Feng Shui Tips to Enhance Your Wealth Luck!

When people found out that I studied Feng Shui and do Feng Shui consulting and audit on the side, they always ask me as to how can they enhance their wealth luck. Again, this is a question that can be fully answered by looking at the Bazi (also called Paht Chee, Four Pillars, Eight Characters) chart of the person. The Bazi is basically a formula wherein you look at the luck potential of a person by looking at their birth date and time.

However, having said this, there are some universal feng shui wealth symbols that each one of us can use to enhance our wealth luck.

THREE LEGGED TOAD

The 3-Legged Toad. Please make sure when buying this you choose a three legged toad, there are some who sells the image of the frog. It's not the same. It has to be the three-legged toad and choose the one with a coin in its mouth.

The three legged toad is one of the oldest and most powerful feng shui wealth charm or enhancer. However, for some time it was quite forgotten until Lillian Too of World of Feng Shui popularized it again.

My personal experience with the three legged toad is simply astounding. However, what I want to share with you right now is about a friend’s experience with the three legged toad. She asked me as to what can enhance her financial luck. After looking at her chart, I saw that her wealth luck is already ripe, but for some reason it hasn’t manifested yet. In fact, she’s currently in dire financial problem. I told her to get a three legged toad. Furthermore, I gave her a three legged toad pendant, and 2 months after she got the pendant and the three legged toads which she displayed in her house, she won the grand jackpot prize of the 6/42 lotto (in the Philippines). She won more than 4 million pesos! She swears its because of the three legged toad…and I fully agree.

In getting the three legged toad, please make sure that you place it adjacent to your front door. You can 3, 6, or 9 or more as long as its divisible by 3. Make sure that you have one toad facing the door and the other facing inside the house. Just scatter them on the floor, it can be under your table or chair. Never put the three legged toad on the table they should always be on the floor and make sure that they all have a coin in their mouth!

SAILING SHIPS

In choosing a sailign ship, it would be better if it's made of metal and colored in gold. Please make sure also that it's going in and not out.

This is also one of the most powerful wealth charm or enhancer. You can place this on your sheng chi direction and or at the entrance of your house, store, or office. But please make sure that it’s ‘going in’ and not ‘going out’. You can also add some lucky coins on the ship.

However, I need to stress that if your element in your Bazi chart is really high in water or a weak fire, the Sailing Ship may not be the best wealth enhancer for you.

I recommended this to a friend who’s retail store is just breaking even. He’s not making any money. After placing the Sailing Ship in his store, his sales started increasing. In fact, he now has 3 other stores.

THE AUSPICIOUS WEALTH VASE

The Wealth Vase is used by a lot of Chinese to tap into their wealth luck. In fact, if you go to a house of a wealthy person in China, most likely they'll have a wealth vase hidden somewhere in their house.

This is another powerful wealth enhancer. In fact, when I went to China, I realized that a lot of my wealthier relatives has wealth vases in their house. Yes, they keep not just one but several. One of my distant uncle has one in his living room, another one in the kitchen, one for each of the bedrooms, so not surprisingly, he also the wealthiest of my relatives in China.

The wealth vase is also both a Taoist and Buddhist wealth enhancer. In fact, to this day you’ll see Buddhist temples doing wealth vase blessings or wealth vase ceremonies.

In preparing a wealth vase you’ll need the following:

Any auspicious looking vase with a big mouth and a large body. It should have a cover also.

Five different cloth that can cover the head of the Vase. The colors should be white (metal), red (fire), blue (water), yellow (earth), green (wood). They represent the five elements.

Five different strings also representing the 5 elements.

3 different beans or grains. (E.g. Coffee bean, Red Bean, Rice Grain)

Whole Tea Leaves

Salt

Sugar

Three different candies  or preserved fruits (no menthol).

Soil (preferably from a rich man that you admire).

Money – Five different denominations. (Preferably you ask this from the rich people that you admire.)

Picture of 3 different rich person.

Picture of your dream house.

Picture of your dream car.

Faux diamond or other semi precious stone.

Faux gold coins, ingots, bars.

Incense.

Image or Statuette of a Deity (Guan Gong, Sun Wukong (Monkey G0d), Tua Peh Kong, Dzambhala). They should be made of metal.

Wealth Amulets from a a Taoist temple. (Optional)

First you place the soil at the bottom of the vase, followed by the tea leaves, grains, fruit preserves or candies, salt, sugar, picture of the dream house, dream car, wealth people, and then the money.

Put the wealth deity on top of the money. Take note where its facing and consider it as the front side of the wealth vase. Make a mark so you don’t forget.

Then fill the wealth vase with faux gems, gold (coins, ingots, bars) and all the other ‘ingredients’. Once they filled place the Taoist wealth amulets. Then cover with the lid. Place the 5 different cloth on top of the lid. Yellow first, followed by white, followed by blue, then followed by green, then red. Then tie it with the five different color strings.

Place your wealth vase inside the cabinet to keep it hidden. Make sure that the deity inside is not facing out of the house but rather he should be facing in, thus you need to make a mark.

This is my personal wealth vase. Took it out to take a picture of it, but its hidden inside my cabinet. I chose the color red for my vase because I lack the element of fire. FAUX GOLD COINS OR INGOTS

If you’re just building your house, it would be great if you can bury 168 pieces of faux gold coins under your main entrance. By doing this you literally walk on them every time you enter your house, thus you seem like ‘walking on money’. Also, you can put 21 pieces of this faux coins at all the entrance of the bedrooms of your house. You can also put 21 pieces of this faux gold coins under your bed.

You can also litter faux gold coins or faux gold ingots at different parts and corners of your house. This is to signify ‘money everywhere’.

WEAR THE IMAGE OF A WEALTH DEITY OR OF THE DRAGON.

Should you decide to get a dragon pendant, please make sure that the dragon looks tough! Also get the one without wings. A winged dragon is of western mythology and may not be totally appropriate for Feng Shui because they're considered 'bad'. Also, please remember that people born under the sign of the DOG CANNOT WEAR A DRAGON PENDANT!

Another powerful wealth enhancer is the wearing of the different images of wealth deity. This is better if the pendant is made of gold, because for the Chinese gold is considered as the ultimate symbol of wealth and is also very auspicious.

Some of the suggested deity pendants are the image of KUAN YIN, GUAN GONG (KUAN KONG), DZAMBHALA, MAITREYA BUDDHA (also known as THE HAPPY FAT BUDDHA), and SUN WUKONG.

These are Kuan Yin pendants from my personal collection. Got several pieces of these pendants to be able to sell them to those who are interested.

Back image of the Kuan Yin pendant. This is the reason why I love these pendants is because they have very nicely crafted image of Kuan Yin pouring healing and auspicious from her magical vase, and at the back it has the Heart Sutra (silver one) and a special White Robed Kuan YIn prayer (gold).

If wearing an image of a deity for wealth purposes, it is better to get something that's made of gold. Something that's made of a semi-precious stone will also do, but gold is better.

This a Maitreya Buddha pendant, who is famously called as the Happy Fat Buddha. This is made of 24k gold and is from my private collection. I chose this pendant because of its nice facial features.

Personally, I always wear my WEALTH AND MASTER PROTECTION PENDANT. This has an image of SUN WUKONG (THE GREAT SAGE, EQUAL OF HEAVEN) and is also made in 14k gold. On top of that Sun Wukong is also a great protector god and at the back of the pendant it also has the Celestial Guardians (protection from the 3 Killings) and the Five Element Pagoda (protection from the 5 Yellow) and the Ksitigarbha Fireball (protection from the Argumentative Star).

Sun Wukong or The Great Sage Equal of Heaven (aka Monkey God, Monkey King, Victorious Fighting Buddha, Bimawen, Pilgrim) is a very powerful protector and wealth god. He is one of the few deities/buddha reverred both in Taoism and Buddhism. As far as I know this is the only Sun Wukong pendant made of real gold. Have been looking for one for quite some time because I know that Sun Wukong is both a wealth and protector god, however, I can't find any, not even in China, HK, Singapore, and Taiwan, so I decided to just make my own. At the back of the Wealth and Master Protection Pendant is the Chinese character for the GREAT SAGE, EQUAL OF HEAVEN, and the image of the 3 Celestial Guardians (namely the Fu Dog, Piyao, and Chilin), at the bottom are the Five Element Pagoda and the Ksitigarbha Fireball. This is the only pendant that you'll get that has all the essential Feng Shui cures. I decided to just put them all in one pendant so that you don't have to wear a lot and spend a lot of money.
